*Adithya Pov*

"I heard that there is some strike today." She said while brushing her hair.

"Yes! But we don't know whether it is a serious strike or a calm strike." I said, folding the newspaper.

"I think even colleges may get a holiday." She said, frowning and turned towards me.

"Is there a holiday?" I asked her confused because she is getting ready right for college itself right.

"I don't think at present there is any but if the strike is even little more than a calm one there can be one at any time of the day." She replied.

"If you get a holiday, why don't we both go to your home?" I suggested thinking it would be good for us to spend some more time together and also to be liked by her family.

"Sure! That is a really good idea." She said smiling.

"By the way, that is my house and this is my home." She added, and I smiled shaking my head.

"Let's go!" I said dragging her outside the room.

"Just give me a call, and I will come here. From here, we will go to your house." I said when she got down from my bike.

"Ok!" She said smiling and walked inside the campus.

"Looks like we will not have any heavy work today." Rajeev said when I entered the station.

"Why?" I asked him frowning.

"Our circle is already protected by a few constables and there will be no violence 99%." He replied.

"That's really a great job, Rajeev. You are the best officer." I said, patting his back.

"You know your compliments make all of us work even harder for you." He said walking along with me.

"I don't have anything to do with it. You all people want nothing but to protect the society and do your work properly. Actually, you all make my work very easy." I said, and he rolled his eyes as usual.

"So what's the plan?" he asked, sitting before me.

"We need to get our station building a little remodeling as it's been two years, and it is not safe to continue using the same bars without changing the locks." I replied.

"Yeah! I will look into it and will change all them soon." He said nodding.

"If there is really no work like you are saying and if the colleges are given a holiday, then I will take leave for today." I said and he immediately looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"What is today's specialty?" he asked leaning forward on the table.

"I am thinking to go to her house you know my In-laws house and spend some time with them. And also get them to like me." I replied honestly.

"Why so suddenly?" he asked frowning.

"I... I need their likeness and that too soon." I replied remembering David's words.

"You are hiding something. What happened?" he asked, but I shook my head not wanting to say the words to which even I am not sure.

After some time, he entered while I am reading a file and said, "Looks like your plan for today is going to be fulfilled."

"Why?" I asked him frowning.

"All the colleges are given the holidays, and I even asked especially about Bhabhi's college. So go and get those britto's fall in love with you." He replied.

"Fall in love? That will happen when I get older, but for now neutral feelings would be enough." I said chuckling.

"You don't have the positive thoughts like Bhabhi. See how she got your parents on her side." He said shaking his head.

"They will like me by the end of the day." I said confidently.

"Want to bet?" He asked smirking.

"Ok! If you win I will give you my bike for one day, but if I win you will not talk to me about anything but your duty for one whole week." I replied.

"That's tough, but I am in." he said, and we both shook our hands.

I walked outside only to bump into someone. I apologized and looked up to find Parul standing there.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her frowning.

"Can we talk?" she asked pleadingly.

"No!" I replied, still frowning and walked towards the bike.

"Please, Adithya. I want to let you know that I am feeling guilty for doing that to you." She said standing before me while I put my key into the bike.

"Parul!" I said sighing.

"Forgive me, Adithya. I know I don't deserve it but please forgive me." She said joining her hands, and I can see tears falling from her eyes.

I never saw her crying after the first day of our marriage. I took my kerchief and gave it to her.

She shook her head and cried looking down. I sighed and brushed them away myself with the kerchief as few people are looking at me.

"I forgive you, but now you need to go. You live your life as I am living mine." I said moving back a little.

"But I want you Adithya. I want you in my life, and I will never leave you alone. Now I understood how much you love me, and I will never look down on it." She said and suddenly hugged me making me stun.

I removed her from the hug and calmly said, "First don't cry, Parul. You shouldn't cry like this."

"What is she doing here, Adithya?" I heard Rajeev's voice, and he is standing beside me immediately.

"She is just here to apologize." I replied.

"Look Parul, that day at the traffic zone you were behind him, and I didn't say anything. But now you can't disturb him like that. He is happy in his life after you left him so don't look at him again." He said harshly.

"Rajeev!" I shouted at him, seeing that he is gathering the attention, and now she is crying more.

"Just calm down Parul and we will talk about this." I said looking at her.

"Really?" She asked with hope.

"We will talk." I replied, and she nodded slowly reducing her tears.

When I saw that she is now feeling normal, I calmly said, "I am a married man."

"So? She loves David, and you love me. You both will never be happy probably good, but not best. David and I realized our mistakes, and I am sure you both will be happier with the people you love." She said looking at me.

"Adithya!" Rajeev said warningly.

"Will you just shut up for a few minutes, Rajeev." I said shouting at him, and he looked at me shocked.

"You never shouted at me. But now for the first time you are doing it and that too for her." He said with disappointment and looked away.

"Rajeev!" I called him.

"No! Don't say anything to me, but I will stand here to see that you will not do anything wrong with my Bhabhi, Janice." He said not looking at me, and I sighed.

I took a deep breath and said, "I don't love you, Parul. It is a good thing that you learnt your mistake and try to keep that in mind for future relation. As far as the matter regarding for us both to be together, that will never happen. Time passed and also feelings."

"But..." She started to say, and I shook my head cutting her off.

"No! This is my final word, and it will never change no matter what happens." I said with finality.

"I..." she trailed off, looking away.

"We will talk tomorrow, Rajeev." I said, looking at him, and he just gave a curt nod.

I sighed and drove away not at all feeling fine with the event that occurred here and that too at the station.

I never want my life to be on the road, but today I had to discuss a part of it here with all the people glances.

At present, I want to think about Janice and spend time with her and her family. I stopped in front of her college and waited for a few minutes, but the gates got closed.

I asked the watchmen and got to know that everyone already left the premises. She must have reached her parent's home directly.

I drove there and got down from the bike feeling little nervous, but walked towards the door. I knocked on the door and waited a few seconds before it got opened by Uncle itself.

"Holiday, Uncle?" I asked him entering the house.

"It is and we just thought of taking a rest for today." He replied and understood his meaning.

"Is Janice here?" I asked him looking around.

"No! At first, she said she will come here, but then she called and said she will go home directly." He replied, and I nodded.

So she is already home, but I came here directly without her to save me. I should have called her before coming here.

"I will leave." I said, turning around.

"Adithya! What a surprise? Come and sit down." I heard Bhai's voice making me lose the chance of leaving.

I can't leave now with the bet going on with Rajeev right? So I decided to try my hard without her help.

"Janice and I decided to visit you guys and spend the time here with you all but looks like she forgot about it." I explained.

"Oh! But you are here right, so stay." He said smiling, and I sat down beside his father.

"Is there no important work today?" Uncle asked.

"No Uncle! We already prepared ahead to make the strike pass in peace and took few measures." I replied.

"I heard that there won't be much violence in your circle at all." Bhai said.

"Everyone's hard work is the reason for it." I said, and he smiled.

"Is this job your passion?" Uncle asked normally.

"Yes! Dad was not happy, but I wanted to do what I want to. He understood in the end." I replied.

"Your Dad is really good at financial decisions." Uncle said nodding.

"Dad said you are good at taking decisions spontaneously coming through many obstacles." I said trying to praise him.

"Did you have breakfast today? Ours are Bread and butter here." Bhai said, raising his eyebrow, and I stopped myself from chuckling realizing that he understood what I am trying to do.

"Is it really good to work in the police department?" Uncle asked with interest.

"Definitely and mainly with satisfaction at the end of the day while we close the eyes is beautiful." I replied.

"Want to have some lunch?" He asked and immediately called his wife without hearing my reply.

By evening, I felt like I am part of the family, and I enjoyed it, mainly with the sweet baby. Uncle and Aunty were also so good, and I felt at ease while talking to them.

Rajeev really lost the bet. I thought smiling to myself, but then I realized that he was angry with me.

"I will leave Uncle." I said and left with great effort as they didn't let me.

From there, I went to Rajeev's house and asked for him. He walked outside with frown expression.

"I won the bet and I am sorry, friend." I said looking at him.

"Now I can't talk to you about other things? How dare you to win it? You should have lost it for me so that I could have forgiven you." He said shaking his head.

"Would you have really liked it?" I asked raising my eyebrow.

"No! I would have been angrier at you." He replied smiling.

"Am I forgiven?" I asked, looking at him.

"Yes!" he replied, and I hugged him before leaving his house.

When I reached our home, I saw that Janice is talking to Mom and Dad normally like most days. I freshen up and walked downstairs to have dinner with them.

"Why didn't you call me? We planned to go to your house right?" I asked her when we walked inside our room.

"I felt tired, so I returned home directly." She replied lying on the bed.

"I went there and guess what they like me now. I spent great time with your family." I said, smiling at her, and she smiled back before hugging me tightly placing her head on my chest.

"Good night!" she said and I slowly drifted off into sleep.

*Janice Pov*

I opened my eyes when he slept off. I snuggled more and thought how my surprise ruined my thoughts and mood.

I rushed from the college and reached his station to surprise him. I smiled to myself thinking how he will react seeing me.

But before I pass the main gate, I saw him walking towards his bike. Did he decide to come near me already getting the news?

I smiled, but immediately frowned seeing Parul with him. I walked a little and stood near a car to wait for him.

Nonetheless, then I heard them talking with shock until Rajeev reached there. She wants him back? How can she decide that?

Then I heard him shouting for the second time after the hotel incident before we met properly. I can't believe he shouted at Rajeev as one day, he said he will never shout at Rajeev no matter what he will do.

I just looked at them and then saw a hopeful face of Parul. I shook my head and left from there not saying anything to them.

I reached our home not having the mood to spend time with my family and act normal. I caught some sleep and then spent the remaining time with Uncle and Aunty.

I closed my eyes not knowing what to even say to him. There are a lot of confusion and disturbance in my mind to even think something properly.

I drifted off into sleep with the confusion only and with no answers...

So this is the biggest chap in this story for the late updates...
