Test?

"Learning happens in the minds and souls, not in the databases of multiple-choice tests." - Ken Robinson.

Your POV

An academy... Those where your final words ATS? Then so be it. With hands in my pocket and a hoodie over my mask I walked down in plain day. Getting a couple eyes every once in awhile since people where trying to see why I covered all my physical features. I didn't mind the eyes. At least I tried to not mind them. I'm not really a people person, and I haven't been out since he... went away. That's only reason I'm dreading this academy. I know it'll be packed with students. Let's just hope this a fast year. I approached what's supposed to be UA. Other students were coming in as well. I rubbed the back of my head I went in. I stopped as I felt and odd feeling to the left. I peek seeing two kids. One a boy with green hair, eyes, and about my height. The other a girl brown hair, and hazel eyes. They felt different and I haven't even met them.

ATS: But I know no matter what you will find a way to change the world for it is. You and whoever you have your side.

... I'm sick of letting people go. I head inside avoiding the two as I head to where I was supposed to go. It's supposed to be a battle zone for an entrance exam. I head to where I'm supposed to go after changing in the requested uniform while still covering my whole head. I arrived, but it seemed no one was here yet. I guess I was early. I decided to just sit by the doors and wait. I was going to just take a little nap. Until a deep voice spoke to me pulling me away from slumber. I looked up seeing him. All Might.

Flashback 8 years old

ATS: Before we begin your training let me show something.

Me: What on a computer can lead to training?

ATS: This guy.

Don't mind the Midoriya just passing through.

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

It's some guy laughing while carrying a bunch of people. It seems something seriously tragic happened.

Me: Who is he? How can he smile in this situation?

ATS: That's All Might. He's a hero training still, but a good one. Next year he's going to be a pro hero officially and am I. His smile? That's just what he does. A symbol of hope ever since his former master passed away. Never got her name though. I wish I met her.

Me: Do you know All Might?

ATS: In hero work yes. We team up when it comes to it. But otherwise not at all. But the reason I'm showing you this is because as a hero you need something that drives you spiritually. Like he uses his smile to give others hope.

I looked at the screen staring at the face of this hero... Spiritually huh?

Present

All Might: I am here! Why are you here soon to be UA student? The trial doesn't start until an half hour!

Me: ... Just early.

All Might: Oh yes a hero must always be out seeking crime. But don't you have friends that you want to talk to before you enroll!?

Me: ... They're just distractions.

All Might: My my aren't you a cold one? Reminds me-

Me: Do you want something?

He choked not expecting me to interrupt him. I know why he's here. Saw me from the distance and wanted to break my shell. Not happening.

Me: If you don't want me here then fine. I'll just go back to the school and wait. Otherwise I ask you kindly please go away.

All Might: ... If that's what you wish... Then I will serve! See you around! I hope you pass the trial!

He jumped away leaving a crack in the ground. I sigh in relief as he left. I don't like giving cold shoulders I just want to be talked to. I just want to do what ATS wants me to do. Get my stupid permit, do some hero work until someone makes a terrible popsicle of me, throw in the towel, and settle down the beach somewhere. I sigh as I thought of the challenge they're going to give us. ATS said he had his except it was easy for him. He said that there's four different robots. Each labeled with a number showing how much they're worth. There's 1-3 and one worth nothing. I think it's thirty points to pass and everybody is entering the same side. This gives me an idea to go exactly where I need to be. Since I had a couple minutes I set my alarm for twenty to take a snooze. I then had it again. The nightmare that I have every night. The day he died. It repeated over, and over, and over, and OVER, ̸̢̨͇̖͓̭̠̬̖̥̤̽͜͜͜A̸̤̱̓̾̂̓̂̓̎͐͂̈́̈͌̒̓́Ñ̷̢̡̮̯̩͚̥͖̖̮̹̦̳́̽̑̈́̀̓͠D̸͈̻͔̜̹͙̼͔͔̒͊͝ͅ ̶̢̨̢̬̤̻̠͔͎͙̳̤̏̏̐͜͜͝Ó̴̱͑̿́̍̃̃̐̉͛͗̄͝ͅV̵̡̦̭͇̯̺̹̀̇͊͛͆͋̈́̓̓͒͗͠È̵̦͎̘̩̲̘̙̪̻̠̭̔̈́̈̎̆R̷̻͎͉̠͓̹͚̣̾̒̊̎̋̅̽́͑̍͝ͅ. Even the part where I put what was left of him in that stupid incense jar he gave me when I was eleven. I woke up hearing my timer as I see students approaching in the distance. I stood up as I tried to cool down as my blood boiled beyond inferno. I blended in with the crowd. I then heard the announcer who sounded like a familiar hero as well. He told us to set up as we all neared the door. I stood in the back as to keep away from being trampled. I then felt a tap on my shoulder as I turned my head slightly seeing that green kid from earlier.

Me: What?

?: I didn't mean to bother you. But I didn't seem you during the introduction. What's your name?

Me: Don't have one.

?: Wa I- (clears throat) Well I'm Izuku Midoriya.

Me: Cool...

He looked down a bit as I groaned to myself. I really am an asshole. I sighed as I took one of my hands out if my pockets pointing it towards him making him look up.

Me: Sorry. The last couple of days have been... Rough.

Izuku: It's fine. To be honest I guess everyone is feeling a bit different with this test and all.

Me: Yeah... We better get ready. It's about to start.

The announcer counted down as Izuku stuttered.

Izuku: W-wait! What's your name!?

Me: ... Like I said-

The doors flung open as my feet left the ground.

Me: Don't have one.

I jumped over everyone literally as I entered the arena. Using my large jumps as an advantage I made sure I got to the other side while no one was there. I expected it to be easy since there's not a lot in the way to stop me from using parkour with interruption. Landing in I looked to my sides seeing robots on each. A one pointer, four two pointers, and two threes. I closed my eyes as I activated my quirk.

Me: Q-Drive: Override.

Override. It isn't my quirk, but it's ATS'. It lets the user take over any piece of electricity as long as they conduct through solid material. My quirk is called Q-Drive. It lets me choose a quirk that exist and I know about in battle. It comes with a price though. I wiped my mouth predicting what would be there. Blood. Every time I use my quirk it cost a bit of blood. It hurts, but I get over it. It's not the only backlash though. I can only choose two quirks a day. Until the next day passes over it's permanent. But bottom line is the more quirks I know the stronger I am. Now explanations aside its time to get this over with. Green lines from fingers to floor went to each of the robots as they all froze.

Me: Detonate.

They all explode as I go and touch each of them to claim my points. I should be at fifteen so I'm halfway there. I wandered the streets as I met another three pointer. Putting my hand on the ground I take control and instead blowing it up I hop on.

Me: Destroy surrounding targets.

I sit down on it as it goes around destroying its old comrades. Making things a bit more efficient and easier. When I counted the points to twenty eight I made my ride throw me up top to buildings as it detonated itself after. That means my final tally is at thirty one. I settled for that. I don't want people giving me special treatment. I decided to watch the others. They had interesting quirks as well. One had jets on his legs. Sort of like the hero Ingenium. Then there was this destructive one who blasted anything that moved. His hands might as well be grenades. Then I saw him again. Midoriya. What is he standing there for? If he doesn't do something he'll fail before even entering. I groaned as I sat near the ledge of the building. When I took my seat I nearly fell off because a certain rumble in the ground. A metallic hands fingers reached for where I was as I moved out the way. I then went to the side of the building sliding down the ladder with one hand as I stared at what nearly killed me. A twenty story tall robot. I new it was big, but I've never thought that they would put this in here. I stayed in cover as the students ran away. I stayed to see if anyone got left behind and I see Midoriya. He was just getting up to run away, until he stopped like he heard something. He turns his head as we both spy that girl with brown hair. She was trapped under a bit of debris and couldn't move. Crap I have to do something. I put my hands on the wall as the green lines travelled to the bot. But they won't be fast enough. What can I do? I don't know any other quirks... I kept thinking and thinking... Until I felt something. A shockwave as I looked seeing Midoriya gone from the ground and floating in the air. How did he-

Midoriya: SMASH!

He got close to the head hitting it square as the whole thing crumbled as it fell backward. How did he land such a punch? I stood out and stared as he fell to ground. Why isn't he doing anything. He'll die from that height! I shake my head as I ran pulled the girl out the debris. She limped a bit since her was turned the wrong way. But I ignored it for now.

Me: Listen to me. He's going to die from that height. What can your quirk do?

She looked up in shock and she immediately tapped my shoulder and herself as we floated off the ground.

?: Throw me towards him!

Not wasting a second I grabbed her and spun a circle and threw her at Midoriya. I then fell back to the ground as she slapped him on the face making him float as well. They both came down slowly as Midoriya groaned in pain and the girl threw up... Rainbows.

Me: You two alright?

Izuku: Yeah... Thanks for the- Crap I didn't get any points!

The second he moved an inch the alarm rang. The test over and he fell to his knees. I go over to him and put his arm over my shoulder. I then carry him out as the girl helped me as we led him to the infirmary. I felt bad. Maybe if I told him my plan he would've got points. No... If you did the girl would be dead.

Me: ... Izuku.

He looked up at me as I looked straight.
