Chapter 74
A light chuckle came from the other side. "Don't worry about me, really, it's gonna be fine." I let out a breath. "Just take care, please, you're my teddy bear," I whispered, hearing Benny chuckle. "Will do, hunny bun." I giggled before passing the phone back to Dean, turning away, hiding my tears. Dean and Benny exchanged a few words before he hung up the phone. Around two hours after we ended the call, an old pick-up camper drove into the alley, which I recognized immediately. Benny got out. I was very nervous to see him, but he walked right up to us, quickly hugging Dean before turning to me, awkwardly waiting, so I opened my arms for a hug. "Heya, darlin'," he smiled, embracing me in a very tight hug. "Hey." My voice was shaking. Benny released me, although he kept his hand on my back. "If you want nothing to do with this, I understand entirely," Dean told Benny, who didn't seem to notice the closeness between us. "When Dean Winchester is asking for a favour, he's not screwing around," Benny spoke next to me. When I looked up, I saw a smile on his face. For somebody around us, nobody would see friends talking, but only Benny, Dean, and I knew he was a vampire. "Sending you back there is not what I want to do ever," Dean replied, looking over to where I was standing, but I didn't meet his eyes, just looking down at the wet ground we were standing on. "I know, I know," Benny mumbled. "But our little brother is stuck down there, you're the only one who knows best how to get out of there," Dean replied, not really listening to what Benny said. Benny took his hand away from my back. "hun, hey, listen to me." Benny took my hands, turning his back to Dean, shielding me. "Look at me," he whispered before releasing one of his hands, placing the free hand on his face, making me look up into his piercing blue eyes. He leaned down, kissing me, which was a surprise to me since I hadn't expected this. Holding onto him on his side, when he released his lips, leaning my forehead against mine, staying close to him for a minute. "I will come back, I promise," he whispered. The only thing I was able to do was nod my head. Benny turned away from me, shaking Dean's Hand when he hugged Benny. I looked at Benny, who placed his hands on my face, kissing me on the top of my head, turning away from me, embracing my brother, while I quietly cried when I heard a thud.
"Kee, it is done. Now we get to Maine and wait for Sam, Benny, and Bobby," Dean said, closing the trunk. When I turned around, I saw blood on the floor. "What now?" I asked, taking a breath. "You think he's okay?" I asked, shaking, Dean nodded, pulling me into a tight embrace. While Dean was driving, he told me about the portal and how he got out of Purgatory.
As we arrived, we walked through the wilderness until there was a bright light; right away, I ran towards it, and Sam walked up to us. I hugged him tight, and Sam replied, feeling his arms tight around me. "Did you get him out?" Dean asked right away. "Only Bobby," Sam told us after they hugged. "What about Benny?" I asked, worried and angry. "He got us out. A bunch of vamps showed, and he used himself as bait. I get the feeling that even if that didn't happen, he didn't want to return, you know? I'm sorry." Sam looked between Dean and me back and forth. Dean asked about Bobby. Sam told us that Bobby was okay. "As he should be. Let's put that old man where he belongs." Dean said.
I backed away from Sam, who pulled up his sleeve, where a bright light was under his skin. I knew from Dean what he did for Benny, so I heard Sam say the chant, but when the light was going up towards the sky, we thought everything was okay until it turned into a cloud mixed with red and black. "What the hell?" Dean said. "Hello, Boys." A voice said. I shrieked and turned around to face Crowley. "Let him go, Asshat," I grumbled, moving towards him, but Sam pulled me back before I was close to him. "Let him go, Crowley. He doesn't belong in Hell." Dean grumbled next to me. "He does if I say he does. He's inflicted untold damage on my kind. From where I sit, Hell's too good for him. Really?"
Crowley flicked his fingers, and Sam, Dean, and I were flung backward against a colossal tree, although I was hit and fell on the ground a little underneath them, where I stayed motionless. I could only see through the corner of my eye how Crowley looked at the little light, which turned back into the light white and blue; when I raised my head as good as I could, I saw a woman not far from where I was. "Oh, come on," Cowley grumbled when he noticed her, too. "Let me see if I've interpreted the situation correctly. The Winchesters have freed an innocent from Hell, to which you are wrongfully trying to return it," she said towards Crowley, while I tried to get out of whatever he put me in, but he was strong. "Siding with them, Naomi? You don't know those three. Before they finish with whatever bollox they're cooking up, we'll both be locked away," he replied when I gave up and just listened. "I'm just hoping they lock you away, dear. The rest I'll figure out," she replied with a fake smile. "Bureaucrat. You're fighting outside your weight class," he hissed at Naomi. "Don't call me a bureaucrat," she snapped, extending her hand, a bright light; when she lowered it, I saw Crowley was gone, and I could move. "That little," I grumbled, getting up, not using foul language. "I told you you can trust me," she told Dean.
