You and Newt had been dating for a few months, you were a muggle-born witch who grew up in England, so you attended Hogwarts and met the adorable Magizoologist in your third, and became instant best friends. You were almost the same, awkward, shy, quiet, and you both preferred Creatures company to a humans. 

You had begged Newt to take a day off, and just go for a walk with you in through Central Park, in New York. You decided to go with Newt to America when he traveled there, part of it was for his book, the other part to release Frank, the Thunderbird. Newt had reluctantly agreed, and you both got dressed into nicer clothes, and walked out the door of the apartment you had temporarily rented for the two of you. 

"Where are we off to?" Newt asked as he finished putting on his Hufflepuff scarf, while you were fixing your (YHH) scarf. "Maybe the zoo? Its been ages since I've been to one?" You suggested, "Uh, sure, why not.." he replied and you grabbed his hand and held it in yours. You walked through the crowded streets in the cold of early Spring, and finally you made it to the zoo. You walked in and saw a bunch of animals in their exhibits, you ran up to the (F/A) pen, and smiled, and pointed for Newt to see. He smiled at your childish joy.

You noticed Newt seemed to be in thought, "What's wrong, dear?" You asked, concern lacing your voice, he turned to look at you and sighed, "Don't the animals seem sad? Like they want to see their homes again?" He asked, "I suppose.." You trailed off, "Do you think anyone would notice if I put them all in my case and took them home?" He asked quickly and quietly, as if he were serious. You laughed, but saw he really was serious. "Wait, what? No! Newt you can't put them all in your case and take them back to their homes, that's illegal." You stated. "Plus you've already gotten yourself into enough trouble here." You added, he nodded.

You walked over to the Penguins, and watched them swim for a while, then looked to the lions, "Looks like the Nundu." Newt said, and some Muggles had overheard him and gave him a weird look, you just laughed and agreed with him. After the zoo, Newt noticed your red cheeks and nose, so you stopped at a coffee place, and got hot cocoa. Newt smiled at you and looked at your lips, "You've got a little.." He started and reached out to wipe some whipped cream off your lip. You blushed and tried to hide your face behind your (H/C) locks, Newt simply chuckled. 

"Did you have fun at the zoo?" You asked quickly, "I did, I suppose it is nice to get out of the case once in a while. I still think we should go back and get the animals.." He replied, all you did was laugh a little too loud, and you leaned over to Newt and kissed his cheek. "You're adorable." You said.
