| FINDING OUT |
~ JUSTIN POV ~
When Harley leaves to go to the bathroom, I bring up the problem that she's been limping.
"I noticed that too, it could be just exhaustion from cross-country, but by the way she's walking, it looks sprained," Maddie explains.
"Yeah, and she obviously has a bunch of concealer on, any girl would be able to tell. It's like... piled up." Megan adds, and Lyla agrees. Tom looks impressed that she knows so much about makeup, seeing as she only wears mascara, eyeliner, and concealer.
"Maybe we should say something, she can't hide injuries forever," Ethan remarks. I immediately agree.
When she walks back in, I say, "Why are you limping? And why do you have so much makeup on?"
She freezes, a tear escapes her eye but she wipes it away quickly, "I didn't think you would notice," Harley whispers, "Is it that obvious?"
We all nod and she lets more tears fall from her eyes, crawling over to my spot on the mat and curling up in my arms. Everyone goes quiet, Harley isn't like this. She doesn't show emotions very often, except anger. We don't know what to do, so we just sit there, comforting her.

When Harley calmed down, she told us everything. From when her mom left, to her dad abusing her. She told us that if she told anyone, her dad would hurt her in worse ways. No one knew what to say about that, so they came over to us and hugged Harley and me. We stayed in that group hug until Harley fell asleep.
"She's asleep guys, get up, but try not to wake her," I tell them.
"Megan's asleep too," Tom announces. He shifts so that he and Megan are now cuddled up a few feet away from Harley and me.
Tom takes Megan's phone, probably texting her parents, and everybody else texts their parents as well. The eight of us stay in my room until morning.
