Bar
Sean & Olivia's POV-
That night Sean and Olivia gathered their things from Danny's as he begged and begged for them to stay. They wanted nothing to do with him or their mother. They headed to Dorthy's that night.
It was around dinner time when Sean and Olivia knocked on their door.
Dorthy opened it not expecting to see Sean and Olivia with all of their belongings at her front door.
"Why hello! What are you two doing here?" She asks as she welcomes them into their home.
"Is it okay if we stay with you and grandpa for a while? We just need a place to stay." Sean says with sadness
"Oh goodness, of course.
Why don't you come into the kitchen and we can all talk." Dorthy had an idea of what may be going on. She didn't want to say anything and instead let the kids do the talking.
Albert was out for the night so it was just Dorthy. She made some tea for them and sat down.
"What's going on?" Dorthy asks anxiously
"Mom and Dad." Olivia says irritated
"They are just so childish and annoying."
Sean and Olivia go on explaining everything that had been going on for the last week. Dorthy had already heard Jessica's side of the story. Hearing the kids side of the story gave her a feeling of how they felt.
"Its just so frustrating. We don't know who to believe. I don't get why Mom would go to dad... but I don't get why Dad would go to Mom. Why would Dad feel the need to tell us? What is he trying to get out of it?" Sean says
"It's just the fact that we know and now that we know it's a big ordeal. We were mad at Mom because it was obvious that she had ruined something great that she had with Sam if she was the one that kissed Dad. Dad put us through so much. Hearing that maybe she went to his house and said all that stuff made me angry! Either way, who ever is telling the truth, they let whoever kissed then kiss them!"
Dorthy sighs "I'm going to be honest with you two. I've discussed this with your mother already, today. I was the one that told her to go to your fathers tonight.
Now I'm not just saying this because she's my daughter, but I do believe your mother. Do I get why she let him kiss her, yes. She was caught off guard and confused. Your mother never went over your fathers. Really think about it... after everything he did, why would she? She's in love with Sam, right?"
They both nod
"Exactly. I don't want to say anything bad about your father but have you ever thought that maybe he made up that lie just to spite your mother?"
"Maybe..." they both say
Dorthy nods with agreement
"Then why did Sam leave? That's what makes me believe Dad is right. Why would Sam leave if Dad kissed her?"
Then, Dorthy didn't know how to answer. "I don't know."
"See!" Olivia snaps
"This is a huge mess. But the things you said to your mother, thinking she's crazy? That isn't right. You two are her world and the way you left and lashed out, why would you do that?"
"We don't know... Dad just put so many thoughts into our head. Saying she wasn't well after the shooting. He was trying to make sense of things..."
Dorthy shakes her head with disappointment. She didn't understand how the kids could stab Jessica in the back like this. They were always so close. Anger towards Danny built up quickly. He was taking advantage of the kids and brainwashing them. Dorthy was simply lost for words.
"I'm not going to tell you two who to believe. You just need to remember who's always been the honest one, the most trustworthy, loving, and caring. Who's been by your side through thick and thin?" Dorthy sits up and walks over to the sink to clean their empty glasses.
Sean and Olivia sit there in silence. They felt like fools. They let their anger get to their head and believed whoever told them first. They never stopped and took a hint.
"I understand why you need to stay here for a while. Just to get away from the craziness. So, make yourself at home." She smiles
"Now, no more of this talk. When you're at grandmas you're always happy." Dorthy walks back over and brings them both in for a hug.

Jessica's POV-
After leaving Danny's Jessica didn't know what to do with herself. She felt tired from the fighting and stress. It had gotten to a point where she was angry at the kids for treating her the way they have been. She needed to blow off steam.
Instead of going home Jessica did something out of the ordinary. She headed straight to the bar.
Jessica walked in with swollen eyes. The bartender noticed her immediately and gave her a seat at the bar.
"What can I start you with?"
"Pick my poison." She says
"Alrighty then."
Jessica was surrounded by a bunch of men and some women who sat around the bar getting drink after drink. They all seemed lost just like her.
Jessica felt guilty for getting a drink. She knew it would lead to more than one but she didn't care.
"Here ya go, ma'am. Let me know when you need another."
Jessica nodded then put the glass in her hand. She spun it around then took the shot. Right after she started to gag from the strong taste.
She squinted her eyes and stuck out her tongue.
Once the taste slowly subsided Jessica sighed and ordered another.
As time went on Jessica kept to herself. She ordered a few drinks at a time. They were enough to make her feel less tense and more woozy.
The empty seat next to her soon became occupied. Jessica payed no mind to the person sitting next to her until she sensed a familiar presents.
She slowly turned her head to her right to see Sam sitting in the once empty seat.
Her heart raced. She knew getting up and going would be too obvious. She attempted to slowly turn her head the other way and make sure her hair covered her profile.
Jessica's plan failed when she felt Sam's touch on her arm.
"Jessica?" He asks softly
Jessica slowly turns to him. Her eyes-still puffy.
"Hi." She says
"What are you doing here?"
"Drinking, and you?"
"Here to do the same." He shrugs his shoulders
Sam already felt uncomfortable by Jessica's harsh tone. He could also hear her slur her words. He knew immediately that she was drunk.
"Why don't I take you home?" He says
"No, I'm fine." She snaps
The bar tender looks at Sam. "She yours?" He asks
Sam holds out his hand and the bartender tosses him her keys.
"Let's go, Jessica. You shouldn't be here."
Jessica was too weak to resist. Sam took her arm and guided her to her car.
He drove her home immediately. The bar she was at was a sketchy part of town. Even Sam knew that Jessica out this late at a bar was out of the ordinary. He couldn't help but worry.
When they got back to Jessica's Sam helped her inside. Jessica tumbled inside and went straight to the couch. As she fell back into the couch she grabbed onto Sam's collar so he'd come down with her.
He quickly got off of her and Jessica sighed.
"Oh god!" She cries
Sam sighs
"What am I doing? Look at me! Look at you!"
"Jess..."
"Save it. I've had enough grief these last few days. The least you could do is leave and stop reminding me about what a bad person I am!" She pouts
"Jessica, you aren't a bad person." Sam sits on the coffee table across from Jessica.
"You aren't talking to me, the kids aren't talking to me! My life is just a big giant joke!" She snaps
Jessica burst into tears and throws herself onto Sam as she cries and cries. Sam didn't want to ask questions.
"Can you take me to my room?" She asks softly
Sam nods and helps her up.
When she gets to the top of the stairs she dashes to the bathroom and begins to get sick. Sam follows her and holds her hair back.
This went on throughout the whole night. Jessica was sick. Sam being the man he was, stayed the night to make sure she was okay. He put her in her room with a bucket by the bedside. Sam slept downstairs on the couch.
He felt terrible seeing Jessica the way she was. He couldn't help but blame himself. This wasn't like her what so ever.

The next morning Jessica slept in. She knew Sam was still at her house but she was too afraid to face him, sober. Her head ache made her feel paralyzed. Jessica hoped that Sam would leave. She was too embarrassed.
Sam cleaned up the bathroom then made Jessica coffee before he left. He figured Jessica was avoiding him because he saw her move around when he walked past her room. That didn't stop him from trying to talk to her.
"Jessica, I made you coffee and I have some Advil for you. Also I have your daily pills here as well."
Sam still had Jessica's pill schedule in his head. Jessica was horrible at keeping track of her schedule.
Jessica slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes. She took the pills then held her head.
"I'm so embarrassed." She whispers
Sam sits in the edge of the bed and chuckles.
"What were you doing at a bar like that last night? There are some sketchy people."
Jessica shakes her head "I don't know. I just needed a good drink I suppose."
Sam nods
"I'm not your responsibility. You didn't have to do what you did last night. You should have let me swim on my own."
"I care about you too much. There's no way I would have been able to leave with you shit faced down there."
Jessica chuckles
"Well thank you."
"Jess, is everything okay?"
"Crazy That you ask since you and my kids left me." The tone quickly changed and Jessica became agitated.
"What?" He says
"I don't feel like I should explain anything to you."
"Jessica-"
"You don't trust me, do you?" Jessica snaps
"That's not it."
"That is it. You know it."
Sam sighs "I want to talk about this. I over reacted and I feel terrible."
Jessica took a minute to think. She had been listening to herself and realized what a Bitch she was being. Deep inside Jessica wanted to work things out. She missed him terribly.
"I'm sorry- I'm just having a rough few days. The kids and I aren't talking. I need to fix things with my kids before I fix anything else."
"Is everything okay with them?"
"No, sadly. Sam, I want to fix this mess but I can't right now. My kids come first."
"I understand."
