On the car ride home Jessica was silent for a few minutes. Olivia didn't say a word and she kept to herself. She was just waiting for her mother to blow... sooner or later she did.

"What do I do with you now?" Jessica raises her voice

Olivia didn't comment back.

"You disobeyed every rule in the book and broke the law.. attending a party past curfew, driving and sneaking around with a guy, sneaking out of the house! What the hell was going through your mind!" Jessica says even louder

"I don't know!" Olivia cries

"How many times have I told you that you cannot speak to Nathan! He's a bad influence! You go off and party with him where there is alcohol and drugs. You are fifteen, Olivia... fifteen!" Jessica says with exhaustion

"I made a bad mistake... I was just so angry and mad and he said he'd make me feel better. It's like everyone tries to avoid my feelings and doesn't care.You, Dad, everyone. Nathan doesn't, he tried to make me feel better. He makes me feel better."

Jessica chuckles "you think I avoid your feelings? Well if I don't care I should have just gotten a good nights rest and not spent all fucking night looking for you worried sick. Maybe I should have just let you find your way home. Because I don't care."

"I didn't mean-"

"I don't care what you didn't mean! You said it!"

"I'm sorry!" Olivia cries

"I told you no boyfriends! This is all because of a bad influence and you not listening!"

"We are just friends, Mom! Nathan and I didn't even hold hands. I promise you!"

...

They come to a red light and Jessica slams on the breaks. She hits the steering wheel then cries. "I was so scared that something bad happened to you... that someone may have taken you... Everything bad that I could think of popped into my head. I was convinced that something really bad happened and I may never see you again. You don't understand what happens at parties like that, Olivia. You can get hurt by boys, adults, anyone. I don't push aside your feelings if we are talking about this sam thing. Your feelings mean everything to me. Lately you've just been so upset and this isn't like you, I don't know how to handle any of this! Your attitude, your behavior, everything! I'm just so lost! And I want to help to but you're shutting me out and now rebelling!"

Olivia doesn't respond, she just sits in silence until they get home.

Jessica sits in the car and sighs. "Go up to your room and don't leave until your dad gets here in the morning."

"Dad is coming in the morning?" Olivia says, widening her eyes.

"Yes."

"Wow, he actually cares? Or does he just want the satisfaction of punishing me."

"That's enough, go to your room and don't come out or you'll be digging yourself even deeper then you already are."

Jessica couldn't close her eyes once that night. She just laid in her room and waited until the morning.

At exactly six in the morning Jessica woke up and took a shower, got changed, and went downstairs to make coffee.

She made a few cups for Danny and waited for him to get to the house.

Sean comes running down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"She's home?" He says

Jessica nods then takes a sip of her coffee.

"My friend Brian was at that party last night. He saw Olivia there." Sean takes his phone up to Jessica and shows him Snapchat videos. In the background Olivia was making out with who seemed to be Nathan. He had is hands all over her body and people cheered in the background. She had a red solo cup in her hand.

Jessica grabs the phone then storms up into Olivia's room. Sean doesn't follow her because she knew Jessica was about to get upset.

Jessica kicked open Olivia's door then threw the phone at her bed.

Olivia quickly sits up and she was half asleep. "Owe!" Olivia whines

"What is that!" Jessica yells

"What is what?"

Jessica points to the phone near her head then she watches the video. Olivia stood their in shock.

"How did Sean get these?" She says nervously

"That doesn't matter! How did you decide that it was okay to do this stuff! You lied to me Olivia!"

"Stop yelling! I get it, I'm in trouble! What more can you do to me?"

"What more can I do? Let me think... make you quit cross country, no homecoming, no spring break vacations or any vacations at all! Should I go on?"

Olivia throws her head back and cries.

Then someone knocks on the door and Jessica knew exactly who it was.

"Get downstairs, now. Your dad is here."

The three of them sat around the table. Danny was so angry that he couldn't even speak. He had saw the videos and Jessica told him everything she knew.

"Why did you do this, liv? I don't understand... you're s good kid and a good student." Danny says

Olivia crosses her arms then rolls her eyes.

"Drop the attitude, now." Jessica says sternly

"Now isn't the time to disrespect me or your mother. We were both worried sick!" Danny says

"I get that!"

"Did you take any drugs?"

"What? No!" Olivia says quickly

"Did you drink?"

"No!"

"Did any boys try to-" Danny stops himself then shakes his head.

"Dad!" Olivia shouts

"Olivia!"

"Gosh, it wasn't like a college party!"

"That doesn't matter. You don't understand that parties are bad. You can get roofied, guys can take advantage of you, and you can get in big trouble with the cops. The list is never ending." Jessica says quietly

"You're in big trouble, no matter what. I imagine your mother already took away electronics." Danny says

Jessica nods

"No homecoming, you aren't aloud to leave the house unless it's with me or your dad. No phone for a very long time. No more football games, and no more cross country." Jessica says

"What! Cross country is my way of getting into a good college."

"Do you think that colleges give scholarships to partiers?" Danny says

"I hate this! I hate you! How is it that all of a sudden you act like you care Dad? This is bullshit!"

"You should have thought about all of this before you snuck out." Danny says

"You can never talk to Nathan, either." Jessica adds

"Wow."

"Tomorrow after school your dad is picking you up."

"Why, I don't want to see him!"

"I'm taking you to get tested for everything in the book, drugs, alcohol, everything."

Olivia pounds on the table then cries.

"Go up to your room and don't leave it." Danny says

Olivia starts to cry then looks into
Jessica's eyes. Jessica was trying not to cry either.

"Fine." She says in a shaky tone.

Once she leaves Jessica breaks into tears and covers her face with her hands.

"Jess..." Danny whispers

"This isn't my baby girl... I just don't know what to do or think... she seems so angry. It's like my daughter is gone. She used to be so happy. Never in a million years did I think she'd do this. That's why I thought someone hurt her or took her. And thinking about what happened at that party just makes me even more sick! I'm still shaking from how scared I was..." Jessica sobs into her hands then Danny wraps his arms around Jessica.

"I'm sad too... but she has to learn her lesson. This is the only way."

"What if this is all our fault? After the Divorce she's really changed..."

"If theirs anyone to blame it's me, jess. I'm doing this all wrong."

Jessica wipes her tears then breaks away from Danny when Sean walks in.

"Oh, sorry."

"You're fine, bud." Danny says standing up.

"Mom, your phones been ringing." He says holding it and showing her Sam's caller id.

"I'll get it later, thanks though." She says taking the phone.

That Sunday everything was so quite. Olivia refused to come out of her room for anything. It was awkward and tense in the house. Someone was mad at someone else. Jessica just hoped that within time, things would heal.

It had been since Friday that Jessica last talked to Sam. He didn't know anything about what had happened.

Just as Jessica was getting ready to go to bed Sam called.

"Hello?" She whispers

"Hey, is everything okay?"

Jessica clears her throat then begins to cry.

"Jessie, are you okay?" He says softly

"No, I'm sorry! I can't help it!"

"Jess.."

"I've had the worst weekend..."

Sorry for the lack of updates... I started drivers ed and homecoming is this weekend... I know what I want to do with this story but I don't know how to do it so give me some time. 😂😂 I hope you're all liking this :)
