Chapter 75

I snorted out, but she was gone before I could say anything. "So, Bobby is in heaven?" I asked. "Yeah," Sam finished the trial with a spell. He cried out in pain. It was tough to watch, but I was more sad about Benny not coming back from Purgatory. Since Benny's remains were in my car, I drove to Louisiana, where we met, giving him a burial in the woods before heading to the bunker, arriving in the middle of the night. Sam and Dean were asleep already, so I snuck inside and went to sleep quietly, crying myself to sleep looking at the picture of us Liz took of us in the cafe just a few weeks after we met, leaning against my nightlight. The next morning, I stayed in bed until there was a knock on my door. "Can I come in?" Dean asked from the other side of the door. "Leave me alone, Dean," I grumbled when Dean stuck his head inside. "Kaylee, please." Dean didn't give up when I had had enough. "No, Dean, what is there to talk about?" I asked, getting up from the bed. "Maybe that Benny, your friend, sacrificed his life to get Sammy and Bobby out of Purgatory?" I snapped. "I wanted him to come back and have a life here." I let out a sigh when another voice chirped into the conversation. "He wasn't happy here in this normal world," Sam said from the door. "Benny wanted you to know he chose to stay in Purgatory, and for you not to be sad about his decision; it was his choice," Sam added. "I know you wanted to know what was between Benny and me, but I can't tell you." I quietly said towards Dean, bringing my knees closer to my face and leaning my cheek against them. I thought of the Moment he and I had, they were different than the moments I shared with Ash, while Benny and I never had sex, he and I still shared special moments. Dea told me he wanted to go for a supply run, probably getting more beer and snacks for himself, but I just shook my head, hiding my face so Sam and Dean couldn't see my tears. Dean and Sam exchanged some whispered words when someone sat next to me on the bed, but I didn't look up who it was. "You decorated beautifully, it suits you." I heard Sam say. Feeling his weight shift, I leaned over to my nightstand, where I had the pictures of my friends and my family.  Sam took a picture of Mom and Dad hugging tightly in the picture. Sam smiled, which I could see through the corner of my eye. "I miss them," I whispered. Sam let out a breath. "Yeah, me too," he admitted. Sam left after a few minutes; I got up and eventually showered. When I went into the library, Dean wasn't back yet, so I made some coffee before sitting on my Laptop and checking through the police scanner for anything weird, but nothing came up. While reading an article, I heard the door open and Dean returning with several bags, and on the phone, but I had no idea what it was about. I got up to get some more coffee, and when I returned, a very sleepy Sam was sitting on the opposite side of Dean. "Mornin' sleeping beauty." I smiled, walking past a destroyed beer bottle. "What happened there?" I asked, nodding behind me. "You don't want to know," Dean said. I sat down next to Sam. "Do we know anything about Kevin?" Sam asked. "Nothing; I've hacked into every security camera around Garth's houseboat, Kevin's hometown, where Mrs. Tran lived," Dean told him. "And?" Sam asked. "Well, nothing so far; I've been watching them in case he popped up," I said, sitting down and turning my Laptop back up with all the websites and cameras I had hacked into.

Dean looked up from the screen. "Dean, we have to find him." Sam sounded desperate for answers since Dean and Sam had been caring for him, and I refused to set foot on that boat after we had been back, finding Kevin was gone. "I know. I know, but Garth is out looking for him; we got a hunter APB out on Kevin; we will do what we can from here while you get better." Dean said; I saw how pale and sick Sam looked. "I'm fine. Dean, I can still go out there. I can still hunt." Sam grumbled. "Well, I call bullshit since you're pale and look like a zombie." I looked at Sam. "Im with Kee." Dean smiled.

"Oh, come on." Sam was a little frustrated. "Really?" Dean and I asked at the same time. Since Dean didn't believe Sam, he led us around the bunker to a shooting gallery. "Wow, I didn't know we had this," I said, looking around. Dean and Sam were standing at one of the ranges. Dean had his gun with him. "This is stupid," Sam grumbled as I walked to his other side. Dean loaded his rifle; I pressed my fingers into my ears as Dean fired twice at a piece of paper on the other side of the gallery. When he was finished and had the gun on the table in front of him, I was able to take my fingers out of my ears.

"Alright, you hit that target; well, talk about getting you back out there," Dean said, moving the gun towards him. "Sam tried to fire but failed miserably. "Look, man, this second trial hit you much harder than that first one. I don't know whether it was just more intense or what." Dean said. I knew what he meant. "I felt the same till the next day," Sam told us. "But we will sit tight until you get better." I smacked him on the shoulder and walked back out, looking around the hallway, and found an empty room and one with a weird control booth. When I heard Sam and Dean walking away from me, I closed the door and followed them back into the library, where we sat quietly at the table when Sam's Laptop chirped. "It's from Charlie," he said.
