A/N: In this one-shot, Y/N's gender is fluid from male to female. I'm not including non-binary for this one-shot.

Nico came up behind Y/N and squeezed her in a tight hug. She sighed, letting her head fall back with a pouty face.

"You're beautiful, love," Nico said to her, kissing her neck. His frail, pale hands were cold, but brought her so much comfort. The soft callouses of his fingers were reminders that he'd protect her in any war; the length (much longer than her own, but her joints were wider) reminded her of how well they fit together despite their differences.

"I know," Y/N said, "but I feel dysphoric today. Some days I feel amazing, and others... I just don't."

He kissed up to her ear, then pulled her back to kiss her nose, "I know. Just go with the flow, Y/N. You're worth it."

Y/N nodded, smiling graciously at the reminder. She turned around and cupped his face. He kissed her lips quickly before she could get a peck in.

She laughed, "Hey!"

"What?" he said. "I can't kiss my joy-friend?"

She leaned in and kissed him, slowly this time. "No... you can't kiss her so quickly."

Nico smiled, kissing back with eyes closed, holding her close.

"By the way," he pulled away, "I love you, and you're beautiful to me. Gender Fluid and all."

Her heart really needed to hear that, really preferring her days of being a male since she had a masculine body. But she was valid, no matter who she was. Each day was a new day, and she had a right to that as much as anybody else.

"Thank you," she said.

Instead of a 'your welcome,' he nodded and replied with "I love you." You couldn't ask to be luckier. <3

A/N It's just so beautiful to me that someone can love another person who identities with different genders at different times. Hearts are so vastly filled with endless love 💗 I love it. Accepting one another is so important. And yay Bisexuals!
