The water in the bottom of the tub turned brown as I rinsed out the hair dye. This is a monthly occurrence for me, having to hide my bright blonde hair from everyone.

I stood and wrapped a towel around my head and sighed rubbing my lower back. A knock on my door sounded out, it was loud but short. I walked to the door opening it to reveal an ANBU member I knew all too well. I smiled as I dried my hair, "Can I help you?"

"You're to come with me."

I rolled my eyes and laughed slippng on my shoes and walking out of the door following behind My ANBU Kakashi.

As we reached the office door Kakashi left me, I knocked on the door twice before walking in. "Lord Hokage." I said closing the door behind me. He was sitting in his chair and smiled at me, "Ah Y/N. I assume your finished your task for today?" I nodded my head as I played with my newly dyed brown hair. "Yes sir, task is complete." He smiled and nodded his head, "Good I'm glad. But I have another task for you." He stood up from his chair and walked around his desk leaning against it as he faced me, "I need you and Kakashi to keep an eye on Kushina until she gives birth, don't crowd her though. Just keep your distance and make sure nothing happens to her." I've never seen my brother this serious before, I knew the moment she got pregnant he would start acting like this, though the thought of having a niece or nephew is pretty exciting.

I smiled at him and bowed, "Will do Lord Hokage." He nodded his head and I left his office heading straight to Kushina's place to keep her company.

I took a deep breath and was Transported to wherever Kushina was.

It was outside, Lord Third and a few ANBU members were trying to make their way through a barrier in front of them. "Y-Y/N?" Kushina's weak voice caused me to whip around. She was in her knees golden chains shooting from her body and wrapping around the Nine tails behind her, Minato's back was to me, he had the Reaper Death seal ready to use. "MINATO!" I screamed running to him, but as I got closer I saw A tiny little baby boy on an alter with candles around him.

"This is N-Naruto. O-our son..." Tears stung my eyes as I gazed upon the small infant, Naruto...my nephew. "K-Kushina...what..." I turned to Minato, "Why? I don't understand..." But there was no time to explain, the Nine Tails was able to break his hand free, with a claw out he shoved his hand out aiming for Naruto. I didn't even have to think for a second before I placed my body in front of Naruto holding my arms out to protect him, a piercing pain in my right shoulder made me cry out in pain. They both smiled weakly at me, "Y-You'll have to look after N-Naruto for us...okay?" I let my tears fall freely down my cheeks, "N-no! You'll guys be okay! Yo-you will be able to take care of Naruto yourselves..I-I cant..I-"

Minato chuckled, "You'll do ju-just fine. I know you can."

"Naruto will ne-eed someone to watch out for him."

"But I'm just a kid myself! I can't take care a baby! I can barley take care of myself, I forget to eat sometimes, and my house is always a mess. I forget to do laundry....I'm a wreck I'm not-"

I looked down at him crying harder now that I'm alone to take care of him. I pulled away from Kakashi and picked Naruto up, A seal covering his belly. "Don't cry Naruto...You-you have me. I'm right here, and I swear on my life that no one will ever hurt you." I cuddled his little body into my chest as sobbed racked out of my body.

I turned to Kushina's and Minato's bodies as the ANBU laid them side by side. I crouched down by Minato an touched his still warm face. "I'm so -sorry. I'll take care of him and kill anyone who dares harm Naruto."

My fingers curled into my palm as I screamed out from my brother...for the man who will never see his child grow up. For the husband who won't hold his wife again. My tears covered his face as I laid my forehead on his. "I love you brother." I whispered in his ear, quiet enough so no one would hear, our secret will go with me to the grave.

"Good." I put my kunai away and fishes in my pouch for some money and threw it at his face. "Keep the change." I stood up and scooped Naruto up in my arms and walked away. "Thanks Sis." He said holding onto the mask. "No problem bud, I'm always here for you, and that's a promise." Naruto hugged my neck, "Are you going to see Kakashi today sis?"

I giggled at his love for Kakashi, "Yes we are actually going to go see him right now for lunch."

"Who said we were getting ramen?"

"Kakashi will get it for me."
