Kankuro and Temari jumped onto the field Aceso stepped onto the field and knelt beside Sasuke. They then saw a purple force field form on top of the stands where Lord Hokage sat, and Lord Kazekage had him trapped.

" What's going on here?" Sasuke asked.

" Nothing good," Aceso breathed as she put chakra ointment on his arm.

" I don't need that," Sasuke glared at her.

" You will thank me later," Aceso said. " This match has turned into a battle, you and Gaara aren't the only combatants anymore, it's anyone that can fight."

" What?" Sasuke breathed.

" Stop it, Gaara!" Temari demanded. They looked over at the three sand ninja siblings.

" I must kill him!" Gaara heaved, then took a step forward.

" There's no point in continuing this fight," Kankuro argued as he got in front of him.

" That's right," Temari agreed. " Don't forget our mission."

" Out of my way," Gaara ordered as he pushed Kankuro aside and stepped forward.

" What are you three doing now?" Baki demanded as he appeared in front of them. " Can't you see the operation's already underway?" Baki looked forward as Gaara grabbed his head groaning, Genma appeared in front of the other two.

" What is going on? Tell me!" Sasuke demanded.

" They had a mission," Aceso noted. " We are their mission."

" To kill us?" Sasuke asked.

" And the whole village," Aceso answered as she glanced up at where Lord Hokage was being held captive.

" Just the three of them?" Sasuke asked.

" No, more people are involved, I don't know who," Aceso answered.

" Gaara!" Temari exclaimed as he fell to his knees groaning.

" What's wrong?" Kankuro asked.

" His wound's worse than I thought," Temari said as she knelt beside him. " And his chakra's almost completely drained away." She looked directly at Aceso.

" Wait, what about using that--" Kankuro began.

" It's impossible right now," Temari said. " We ran out of chakra medicine and I'm sure we will not be getting anymore without force."

" You fool," Baki hissed at Gaara. " It's all because you tried to transform before the signal was given."

" So what do we do now?" Kankuro asked. " We need Gaara for this."

" Gaara's the trump card of the Village Hidden in the Sand," Baki said. " We have to get him to play his part, no matter what. All right, for now, you two take Gaara and tend to his wounds. As soon as his chakra has been restored, the operation will continue."

" You got it," Kankuro confirmed as he got Gaara from one side and held him up. " I have a feeling the medicine we need will fall right into our hands."

" Doesn't mean you will get your hands on it," Aceso denied as she slipped it into her bag.

" And you, Sensei?" Temari asked as she stood up.

" I'm going to take care of these guys," Baki said as he looked at the three in front of him.

" Do you really think that things will go according to your plan?" Genma asked.

" I'll make sure that they do," Baki grunted. Sweat dripped off the proctor's face as they all stared at each other. " Go!"

" Yes, right," Temari said before those two took off with Gaara.

" Heh," Baki smiled as the other three grunted.

" And is the host of this party, Orochimaru?" Genma asked.

" Don't know," Baki answered as Sasuke gasped. " And don't care. Now let's heat things up, huh?"

" Sasuke..." Genma began. " I'm sorry, but the Chunin exam, ends here for you. You've already achieved Chunin level. You're a Leaf Village shinobi so put your training to good use."

" In other words, I'm supposed to take down Gaara, right?" Sasuke asked. " Our match continues?"

" Just be careful," Genma answered.

" As I said before, it's the real thing now, not a match," Aceso informed.

" What I must do is the same," Sasuke said.

" Go with him Aceso, he's going to need help, and make sure he comes back alive," Genma ordered.

" Sir," Aceso nodded, she and Sasuke turned around and took off.

" Not so fast!" Baki denied. There was a cling of metal from behind them as the two jumped, going over the wall.

" Explain everything you can to me," Sasuke ordered.

"About Gaara?" Aceso asked.

" Who else?" Sasuke asked.

" Everything I thought I knew about him was a lie, but he did say something yesterday in Lee's hospital room," Aceso answered as they stopped running.

" Why were you two in his room?" Sasuke asked as he picked up sand. " This way."

" I was there to do the next round of ointment," Aceso answered as she started running again, jumping into the trees.

" And Gaara?" Sasuke asked.

" To kill Lee," Aceso answered.

" Huh?" Sasuke gasped.

" Gaara says he lives solely for himself, loves only himself, killing others is what helps him make feel alive," Aceso explained. " His father, the Kazekage, placed a demonic Jutsu on him before he was born. He was infused with a sand spirit named Shukaku, an old monk the sand village sealed up."

" Anything else?" Sasuke asked.

" Not that I can think of," Aceso answered.

" We can't let him get away," Sasuke said.

" Then let's pick up the pace," Aceso stated, they picked up a bit more speed to catch up. It became cloudy, soon they jumped over a branch and it lit up, they looked back to see that they had been caught in a trap. Where ever they landed, a bomb would go off, trip wires were located everywhere.

" Well, that was close," Sasuke said as they stood upside down a tree, looking down.

" A bit too close," Aceso commented. "Let's keep going. " They ran a bit. Sasuke threw a kunai knife, hitting the tree that Temari and her siblings were in.

" We finally caught you," Sasuke confirmed as she looked over at the two.

" Did you really think that we'd let you get away?" Aceso asked as they stood in a tree, a few feet away.

" Oh, geez," Kankuro groaned.

" If it isn't Sasuke Uchiha," Temari remarked. " And Doctor Matusba."

" This is far as you guys go," Sasuke said as he flipped a knife in his hand.

" So, what're you two going to do, huh?" Kankuro asked.

" Go, Kankuro," Temari ordered as she jumped up. " Get Gaara away from here." She threw a couple of kunai knives, the two easily dodged them. " I'll take care of these two." She landed on a branch.

" Don't be a fool Temari," Kankuro suggested. " Uchiha's too much for you to handle all by yourself, plus Matsuba."

" Don't argue," Temari demanded. " Our mission is to make sure that Gaara is safe. He's our first and only priority. Don't worry about me. This is what I've been waiting for." Sasuke and Aceso glanced at each other before focusing on Temari. " Get going, Kankuro." He nodded and took off.

" No, you don't!" Sasuke denied as he threw knives, and each of them missed.

" Damn," Aceso grunted. The two jumped up, to go follow, soon stopped by Temari.

" Take this!" Temari yelled as she swung her fan. The wind blew them back, Aceso did a hand sign, her rope attached to a tree, she swung around and kicked Temari, she went flying to another tree.

" Good one, Aceso!" Sasuke encouraged as he jumped to the same branch levels as them. Temari stood up panting, looking at Aceso and Sasuke. She opened her fan and put it in front of her, only showing the head and up. Birds chipped, flying past them in a hurry. The three jumped up, Aceso and Sasuke threw throwing stars, and Temari easily blocked them with her fan. Each of them landed on another branch.

" Wind Scythe Jutsu!" Temari shouted as she waved her fan. The two of them jumped away from the slicing wind, going higher and higher.

" Is that the best you two can do?" Temari asked they jumped away from another wind attack and threw more stars. " Sand Storm Jutsu!" The wind threw the two back into a tree.

" Ugh!" Aceso and Sasuke yelped out before they got cover on the other side of the trees. They then looked at each other. He pointed at her ropes, she pointed at his hand, and they both nodded. Sasuke jumped out as Aceso jumped into a high branch and began her Jutsu.

" Fire Style!" Sasuke shouted. " Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" Multiple fireballs shout, aiming at Temari. She jumped up with a smirk, Aceso finished her Jutsu and the ropes shot out and tied around her feet. Not particularly what she was going for, Temari now dangled above the fire below her. " Fire Style! Fireball Jutsu!" A giant ball of fire shot out.

" Wind Scythe Jutsu!" Temari shouted as she shot the flames back at them, Aceso saw that the end of her rope had been cut and was on fire. They both jumped away. Sasuke slipped on sand and fell off the branch he landed on while Aceso landed on a higher branch. " You're mine!" She shot up, soon the two were crossing each other. All mine!" She threw knives into his body. Sasuke let out a grunt and landed on the ground, seconds later smoke puffed out and there was a log instead of Sasuke. " What the--A substitution?" A bomb was located on the log. " Oh no!" She covered herself with her arms as it went off. As she went flying back, she looked back to see Aceso standing there with her fan, a rope was around it. " She gasped and looked to see nothing was on her back. Aceso then swung the fan and hit her in the back, sending her flying. She landed, and skidded to a stop, coughed up blood. Sasuke then appeared on a branch as Aceso took a vine and tied the fan against a tree.

" Gotta run," Sasuke declared as Temari struggled to sit up. " We've wasted way too much time on you already." The two took off in the trees to catch up with Kankuro and Gaara.

" Nicely done Sasuke," Aceso complimented.

" Not bad yourself," Sasuke said. " Not as much as a pushover as Sakura thinks you are."

" Let her think it," Aceso said. " I don't want to ruin her day."

" Hm," Sasuke smirked. The two quickly caught up, Sasuke threw a few knives, but they all missed. Then they all stopped standing in two separate trees.

" You through running away?" Sasuke panted.

" Who says I was running?" Kankuro asked. " I'll take you two on. No problem.

" Wait!" Temari yelled as she came crashing through, with her fan.

" Uh! Temari?" Kankuro asked as she landed next to him. " When they showed up and you didn't, I thought they must have finished you."

" They could have," Temari panted. " And why they didn't, I don't know." She then stood up. " I guess I didn't delay them for very long, did I?"

" It's okay," Kankuro assured. " Every second gives Gaara more time to recover. And the more chakra Uchiha and Matsuba are forced to use up, the better for us.

" Heh, heh," Sasuke laughed, Aceso put her hand on her bag, she could feel all her supplies.

" I got this Kankuro," Temari assured. " Get Gaara out of here. Go on." Kankuro jumped forward and took off Crow, putting him on the branch. Gaara was laid over the branch. Aceso recalled seeing Crow in action during the preliminaries.

" Temari, you take Gaara and go on ahead," Kankuro ordered.

" Huh?" Temari asked.

" You're all worn out," Kankuro pointed out. " Look at yourself. Go on. You'll only get in my way."

" Wait, a second," Temari protested.

" Get moving!" Kankuro shouted.

"Uh!" Temari gasped, she then looked at her youngest brother.

" Hurry up," Kankuro demanded.

" All right," Temari gave in.

" Okay, Uchiha, Doctor Matsuba," Kankuro began as Temari picked up Gaara. " Time you two picked on someone your own size."

" Heh!" Sasuke laughed as Temari took off. " Whatever you say.

" Hold on," Someone interrupted, they looked over to see Shino. " I've got dibs on him first, Sasuke and Aceso.

" What do you want?" Kankuro demanded.

" Shino, how did you find us?" Aceso asked.

" I planted a beetle on Sasuke as you two left the arena," Shino explained as he pointed at Sasuke. " A female beetle." Sasuke looked down to see two beetles on him. " She gives off a very faint scent. Nothing you could detect, but the male of the species can. He has a very strong sense of smell and he'd follow her anywhere. Kankuro gasped when he saw beetles at his feet. " Sasuke Uchiha, it's Gaara you two are really after. That is because your match against him was left unfinished."

" Heh," Aceso smiled.

" Well, I have similar unfinished business with Kankuro," Shino informed. " Because our match never even started. He's mine. Leave him to me. You two go."

" You should take this," Aceso said as she reached into her bag and threw the ointment to Shino, he caught it. " You be careful." He nodded.

" Well, all right then," Sasuke agreed. " If you're sure you're okay.

" Don't worry," Shino assured. " Give me 10 minutes and I'll come after you two to see if you're okay."

" Don't waste your time," Sasuke said cockily. " By then my work will be done too." The two then took off after Temari and Gaara.
