Immediately after the appointment Jessica could only think of one place to go, her mothers. Jessica insisted that her and Sam go and talk with her. He agreed. Dorothy was always good with words.

After telling her and Albert everything, they felt a bit more relaxed, being able to share and show their feelings.

"You two need to know that this baby is just like any other baby." Dorthy says

"We do, mom. I love this baby so much. I just have so much guilt... it's my body. I messed up somewhere." Jessica says... all of her tears were gone. She knew that tears couldn't fix or change a thing.

"I think we are more scared than ever. Taking care of a baby with Down's Syndrome will be hard." Sam says

"Just like raising any other child, Sam. It's hard. I know you two will do amazing. You'll love this baby no matter what."

"Jessica, this isn't your fault either. There is no one to blame..." Albert insist

"Dorthy, Albert, I've waited for this day. To have a baby with Jessica. I love her. I love our family. I love this baby. But I'm sad.... I shouldn't be sad." Sam expresses

"You're right, there is no reason to be sad." Dorthy says

"This baby will thrive in life. He or she will have a normal childhood just like everyone else. It's upsetting and scary. Of course there will be some troubles that will have you down. But it's all about how you raise this child. How you remind he or she that they can do whatever they put their minds to. Have faith in yourself. Have faith in this baby." Albert says.

When he sees his daughter tear up, he rushes to her. She stands up and hugs her father and much as possible. "Thank you, dad."

"You're so strong, Jessie."

Sam stands up and takes over.

He holds Jessica's hands tightly and and looks at her.

"Jessica, let's not be sad. Let's be happy. We have a baby coming. A beautiful little baby. We got this. From here on out we need to smile more and celebrate this baby. Let's not hold onto sadness. It could be worse. This isn't bad. This all just means that we are going to raise a tough ass baby who will grow to become so strong, happy, and a complete bad ass, because we are the best parents ever." Sam says with tears in his eyes.

"Okay... wow." Jessica says

Sam smiles when he sees Jessica smile.

She puts her hands on her stomach and looks down. "I love you, little bunny."

Sam kneels down and gives her tummy a big kiss. "And I love you too."

Sam and Jessica look up at each other and smile more. "I love you." Jessica says

He holds her tightly. Dorthy and Albert come in and give them a big hug.

No one said it would be easy. But Jessica and Sam has to clear their senses and remind themselves that they can do anything. They didn't love the baby any less. They didn't think of this baby any differently then before. They were ready. They were excited. This was it.
