Tony's POV

They sent ME to deliver the news to his mother. ME of all people. Why couldn't...nah she's busy.

I took a deep breath and climbed out of the car. My baby sister's house sat in front of me. It was only about three in the afternoon and sunny, but I shivered.

I walked up the path, remembering the time I 'kidnapped' the demigods. Man,if I'd know what I was getting myself into then...

I knocked on the door. "Honey, I think the guests are here!" I heard Sally yell to her husband.

She opened the door and my mind blanked. She was wearing blue jeans and a pretty floral blouse. Her curly brown hair was in a messy bun and she had pearl earrings in her ears. Her eyes sparkled.

That is, until she saw ME. "Oh, it's you," she said in a dull tone. But I wasn't paying attention to her at the moment. My full attention was on the child bouncing on her hip.

"You have aNOTHER ONE?" I screeched. Paul came to the door and took the baby from Sally. He gave me a disapproving glance and gestured for me to come in.

"You'll scare away the guests," he said. I laughed humorlessly. "Yeah, that was definitely my plan when I drove all the way here from Long Island Sound."

They perked up at that. "How's Camp? How's the war?"

"That's- that's why I'm here actually," I said while leading them to the couch. Sally and Paul looked on in worry. "What happened? Is Percy okay? Annabeth?"

I held up a hand. "Uh uh uh, I want to know the baby's name first."

Sally glared at me. "Estelle," she said. I nodded. "Just like Grandma."

"Just like Grandma," Sally agreed, "now get to the point."

I stroked my beard, wondering how the heck I was gonna say this. "Well, you know how Percy always seems to be the one that gets into all the trouble?"

Sally looked at me suspiciously. "Yes?" She drawled.

"Well, as you know, Tartarus led an army to attack Camp Half-Blood."

Sally nodded. "Well, the war lasted four days, and Tartarus didn't show up until the last day. He kinda wanted to kill Percy. Like, really super duper supercalifregalisticexpialidocous much. Like, that much. Like, he crawled out of the pits of hell to kill your son. I mean, I don't know if you should be proud or worried."

Sally pursed her lips, "I'm gonna go with worried."

"And he had this wicked sword. That he kinda sorta maybe a little bit used to make your son a shish-kabob?"

She dropped the glass of water she had just been sipping from and it shattered on the hard wood floor. She then spit the water all over my face. "Yuck!" I said and wiped my face off.

Sally stood and slapped me. Again. Estelle started crying. "Is he alive!" She screamed. I took time to meet her eyes.

I steepled my fingers under my chin and looked at the ground. "Tony!" She screamed. I looked back up at her. Right in the eyes. Her lip quivered in fear.

I waited(for suspense purposes mostly) and waited. "TONY!" "At the moment, yes."

She fell back on the couch and breathed a sigh of relief, her face was red and her eyes watered. "I hate you, you jerk!"

I chuckled. Then I remembered that this was not a funny matter and that I was also extremely worried about my nephew. "How long has the war been over? How long since this happened?" Sally asked once she calmed down a little bit.

"Three days," I mumbled into my hands. "Is he okay? Can we see him?" Sally asked.

I laughed darkly. "Is he okay. Of course he's not okay! Why else would they have sent me to talk to you! And you can't see him, because no one can see him. So far, it's only Annabeth and the doctors. He was run through three days ago and hasn't woken up yet. And to be honest, they don't know if he ever will. Some say it would be better for him, because we have discovered a sort of poison on the blade and if he wasn't in pain already, it's gonna be a hell of a ride back to recovery!" I was ranting now. At sometime in the middle of my speech I got up and started pacing.

Sally and Paul sat silently on the couch, Estelle sniffling, not knowing what was going on in the grown up world, and not really caring all that much either.

"I have to go," I said gruffly. I headed to the door. Sally stood up to stop me. She put a hand on my shoulder and pulled me to face her. I could see the worry and the pain written plainly in her eyes. "Just-just tell me if he's okay. Send me a message when we can see him. I want to see my baby."

I nodded and walked out of the door, bumping into the dinner guests on the way. They gave me looks like I was being rude before the recognition settled on their face. I threw on my sunglasses and kept walking.

"Is that...?" Said one of the women. I turned around and showed her the gloves of the suit. She gasped and nudged her husband who looked on in disbelief. "Tony Stark," he said. "What is Tony Stark doing in Sally Jackson's house?"

I just shook my head and kept walking. My phone dinged and I discovered a text from Ol' Capsicle himself. Oh, he's getting so old! Learning to use the phone, how cute!

'Hurry back. New developments. Ajfivosnd how do you work this thing?!🤣🤬 Donuts'

I laughed. Oh Capsicle, silly goose. I hoped in the car and stared at the wheel. No, it'll take too long. I dialed an old friend. "Hey, Happy? Can you come get the car? I need to make a quick exit. Thanks dude, love you tons." I hung up and got out of the car.

I summoned the suit and in no time I was officially Iron Man. I could see the dinner guests watching me through the window so I opened the visor and flashed a smile. Then I slammed it back down and shot into the sky.

Instead of the drive that took approximately two hours, I made it there in half an hour. Record timing, if you ask me, but I feel like I could make it in ten minutes next time. Remind me to update the thrusters.

I landed on the lawn outside of the Big House. I waved to Chiron who was looking all too grim these days.

Campers and all reinforcements were still here from the battle, except for the Valhallans because they had to get Halfborn back to Valhalla before he died. Everyone else was staying for the huge funeral service and then heading home.

The campers bustled about, getting things ready and setting up decorations. The Athena campers had been in holed up in their cabin the last day or so weaving funeral shrouds and finally decided to proceed in the sun.

I sent the suit away and spotted Jason, Leo, and Piper at a table in the Dining Pavilion. I walked over, and smiling, playfully whacked Jason upside the head.

He stood and faced me. Too late did I realize my mistake. He was not happy.

"Ok dude, you need to knock the Hades off. I'm sick off you being a major league prick! I- I don't know if my best friend's alive or- or not and I'm really not in the mood right now."

I put my hands up and spun away from him. Walking to the infirmary, I yelled over my shoulder, "Warning received. Chill dude!"

I found Steve standing outside of the infirmary with his arms crossed, an annoyed look evident on his face.

"Oh, do we get to go in today?" I asked. "No, shut up," he said and led me into the infirmary. We walked past empty beds and occupied beds, doctors and visitors until we reached an empty bed in which Annabeth was sitting on, waiting for us.

No one is allowed in the curtained off area except the doctors and Annabeth, and she was only let in yesterday, and she hasn't left since(only to go to the bathroom). And now of course, to talk to us.

Steve motioned me forward and then followed. We sat on the bed and waited for Annabeth to speak.

Annabeth looked up from the bed. "Miranda informed us of some key advice she heard from the Grove of Dodona. We're heading to the Big House for a meeting soon. Could you gather leaders?"

She sounded so exhausted, both emotionally and physically. I nodded and jogged back outside. Steve followed and we went in different directions to collect everyone.

Camp Half-Blood these days was kind of like it was under a veil. Nothing seemed real and everything was blurry. It all just seems so far away. Like you're walking through molasses.

I came up to Jason, Piper, and Leo(Piper was trying out Leo's crutches) and I sat down at the table.

Leo was about to ask me what I wanted but I stopped him. "'Meeting in the Big House in thirty minutes. Better start walking," I told Leo and left to inform the next person. I bumped into Reyna. "Meeting in the Big House in half an hour. Tell Zhang and Levesque."

I kept walking. This is boring. Lightbulb! I decided to make a super cool projector so I don't have to walk around and tell every single camp counselor that there's a meeting in half an hour!

So I got to work and in about five minutes I had my masterpiece competed. I set it up and sent the message in the air.

Meeting in the Big House for Cabin Counselors and Roman Praetors in half an hour.

I leaned back and praised my work. Then I headed back around to the Big House, pointing out my amazing sign in the sky, and waited for the meeting to start.

On my way, I saw that the Egyptians were at the borders with their bags in hand. "Leaving so soon?" I asked as I strolled to meet them.

Carter looked down. "Yeah, we need to get back to Brooklyn House. The magicians need our help on some matter. We would've told somebody, but everyone seems to be busy."

"I understand." I shook my head and checked my watch. "I need to get to a meeting here pretty soon. Safe travels to Egypt!" I exclaimed.

Sadie grumbled. "We're going to Brooklyn, not freakin Egypt."

"Hey missy," I said, pointing a finger at her, "Steve wouldn't approve of that kind of language."

"Oh, fuck off!" She said. I whistled. Walt chuckled and led Sadie away. Zia waved. "I pray the best for you all. May the gods be with you." And then they disappeared into the Duat.

Whistling with my hands in my pockets, I walked back into camp. The Romans were packing up their makeshift camp and the Cyclops waded out to sea.

Campers bustled about, still setting up funeral arrangements and getting ready for the service which is supposed to take place tomorrow. Hunters were packing up their tents and cleaning their weapons.

Thalia ran to catch up with me. "How's he doing?" I didn't answer. "Tony! Answer me now!" "I don't know okay! Maybe you forgot, but nobody's allowed in there!" She got quiet.

She walked with me to the Big House. Rachel and Chiron were already there. Seconds after we walked in, Leo, Piper, and Jason came. And then Hazel and Frank.

And Steve and Bruce. And Will and Nico. And all the cabin counselors and praetors and avengers and everyone else that was supposed to show up.

And then Annabeth walked in the door and everyone got quiet. "Well, lets get started shall we?"

$&@$&@$&@$&@

Hi!!!!! Oh my gods it's so good to see you all! This is the start of my new story(sequel to New York Isn't Big Enough For The Both Of Us).

As you have most likely already seen, it's called Don't Be Afraid Of Your Fate. And I know this chapter sucks. It will get better I promise, but I just don't have my creative juices flowing right now and I wasn't quite sure how to start. (I was reading it over and it's totally cringe worthy).

I hope you like it so far and make sure to vote and comment. Love you Demigods:)
