Tuesday-

"I'll be back in the nick of time. I just have to run out and help some of the rookies with the Christmas trees." Sam ties up his Timberlands and throws on another layer of flannel.

Jessica laid in bed watching him. Her back was up against the head board. A small grin appeared on Jessica's face. Then suddenly Jessica began to laugh.

"What?" Sam says buttoning up his heavy winter jacket.

"Nothing... Nothing!" She laughs even more and covers her face.

Sam runs over to the bed and jumps onto it. It startled Jessica making her jump a bit.

Sam crawled up to Jessica as she tried to contain her giggles. He moves down to the lower part of Jessica's body and rests his head on her thighs. He looks up at her with a sad look and Jessica stops laughing.

"You're just so cute." She says holding her hand out for him to take.

"I think you're making fun of me." He pouts

"What? No! Why would I make fun of my little farmer?" Jessica tries to stay serious then laughs even more.

"Farmer?" He says

"Sorry! I just think it's so cute that I'm dating a little farmer."

Jessica turns to the other side of the bed and sees Sam's John Deer hat. He reaches for it and places it on his head.

"The hat just makes the look." She giggles

Sam sits up then moves up towards Jessica's face and kisses her.

"Will you be okay while I'm gone?"

Jessica nods "I think I'm going to take some of my pain meds and take a nap." She says

"Make sure you don't try to walk around when you take those. They make you loopy!" He says

"See, sometimes I question if I'm dating a farmer or a nurse..." Jessica says

Sam rolls his eyes "I'll be back soon."

"I love you! Have fun cutting down the trees!"

"Oh I will!"

Before Jessica took her medicine she got comfortable on the couch. She turned on the tv and slowly began to fall asleep.

As time went on she was woken up by the constant knocking from the front door. Immediately when Jessica sat up quickly it had hurt her arm tremendously. She took a second to gather herself then she stood up. That was quite the task once everything became fuzzy and blurry. She wasn't in the right state of mind, but she slowly walked to the door and opened it.

Danny stood at the door with one of Olivia's art projects in his hand. Jessica held onto the door for support and blinked her eyes a few time to
Focus.

"Hey, Olivia needed me to spray paint this... I hope you don't mind if I drop it off."

Jessica stared into Danny's eyes and nodded slowly. "Uhh, it's fine." She says, confused.

"Jess, are you okay?" Danny says trying to make eye contact with her.

Right as she went to nod her head her hand slowly began to slip from the door. Danny quickly reacted. He grabbed Jessica as fast as he could and caught her before she feel. Jessica had passed out.

Danny began to panic. He quickly picked her up and carried her to the couch. He carefully laid her down on her back and ran into the kitchen to get a cold towel and water.

When he got back Jessica was tossing and turning.

"Jessica, are you okay?" He says sitting her up.

Jessica takes the glass of water and nods. "My
Medicine." She says in a shaky tone

"I'll be fine." She adds

"Jess, isn't Sam staying with you?" He asks curiously

"He had to go to work real quick. He'll be back soon." Jessica gets dizzy again and slowly lays back down.

Jessica she's slowly start to close as she falls back asleep.

Danny decided that it would be best if he stayed until Sam got home. He was so worried for Jessica.

Once she was in a deep sleep Danny sat in the recliner until Sam arrived.

Just around lunch time Sam walked through the front door. He didn't recognize Danny's car in the driveway so he was anxious to see who it was.

When he saw Danny he wasn't happy.

Danny quickly stood up to explain to Sam why he was at the house.

"Danny?" He says

"I came to drop off Olivia's project and Jessica passed out... she seemed out of it so I didn't want to leave her."

Sam walks over to Jessica and throws a blanket over her.

"Well, thanks."

"She just feel asleep after having some water. Is she okay?"

"He pain medication is really strong. She's been struggling with pain for a while." Sam says

"Is there anything I can do?"

For some reason Sam got frustrated. He never liked Danny, so him being under the same roof as him made him mad. And for some reason he was jealous.

Sam quickly answered Danny. "No, we're okay."

"If you ever have to leave I can stay with her."

"No, I don't think we'll have to do that." He says sternly

Danny bows his head. "Alrighty then, I'm sorry."

"It's fine."

"I should get going." Danny grabs his jacket then leaves."

A while after Danny left, Jessica slowly woke up. Sam sat next to her until she did.

"Hi." She smiles cutely. Jessica starts to sit up and Sam sat their quietly.

"Are you okay?" Jessica says noticing something was up.

"Jessica, I'm worried about you."

"Sam, honey, I'm fine. I was just resting."

"I know, but your pain seems to be getting worse. And your medicine is having a bad effect."

"It's working... all it's doing is knocking me out. That's normal."

"Jessica, when you take it you are out of it and confused. That's dangerous."

"Sam, I was sleeping here the whole time you were gone!"

"No you weren't."

"What?" Jessica says with confusion.

"Danny came and said you passed out."

"Wait. Stop. Danny? Sam are you going crazy?"

"No! Danny was here to drop off a project and he said you were loopy and passed out. This is what I'm saying. You didn't even know he was here. That worries me so much."

"Sam you're taking this out of proportion."

"No I'm not, Jessica!" Sam snaps

Jessica stares into Sam's eyes and sees how angry he is.

"I'm sorry... if you want I'll just throw the pills away and sit here in pain all day, if that's what you want."

"I don't want that."

"Then why are you doing this? What are you trying to say!" Jessica whines

Sam sighs and rubs his face. "Nothing, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that."

"Sam, if you have something to say, say it."

"I think I'm just angry that I left you alone. That he was there for you and I wasn't." Sam says

"Oh Sam...."

"It's stupid."

"Yeah, it is because all you've done is taken care of me. I'm beyond grateful for that. You need to give yourself a break. At my appointment I can ask the doctor for a different type of medication. Just don't feel bad, Okay?"

Sam sits next to Jessica and kisses her. "It's scary for me. Little things like that scare me. There was a time when I thought I was going to lose you."

"You're not going to lose me, Sam. I'm staying here."
