The following week-

Sean was home from college, but he flew out to Danny's grandmothers house where Danny and Olivia would meet him. The Huston family was having an early thanksgiving. Sean and Olivia would be home just in time for thanksgiving.

For the next two days it was just Jessica, Sam and Logan. Jessica and Sam decided to take Logan to Jessica's old family cabin that was an hour away from home. Since it was already so cold in Minnesota the lake near the cabin would be frozen over. So Sam had the idea to teach him how to ice skate, and maybe some hockey.

Right before the left Jessica stalked up on tons of food for the three days they'd be gone. The day after they get home it would be Thanksgiving.

They arrived to the cabin very early in the morning so they'd have a head start.

Jessica ordered some skates for Logan and Sam. Jessica had her old skates in a closet at the cabin, but she didn't want to make her pregnancy any more high risk.

"Daddy I'm scared!" Logan says as he stares at the large lake that was frozen over.

"Don't be! You know, mommy used to do this everyday in the winter! Grammy and Grandpa took mommy, aunt Jane, Ann, and uncle George here when they were young like you!" Sam smiles

"You'll get the hang of it. See, look what mommy has here, a chair. It slides on the ice perfectly. This is how I learned. With a chair!" Jessica says putting the chair on the lake.

"Seriously? Your dad didn't use a cone?"

"Yes Sam, because we had large traffic cones laying around." Jessica giggles

"So if I hold on I'll be okay?" Logan asks

"Yes! Of course!" Sam says

"I want mommy to teach me." Logan insists

"Oh Logan, I can't. That's why you have daddy. He's much better."

Logan finally agreed. He ended up being on the ice all afternoon. He started to skate without the chair and migrated to holding Sam's hand.

While they skated Jessica went inside and started up their early dinner. Jessica was exhausted and she knew the boys would be too.

As she made up an easy spaghetti and meatballs dinner, her phone began to ring.

"Hello?" Jessica says happily

"Hi, it's Fred. Some more tests came back. I'd like to discus then with you."

"Oh can't it wait until after the Holiday?" She whines

"It's good news. I'm pretty sure we know the baby's sex."

"Go on!" She smiles

After Jessica got off the phone with her OBGYN, she was all smiles. But she wanted to wait to tell anyone the gender.

Knowing this news made their little trip so much better.

Everyone was having a blast... Sam and Jessica never had a get away trip with Logan, alone. He deserved this. Especially since he'd be finding out that there is something coming that won't make him the baby any longer.

"So, Logan, would you be willing to come back again? Maybe with Sean and Olivia in December?" Jessica asks with a smile

Logan's face lights up. "Yes! Yes!"

"He did great out there."

"I've had so much fun with you and daddy!" He smiles

"Well we had the best time with you. You're our favorite little boy! We love you soo much." Jessica says as she tears up

"Are you crying?" He giggles

"Mommy just loves you so much." Sam says

Three days later-

It was Thanksgiving. Sean and Olivia got home late the night before but were up early. Especially Sean who hasn't seen his mother in weeks. Jessica was just glad that he stuck with school, especially after everything that was going on with Olivia.

"Mom, Hey!" He says coming up behind her and giving her a hug.

"Oh! My baby boy is back!" She tears up

"Mom? Are you crying?" Sean asks

"Again?" Logan says

"I'm sorry! I just missed you! You all need to stop judging me." Jessica giggles

"I missed you guys too. I'm happy that I'm back." He says

"I heard you have a girlfriend! I need to see her! Abigail?"

"Abigail? No, it's Brooke. I told Heather a fake name. Knowing that she would tell." Sean chuckles

"And you didn't tell your mother! Oh my!" Sam says in a joking way

"Hey Sam!" Sean says

"Good to see you, bud. How's school?" Sam asks

"Great since he's getting it everyday." Olivia says

"Olivia! Your little brother is in here. Jessica says sternly, trying not to laugh

"You go." Sam says patting him on the shoulder

"Sam!" Jessica says hitting him

"We've been together for a year. I wanted to wait because I never had a good time, and college relationships are tricky." Sean says to Jessica

"It's okay... I understand." She says

"What does gettin it mean?" Logan asks

"Getting good grades! You always need good grades!" Jessica says walking over to Logan and giving him a hug.

"So we are going to grandmas tonight?" Olivia asks

"Well your mom and I are making the pies and stuff. Before we go over we just want some family time." Sam says

"Sounds great!"

"Sean, why don't you invite Brooke over?"

"She's all the way in New York. Don't worry you'll meet her."

It was a bit later in the day. Everyone helped out with the food that they were bringing over to Dorthy's. Afterwards Jessica and Sam prepared to tell the kids. They didn't know how they'd react, which was the scariest part. But they couldn't wait anymore. They were the last to know, which seemed bad, but they had to wait until twelve weeks, even though it's a high risk pregnancy.

"Ready?" Sam says as they finish talking.

"Yes. Let's call them down." She says

Jessica takes a deep breath. "Kids, can you all come
into the living room?" She says

All of the kids come running down. Sean and Olivia look at them like something was wrong. They were both standing in front of the tv.

"What's up?" Sean asks

"We have some news for you guys."

"Really? What!" Logan exclaims

"Is everything okay?" Olivia asks

"Everything is fine." Sam assures her.

"So, these last few weeks have been really hard for me. I wasn't feeling like myself. After what our family was going through I thought I was just having a breakdown. I felt sick..."

"Oh my god. Mom are you sick?" Sean says

"No, no. I'm not sick."

"This isn't bad news." Sam says

"Spit it out!!" Logan says

Everyone laughs "Relax Logan." Jessica giggles

Jessica looks at Sam and gives him the honors.

They take each other's hands and smile. "Your mom is pregnant."

The room went silent. Of course Jessica focused on the older kids... especially Olivia.

Suddenly, Olivia starts to cry.

"Liv? Are you okay?"

She cries even harder and nods her head. "Finally!" She says running up to Sam and Jessica.

"Yay!" Logan says running to his parents and sister.

Jessica cries even harder. "Oh Livy I'm so happy." She cries

"I hope it's a girl! We need another girl!" She cries

"Thank you, Liv. For being so happy."

"I love you guys!"

Then, Jessica looks to Sean. "Sean?"

"What? Sorry.... I needed to process this. But I'm really happy." He says staying on the couch.

"And I have a surprise that no one knows." She says

"What?" Sam whispers

"It's a girl!"

"Wait? What! Jessica we don't know yet!" Sam says

"I had lots of tests, and they detected it early!"

"Hell yeah! Thank the lords!" Olivia says

"A baby sissy!" Logan smiles

"Cool." Sean says

Sam kisses Jessica and smiles.... but then they had to get serious.

"What else?" Sean says in an irritated tone

They both sigh then sit down across from the kids.

"Well, this pregnancy wont be like others. It will be closely monitored." Jessica says quietly

"Why?" Olivia asks

"Because you fucked her up when you were born." Sean says

"Sean! She did nothing wrong!" Jessica snaps

"What do you mean?" Oliva gets worried

"When you were born I had some complications with my uterus. But it wasn't your fault!" Jessica stresses

"Oh, okay."

"Anyways, this baby won't be like other babies." Sam says with sadness

"Huh?" Logan asks

"Do you know that little boy in your class, Hunter? He always has someone with him? He's very sweet." There was a boy with Down syndrome in Logan's class.

"Hunter is special needs." Logan says

"Yes.... he is." Sam says

"Wait... Mom." Olivia says

Jessica tears up a bit and nods.

"Little sissy is special needs?" Logan asks

"Yes... but that makes her extra special. She'll need more attention and it won't be easy." Sam says

"Mrs. Weber always tells us that hunter is just like us! But he needs more time to learn and understand." Logan says

"This child has Down's syndrome?" Sean asks

"Yes. But with all of your support this baby can do anything." Jessica says

"Well, Down syndrome or not she's apart of this family." Olivia says

Jessica was so surprised that Olivia would have a good response. It was Sean that Jessica and Sam were worried about.

"Sean? What are you thinking?"

"That my mother who is over the age of Thirty with two grown kids is having a baby."

"Sean... come on." Sam says

"No. It's great. Congrats." He says

"Are you sure?" Jessica asks

"Yeah."

"You're being an ass." Olivia says

"I'm not. She asked what I was thinking."

"The girls are going to take over, Sean!" Logan giggles

"Only you, I won't be living here for long bud."

Jessica was so frustrated but tried to keep her cool. She had to prepare herself for reactions she may not like.

"Can we go to grandmas now?" He asks

"Yeah. We should go." Sam says

The kids got a head start to Dorthy and Albert's house and went inside.

Jessica and Sam sat in the car for a couple of minutes... she didn't know how to feel about Sean. He was throwing out so many emotions that took Jessica by surprise.

"He's so angry, Sam. What am I going to do?"

"Nothing." He sighs

"I didn't expect that."

"Me neither. Let's just go inside and enjoy dinner. If it comes up again we can talk to him more."

They were done with dinner and going onto desert. Everyone at the table knew about the baby. Jessica's sisters and brother and their spouses didn't know about the Down's syndrome or the gender. Jessica just planned on saying the gender. Dorthy told Jessica she'd break the other part of the news to everyone else another day.

The night was filled with lots of great energy and smiles. It made Jessica feel so loved and supported. But the entire time Sean pouted. It drove Sam crazy, but Jessica didn't notice. Just him and Olivia.

....

"So we have a little announcement about the baby... we had lots of tests done and the doctors were able to give us a gender!" Sam smiles... it was his turn to surprise everyone

"Ohhh! Really!" George says

"The gender? Yess! We need more girls." Dorthy says

Sean turns to Olivia and whispers "this is gonna be good." Sean says

"Shut up." He whispers back harshly

"Kids? You wanna do the honor?"

Olivia and Logan nod. Sean wanted nothing to do with the announcement.

"Ready?" Olivia says to Logan

"ITS A BABY SISTER!!" He yells

Everyone in the room got so excited and gave Jessica so many hugs. It was a great three minutes until Sean had to open his mouth.

"I have an announcement, something they are leaving out." The room became very quiet. Jessica and Sam looked at Sean with nervousness

"Sean, not now." Sam whispers

"Cut it out!" Jessica yells

"What?" Everyone asks

Sean stands up and pushes his chair back

"The baby has Down's syndrome. And my selfish step dad and mom are going through with the pregnancy. When they have almost two adult children. By time this kid is three she'll be an aunt. It's sick!" Sean says

Jessica was stunned. She had never seen Sean so angry. Nor would he ever speak to Jessica or anyone like that.

"Sean, stop being an asshole!" His uncle George says

Jessica's sisters, nieces, nephews, and their spouses gasped. Not only with the news, but Sean.

Jessica just stares at Sean with so much anger. Everyone knew that she was about to blow.

"You know what, Sean. You've really disappointed me. Look at what you just did! All out of anger. What is it Sean? You don't want a sibling with Down's syndrome? Does that bother you? Does my age bother you? Huh? What the hell is bothering you! It's all out of your hands and we are all happy. Special needs or not! NOW WHAT IS YOUR FUCKING PROBLEM!" She yells as tears rush out of her eyes.

Everyone tries to leave the room, but Jessica was being too loud to avoid any of this.

" my problem is that you're forty and you know you have high risk pregnancies that can kill you and this child! You selfishly keep the child because why? Sam wanted a baby? You screwed around like High Schoolers? Fuck all of this! Yeah. I hate this! It's fucked up! That kid won't have a normal life because of you! It's all your fault that she won't have a normal life. Don't you feel guilty?" He shouts

"Now that's enough!" Sam yells

"What the hell is wrong with you? How could you do this!" Olivia yells

"Oh, or is this whole pregnancy to make up for the one Olivia couldn't have? You're just like Olivia and Cody!"

"Wait? What?" Dorthy says

"How could you?" Olivia says

This was news that no one knew about. Just Sam Jessica and the kids. It was suppose to never be told.

"Sean. I hate this. I hate what you're doing! Why are so angry?" Jessica cries

"You need to stop this." Sam says

"Sean, come take a walk with me." Albert says taking his hand. Sean forcefully pulls it away.

"No! You're bringing a sick child into this world. You're going to coddle that kid and she will have no shot! You're stupid! You're so fucking stupid!" He screams at Jessica

"Sean, you're out of line! You better cut this shit now! You did it! You ruined dinner. Congrats! Are you happy yet? You have everyone in tears including Olivia!"

"Shut up. You aren't my dad."

"That's it! Get out! Walk home, get everything out of my house, and leave! Go to your fathers, go somewhere, I don't care! Until you get your act straight you are not aloud back here! I swear to god, Sean! You ruined tonight. You embarrassed your sister. Made me scare Logan.... disrespected everyone here, and said things that weren't your business to tell! I WANT YOU OUT!" She yells

Sean looks around. No one was fighting this or backing him up.
Everyone honestly agreed with Jessica. Jessica didn't deserve any of this. No one did.

He then looked to Olivia that was crying. "I'm so-"

"Don't talk to me ever again." She says harshly

"You're so mean!" Logan says

"Sean, leave my house. Right now." Albert says handing him his jacket.

"Fine. I'm leaving. And I'll never come around anymore."
