She's definitely on the shorter side, at only 5'3. She's also quite thin naturally, and rather frail.

Tattoos/Marks/Scars/Piercings:
She has a small tattoo of a rose behind her right ear, to represent what family she's from. Better that than a heavy crown that'd undoubtedly matt in her hair.

Personality: She's quite naive, even after the curse and ordeal with prince charming. She always assumes the best of everyone, which is why she still doesn't hate maleficent after all that's happened. She's also rather book smart, but has no street smarts whatsoever. Stranger offering candy in a van? Heck yeah free candy! Honestly it was shocking to nobody that she fell victim to her curse.

She's also known to be brave, and a bit brash. She just doesn't really get that nervous, after all what's the worse that can happen? She gets cursed again? Big whoop. Life's too short to live in fear.

She's just overall an adventurous person. You can imagine why her parents keep her close.

Backstory:
Her mother and father struggled for many years to have a child. When she was born, they invited all the family of her mother, including her step siblings, who were fae. However, they didn't invite Maleficent who'd been known for her skill with dark magic, fearful for the affect it'd have on Briar.

Unfortunately, Maleficent had somehow gotten word of the event. When two of the faeries had given her the gift of beauty and song, maleficent barged in and cursed her with eternal slumber by pricking her finger on a needle.

The third faery, who'd been unsure what to gift, gave her the ability to break the curse when a prince kissed her. Unfortunately they didn't specify that they had to love her, or be pure of intention.

The three faeries hid Briar in a cottage in the enchanted forest, so that nobody could find her. She grew up, being called Aurora, as it'd been her mother's nickname for her.

In time, through a series of adventures, she met a prince known as prince charming. And the name was fitting enough. She snuck out and met him deep in the woods on occasion, the faeries unknowing.

However, word of this "Aurora" swept about the enchanted forest and Maleficent was quickly able to find her. Upon knowledge that Maleficent knew where they were, the faeries told Aurora who she really was and took her back to the Rose kingdom, where they hoped she could be protected.

She grew bitter because she had been planning on running off with prince charming and now she was unable to get word to him. However, being with her family and learning of the Royal customs helped her soften up.

When she least expected it, she was tricked into pricking her finger and she fell unconscious. She's not much sure what happened in that time, but it'd apparently been almost a full year that she was unconscious.

Eventually prince charming kissed her and she awoke. She thought that they'd get married after, but her parents forbade it and she learned of the other partners he'd had and how he'd treated them, and any notion of marriage was quickly thrown out the window.

Now though, she lives happily in the palace. And oftentimes she heads back to the cottage in the enchanted woods for the nostalgia. That, and it's a great opportunity to make many friends.
