Normal

Monday-

Olivia and Sean went back to school. Jessica still wasn't able to get herself together to go back to work, but she knew she that she would have to eventually. Jessica would try to not think about it, or brighten her spirits. At this moment in time it all felt impossible. The kids took it one day at a time as well. They didn't show their tears. They kept it all in.

While the kids were at school, Jessica tried to clean up the messes she made. It was the first time since Danny left that Jessica went into their room. It was a mess. Glass from picture frames were scattered everywhere. Everything was a mess. The mattress was off the bed frame, the sheets were gone from when she burned them, her closet was empty, and the bathroom closet was empty as well. Jessica got rid of everything that had relation to Danny or was Danny's. It was all so real to Jessica seeing everything gone.

She began to clean until she was interrupted by someone at the door. Before Jessica went downstairs she went to go check and see who was at the door looking out her bedroom window. Weights were lifted off of Jessica's shoulders when she saw Sarah's car parked in the driveway.

Jessica rushed down the stairs and opened the door. Sarah held a bottle of wine in her hand. Sarah's face grew sad when she saw Jessica's condition. She saw the heaviness in her eyelids from the lack of sleep Jessica had gotten. Jessica's face was red and her body was still shaky. The color of her face was gone. It was pale. Sarah didn't say anything. She just walked up to Jessica and held her.

"I'm here for you." Sarah whispers

Jessica nods her head as the tears quickly flow out of her eyes. Jessica couldn't stop the tears. They constantly ran down her face.

"I brought wine, wine saves."

"You didn't have to." Jessica shakes her head

"I did, because I know you would do the same thing for me."

**

"I just feel so lost. I know I can live without him, but when I was younger I didn't think I ever could." Jessica takes large sips of her wine as her and Sarah sit on the patio. Jessica ranted to Sarah and let it all out. The anger and frustration had built up inside, Sarah helped Jessica let it all out.

"It's a shock, and Danny was wrong to do this to you and the kids. But, you're strong Jessica. You will get through this. I just want to make sure you won't let this ruin you. You are worth it. It may not seem like it, but you are. You are an intelligent, funny, loving, and caring women. You are a fantastic mother. You deserve the world."

"How was I not enough for him? I keep asking myself what I did wrong or how I made him want to leave me for another women."

"You were enough. It wasn't you darling, it was Danny. And before you know it Danny will regret this. He'll realize the amount of things you did for him and how lucky he was to have you. He did this to himself, and he will come around and hate himself forever."

"He won't come back. I bet this girl has the best boobs unlike me who has saggy boobs. And if he did come back I wouldn't take him back. I have too much self respect to do that."

"I know, I wasn't saying that you should take him back. And Jessica, you have the most enviable boobs. I bet that lady is a fake."

"Heh, thanks. She probably didn't have two kids like me. It is going to be hard on me and the kids. I know we can get through it. I just wish that this never happened and we were still the family that we were two years ago. I miss those days, the good days." Jessica lets out a sigh and finishes off her glass. She looks at the bottle with anger and pours herself her third glass.

**
Sarah stayed for the day and helped Jessica clean up. She tried her best to brighten up her spirits and take her mind off things. When the kids got home they were so excited to see Sarah. Jessica ordered some pizza for everyone. They all sat together just talking and laughing.

"So how's work Sean, you must love your job?" Sarah looks at Sean who was still in his work clothes. He worked as a buss boy at a local restaurant.

"I hate it. Today some little kid dropped his pasta everywhere. And guess who was so blessed to clean it up?" Sean huffs as he takes another bite of his pizza.

Jessica, Sarah, and Olivia let out a little chuckle.

"I want a job so bad..." Olivia groans

"Really? Why?" Jessica asks Olivia, curiously.

"So I can have money of my own and on holidays and birthdays I can buy people gifts with my own money instead of mom paying for it. I feel like the gift means more. And I want to learn the responsibility of money and a job."

"You did good Jessica." Sarah nods giving Olivia a smile.

"What can we say, we have an awesome mom." Olivia says proudly

"She raised us well." Sean straightens his shoulders and smiles at Jessica.

**

"Thank you for stopping by Sarah. I really needed this." Jessica hugs Sarah at the doorway.

"Don't thank me. This is my duty as a best friend, to always be there for you."

"That wine is starting to get to me." Jessica holds her head and giggles

"well, go take a bath and relax. You deserve it. I'll stop by later this week, okay?"

"Alright, bye!"

**

"Kids, I'm going to go take a bath then get some sleep. Is that okay?' Jessica walks into the office as she sees her kids catching up on homework.

"Yea, go relax." Sean says

Jessica walks over to the kids and gives them a hug.

"I love you both to the moon and back."

"We love you too." Olivia turns to Jessica.

"I promise I'll brighten my spirits, before you know it things will be back to normal." Jessica smiles at the both of them.

"I forget normal." Olivia says under her breath.

"I know... I do too sometimes. But we just have to think positive. We can make a new normal." Jessica sighs

"A new normal sounds good." Sean says

"I guess so. I just wish this never happened either."

"Olivia, I wish there was something I could do." Jessica says desperately

"But sadly we have no control." Olivia turns around and starts writing again. Jessica stands up and sighs. The room grows awkward and quite.

"Well, I'm going to go take bath, if you need anything let me know."

**

Jessica filled up her tub and dimmed the lights. Jessica needed time to calm her body from all the stress and anxiety. She lit some candles and put bubbles in the bath. Jessica laid peacefully in the tub. Her eyes slowly started to close. Her eyelids grew heavy as she calmed herself down.

**

"I love this new house. But I can't decide what I love more. The house or this tub and you in it." Danny whispers into Jessica's ear as they rest in their tub.

Jessica's back rested on Danny's chest as they soaked in the warm water. It was their first night in their new home, and Jessica couldn't think about how much better life could get.

"I'm so proud of ourselves for buying this house. It's our dream home." Jessica rest her head back onto Danny's shoulder. Danny rubs her stomach with water and smiles.

"Whoever said teen parents can't be successful, well they were wrong. I only have three words for them. Kiss. My. Ass." Danny chuckles kissing Jessica's neck.

Jessica playfully hits Danny's leg and giggles. "We just proved them wrong... Didn't we?"

"Now, we show them that we can bring our kids up right and be together forever."

Jessica let out a deep breath and rolled her body over with the front of her body against Danny's. She rested her chin on his chest and looked up at his dark, brown, hazel eyes.

"You're so cute." Danny chuckles

"I'm so happy. I want to be happy with you and the kids forever."

"And you will be. I'm never letting you three go."

...

"Mommy!" A loud cry comes from down the hall.

It was their youngest daughter Olivia who was only four. She cried from her room wanting Jessica.

Jessica sits up and lets out a sigh. Danny tries to stop her from getting up.

"She's probably just dreaming." Danny whispers

"No, my poor baby is probably scared. It's her first night in the new house and not at my mom and dads." Jessica pouts stepping out of the tub and wrapping her silk robe around her.

"Do you want me to come?" Danny says sitting up.

"No, I'll be quick. She most likely just needs some milk and a kiss." Jessica smiles

She walks over to the tub and leans down giving Danny a kiss. "You just wait here Mr. Huston."

"I will Mrs. Huston."

**
Jessica woke up suddenly as her head was slowly falling into the water. She started to breath heavily as she woke up from her daydream. Jessica had to snap back into reality and break away from old memories. Jessica held her chest as she slowly began to sob. She brought her knees to her chest and held her body into a little ball. Her body throbbed of pain. The tears came back.

Things happened so soon. It left Jessica with no time to process anything. It felt like just yesterday everything was normal, now Jessica felt like everything was crumbling at her fingertips.

I just want things to be they way they were. When I was happy with you... Why couldn't we just stay happy and keep our promises of never leaving each other. We were suppose to love each other for better and for worst.

You left Olivia, Sean, and I here all alone heartbroken and betrayed. We were suppose to be a strong, normal, happy family. Our kids are hurting because of you Daniel. You broke us. I don't know how to handle any of this because of you....

Jessica thought to herself as she cried.

This was a pain that Jessica had never experienced before. A pain of worthlessness and betrayal. That day dream was the way she wanted it. Danny laying with her, talking to her about life and making her feel so good.

She was so angry with him now. Yes she wanted things to go back to normal, but she can never forgive him, ever,

***

After Jessica calmed down she drained the water and changed into pj's. She went downstairs and turned off all the lights. When she got into the kitchen she opened the fridge and pulled out an older bottle of wine. She held it in her hand and looked down at it. She felt intimidated by this bottle of wine. It was the only thing that really relaxed her and made her forget about all the pain and heartache. She knew it was bad, but it helped her so much.

She pulled out a glass from the cabinet and poured herself a small portion of red wine. When she took a sip she automatically felt calm. She let out a breath of relief and finished off the glass. Once she was done she headed back upstairs. She went into her room and looked at her bed with an angry look. She grabbed a pillow and blanket refusing to sleep in the bad that her and Danny shared. She walked down the hall and into the guest room. She peaked through Sean's door and saw him fast asleep. Then she peaked through Olivia's room and saw her finally being able to sleep in her room again.

Jessica made her way to the guest bedroom and made herself comfortable underneath the heavy white sheets. Once she got tucked in she laid their silently. The only sounds she could hear were crickets, frogs, and the wind. It helped her fall asleep. It was strange f0r Jessica to sleep alone. Usually Danny's company made it easier for Jessica to sleep, she felt safe. Now she didn't, that was one of the main reasons she couldn't sleep anymore. She just felt so alone.
