Chapter 1 – The Way He Looks at Me

Dohoon noticed it first.

Not the fans.
Not the members.

Him.

Hanjin had this habit of staring when he thought no one was watching. During practice. During interviews. Even at the dorm when everyone was distracted.

At first, Dohoon ignored it.

Then he started looking back.

And that's when it became dangerous.

Because the looks lasted longer.

Because the smiles softened.

Because it started meaning something.

It was past midnight again.

Hanjin was still rehearsing a vocal line that already sounded perfect.

"You're overdoing it," Dohoon said quietly.

Hanjin didn't turn around. "I just want it to be good."

"It is good."

There was something vulnerable in the air.

When Hanjin finally turned, their faces were closer than expected.

Neither moved.

The silence stretched.

Dohoon felt his heart betray him first.
