(The episode begins in an endless void of darkness. Master Mind stands in the center, motionless. His eyes remain fixed on nothing.)

Master Mind (VO): How long have I been here? How long will they trap me here? These people… no… less than people… these barbaric insects will pay with their lives. (He closes his eyes.) I am… a god above all of them. Every breath they take is a countdown to their demise. I will kill them… I will return home… and I will kill them too. (A sound softly echoes through the area. It sounds vaguely like Bowser.)

Bowser (VO): Princess… Mushroom Kingdom… power…

Master Mind (VO): Now, he is an interesting one. His gross incompetence and lust for power, and yet that plumber… that Mario… he makes a mockery out of him. It almost makes me feel sorry for him.

Bowser (VO): Mario… (Master Mind’s hands begin to glow purple.)

Master Mind (VO): This prison… though a gift from the stars to drain me of my power, it is not powerful enough. It merely slows the process. With this… shred of my abilities…

(We cut to Bowser asleep in his castle, the voice of Master Mind suddenly echoes through his head.)

Master Mind (VO): King Bowser…

Bowser: Huh? Chippy, is that you again? (Bowser looks around.)

Master Mind (VO): No, you may call me Master Mind.

Bowser: That name sounds familiar. I heard stories about you back when I was a baby Koop.

Master Mind (VO): You want the princess, do you not? Peach? The demise of that miserable plumber? (Bowser jumps out of bed.)

Bowser: Do I ever! Every time I grab the princess, Mario comes in and plays hero. It makes me so mad!

Master Mind (VO): Come and find me in Peach’s castle. I’m imprisoned in the Shadow Crystal hidden beneath the castle floors. If you find me, your wildest dreams will come true.

Bowser: Really? You’ll nab Peach, bash Mario, and make me all-powerful?

Master Mind (VO): With a flick of my wrist. Just… come… find… me… (The voice disappears as Bowser smiles.)

Bowser: (Yelling.) Alright, Koopa Troop! We set out for the Mushroom Kingdom immediately!

(We cut to the present day as we see Master Mind standing in the Helghan control room, looking upon the purple skies.)

Master Mind: All that time wasting away in that prison. All those years of mockery from my peers. Every agonizing second spent powerless planning the demise of both worlds. It will all be worth it. (Electricity crackles around Master Mind’s fingers.) They will know the genius of the Master Mind, and I will take their world for my own. (He looks down upon the city.) The clock is ticking, heroes. (The camera zooms in on Master Mind’s eyes as the screen slowly fades to black.)
