The day of the baby shower-

It was the day of Jessica's surprise shower. Her sisters had been planning for weeks and the day was finally here. Everyone was excited because they all knew that Jessica really needed this. It was Olivia's job to distract Jessica for the day and Sam would be with Logan.

"Hey mom, are you ready yet? We have to go!" Olivia yells from the kitchen

"Liv, you should know by now that your mother does not move fast." Sam whispers

"I heard that, and it's truly disrespectful!" Jessica hisses

Jessica was a little on edge this morning. She woke up worry about Sean and had aches and pains all over. It wasn't a good mix. But she was excited to spend one on one time with Olivia. That rarely happens for her.

"You look great mom! I love the fancy dress and everything." Olivia smiles

"I'm just so glad you're going to the winter ball at school. I remember when I was your age I went every year!"  Jessica smiles

"Can I go?" Logan asks

Sam clears his throat and picks up Logan. "Actually, son, we are going to the tractor store today!" Sam bluffs

"That sounds so much better than dress shopping." Jess says to Logan

"Well, we need to get a move on. First we can have lunch, because I'm hungry and you're definitely hungry, then we can go to the dress store." Olivia says anxiously

"Liv why are you so jumpy?"

"I'm not mom, we just have to get a move on!"

At lunch:

"Honey, I want to talk to you about something." Jessica says softly as they wait for their food.

"Yeah, sure mom. What is it?" She asks

"A lot has been going on since Christmas. I know we all have our own battles and I know that stuff like this can be very hard on you. You and your brother are so close. We all are. I just don't know what happened." Jessica tears up

"Mom, I know it's hard to think about, but today is suppose to be a relaxing day. I don't know what happened mom, but I don't think I can ever look at Sean the same ever again." She sighs

"But I don't want that for you two, really, I don't." Jessica sniffles and takes Olivia's hand.

"My kids mean the world to me. I love Sean with all my heart. All I want to do is give him the biggest hug. But at the same time, his actions are not welcome in our home."

"I understand mom. Sean and I have put you through the ringer after and before the divorce. I'm sorry..."

"I love you, sweetie. Really, I love you so much."

The farm:

Logan and Sam were playing their new tractor when Sam saw Albert driving up the drive way.

"Hey Logan, go inside real quick and clean up. We have to get ready for mommy's surprise."

"Okay daddy!" Logan runs into the house and Albert parks the car.

"Hey, Al! Are you our escort to the shower?" Sam chuckles "I just sent the little guy inside to get ready."

"No, but Sam, there is something I need to get off my chest." Albert says

He was feeling a lot of emotions after sending Sean away. He didn't know how Jessica would react. So he went to Sam.

The two men sit outside on the porch with a beer and talk.

"I'm very disappointed in Sean." Albert says

"We all are. Jessica is taking it extremely hard. I'm hoping this shower will brighten her spirits. Get her excited for the baby. He made her feel so guilty." Sam says as he shakes his head.

"Sam, the day after Christmas I sent Sean to Georgia. I bailed him out and I sent him with a buddy of mine for the Army. Got his registered and he's going to be starting boot camp. I've been in touch with my friend and he's been straightening him out. He decided that he was ready to go. So that's where Sean is. Nobody knows, but I need to tell Jessica." Albert gets everything off his chest and waits for a reaction

"You... you sent your daughters son to the army? Albert, Jessica.... she'll go... I don't even what to think about... you have to get him back." Sam says

Albert sighs "I talked to Sean. He has a lot of demons to fight. He agreed that this would be best. It was his final decision. I gave him the push."

"Jessica can't know. Not now, Albert. That baby, we could lose that baby. She can't be under any more stress or have any crazy surprises like this. Damn, I wish you didn't tell me. How am I going to keep this from her?" Sam panics. The last thing he wants is to know a secret.

"Sam, think about Sean."

Sam sighs and wipes his face. "I love that kid, Al. I really do. I remember the first day I met him too. I want him to get straightened out. I guess the more I think about it, the more I think that it is a good idea." Sam says

"Who else knows?"

"Nobody, except Dorthy. She found out."

"I want to talk to this guy you sent him to stay with, before he went to camp." Sam insists

"I can make that happen."

Sam smiles and shakes Alberts hand. "Just not today, alright? This is suppose to be a good day."

Jessica and Olivia:

After spending hours at the store and stalling Olivia and Jessica left. Jessica was aggravated because Olivia kept going back and fourth with dresses. Little did she know this was just time to stall.

"Olivia Lynn, never will I ever go shopping again with you for dresses! That was ridiculous! There were so many cute dresses, but then you just decided not to go to the dance! I'm swollen, I'm tired!" Jessica moans as she gets back in the car.

Olivia couldn't help but laugh. "I'm sorry! I just wanted to spend time with you!"

Jessica rolls her eyes as Olivia starts driving.

"Olivia you made a wrong turn!" Jessica says

"No I didn't."

"Yes, our house is that way! But you're going this way!"

Olivia just bursts into tears and laughs. Jessica was so confused, but then again slowly catching on.

"What's happening? Why are we going this way? What's going on?"

"Mom, relax!"

"Is this some kind of surprise? If I have a surprise I'll have a heart attack. You need to tell me why we are heading towards the lake!" Jessica shouts

"Mom...."

"Olivia. Is there a surprise for me?"

Jessica kept bugging Olivia until she finally cracked.

"Fine, you got me. I'm only telling you this because you're becoming really annoying! Aunt Ann and Jane and Sam and I are throwing you a baby shower today."

"I knew it!" Jessica giggles

"Mom... you ruined the surprise."

"I'm sorry sweetie. I'm just so excited now. It has been eighteen years since I've had a baby shower."

"She's coming, she's coming!" Ann yells

Jessica and Olivia walk in and everyone yells surprise.

"Oh my goodness! It looks beautiful in here!" Jessica smiles as her sisters give her a big hug

"Surprise my honey." Sam says giving Jessica a passionate kiss.

Jessica looks around and her eyes were glowing. She felt so loved. It was a beautiful day. She looks and Sam and gives him the biggest hug.

"Wow... everything is so beautiful!" Jessica cries
