After Nya and Kai hugged...she took a moment to notice Kai's appearance. He still had his spiky brown hair, but she noticed that he had a cut on his eyebrow and that he had multiple bruises on his body. 

"Kai...Why do you have all these bruises?" Nya asked. Kai looked down when she asked that and stayed silent until he came up with an answer.

"He caused it." Kai said.

"By he..you mean your husband?" Nya asked.

"Yes. But...I could never love him. Not after seeing how much cruelty that he does to those who don't obey his every command." Kai said.

"Kai..." Nya said before he interrupted her.

"Do you know what the two worst things that he's ever done to me?" Kai asked.

"No." Nya said.

"First..he tore me away from you and our parents then forced me to marry him." Kai said.

"And the second thing?" Nya asked.

"H..He raped me. Multiple times. Just so he could have a child." Kai said.

"Oh Kai." Nya said before she started to hug him again.

"And knowing that his child or children are growing inside me. Just fuels me with dread...especially since I know that if we were ever brought back...he could treat him like he treats me." Kai said.

"I'm sorry that this had to happen to you Kai." Nya said.

"Don't be. This was never your fault Nya. Besides I could never hate you." Kai said.

"Me neither Kai. Just be glad that you're home...with me and my friends." Nya said.

"Is one of them your boyfriend?" Kai asked.

"What? Sorry to burst your bubble Kai, but they're all like brothers to me." Nya said.

"Good because if one of them were dating...I would tear him limb by limb if he ever broke your heart." Kai said. 

"I see you haven't lost your protective side haven't you?" Nya said.

"Nope. Now tell me about your friends." Kai said. As the two kept talking...they were unaware that the other ninja, Trevor, Nicki and Yin were listening into their conversation.

"Should we go introduce ourselves?" Lloyd asked.

"We can do that later. Just let Nya and Kai continue talking." Cole said.

"It's amazing how quick Kai is to open up to her." Yin said.

"Well she is his sister." Nicki said.

"By the way...Did all that stuff happen to Kai after he got married?" Jay asked.

"Yes. The king was always cruel even to those who gave him absolute loyalty. It got worse if you tried to take down his rule." Trevor said.

"While Kai was the opposite." Cole said before Yin nodded.

"We couldn't just leave him behind after learning what he planned to do with him. Especially since his kids would just become cruel like his father or suggested to abuse every single day of their lives." Nicki said. After that they looked in towards Kai and Nya again just in time to see Kai laugh at whatever Nya said.

"We have to protect him." Cole said which earned nods from everyone in the room unaware that more visitors were on their way..

Only question is..do they work for the side of the resistance or the king?
