Suddenly, my phone dinged. The ringtone nearly scared the crap out of me. Anyways, I looked at my phone. It was a message from my friend, LeFoodDood

Hey Katie. Why aren't you at school today?

I stared at the message for a minute before thinking that he was joking

Lol. Nice try. I replied. There's no school today. It's Saturday!

Umm, no. It's Friday, stupid.

I swiped down the Notification Center on my phone which read Friday, March 27, 2016 before replying,

I grabbed the toast I was making out of the toaster, and took it upstairs to my room eating as I went. I threw on some jeans and a tshirt, and finished the last of my toast. I brushed my teeth really fast, ran back downstair, grabbed my backpack, there was no time for lunch, I could survive, and I bolted out the front door.

Little did I know that I forgot to lock it.
