You had just finished getting dressed, and Newt had just finished showering, he stepped into your shared bedroom wearing the same thing he usually does. "Are you absolutely sure that your parents will like me?" He asked for the millionth time, "Yes, Newt. They'll love you!" You reassured him. "W-well what if they think I'm weird? I do have a magical case full of 'dangerous' creatures" He replied, sarcastically using the word dangerous.

"They'll understand, you are a wizard, and so am I. They may be muggles, but they're open minded." You said as you straightened his bow-tie, he let out a sigh, and you locked eyes with him. "It's going to be fine. I promise." he nodded, and you kissed his cheek. He smiled, and you apperated to the front door of your parents home. You knocked, and Newt gripped your hand, his hand was very sweaty. You looked at him and smiled, trying to calm him down.

You could hear his breath, and feel his hand sweating more. You mother answered the door, "Y/N! How are you, dear? We've missed you so much!" She said as she hugged the breath out of you, "And you must be Newt! Lovely to meet you" She said as she shook his hand, "L-lovely to meet you too Mrs. Y/L/N" he replied with a nervous smile, "Come, come in! make yourself at home, lunch is nearly ready, your father is in the living room, dear!" She said as she dissapeared into the kitchen. 

"Hi Dad!" You greeted as you entered the living room, "Great to see you again sweetie! You must be Newt Scamander right?" He asked as he shook your boyfriends hand, "Y-yes sir, pleasure to meet you.." Newt said, You dad eyed him, trying to 'get a feel' of the guy that was dating his daughter. "Lunch is done!" You mother called, and you went to the dining room. Your mother had prepared a beautiful meal of Y/F/F, your mouth was already watering. Newt chuckled at you, and you smacked his arm as you grabbed a plate and started shoveling food onto it. 

"So, Y/N tells us you're writing a book?" You father started, "Y-yes, I'm writing a book about magical creatures and how to take care of them, to help educate my fellow wizards about them. See, a lot of them think that creatures like the one's I keep are dangerous-" "And are they?" Your mother cut him off. Newt looked at his case, "O-of course not! People just don't know enough about them, my creatures, and most others, are not dangerous." He stated quickly. "So you have creatures in your case?" "Y-yes, it's a simple enchantment, there are several separate exhibits for all of my creatures so they can be happy." Newt said.

"What kinds of, er, creatures do you have?" asked your father, "W-well, I have an Erumphant, a Thunderbird, mooncalves, a niffler, bowtruckles, occamy's and a demiguise, a nundu, and quite a lot of others." He replied with a smile, you adored it when he talked about his creatures. "Could we see them?" your parents asked, "Um, w-well I'm not so sure that's a good idea-" "Why not? You said they weren't dangerous." "They aren't! They're just used to Newt and me." you chipped in.

After lunch, your parents pulled you aside for a moment, "What do you think of him?" You asked, "He's a nice guy, a little weird, but you seem happy with him." You father said, "I think you're perfect together!" You mother added, "Good, and I am happy, I love living with Newt, and traveling and caring for the creatures, I'm glad you like him too, though" You replied and hugged them goodbye. "See you guys around. And Newt-" he turned around, "Take good care of her.." your father said menacingly. "Y-yes sir, of course!" He replied with a slight smile, and you both apperated home. 

"Did they say they liked me?" Newt asked quickly and nervously, "They loved you Newt! Not as much as I do though.." You trailed off and pulled him into a passionate kiss, "I love you Newt." "I love you too, Y/N"
