In Great Hall, Carrows, Snape, and Elliandria are on the dais, Ellie's wand in her hand. "Many of you are surely wondering why I have summoned you at this hour." Snape says. "It's come to my attention that earlier this evening, Harry Potter was sighted in Hogsmeade. Now should anyone, student or staff, attempt to aid Mr. Potter they will be punished in a manner consistent with the severity of their transgressions. Furthermore  person found to have knowledge of these events, who fails to come forward will be treated as equally guilty. Now then, if anyone here has any knowledge of Mr. Potter's movements this evening, I invite them to step forward, now."

"I know exactly where he is." Ellie says. Snape turns around.

"Did you help him, Miss Andante?" The Carrows step closer to Ellie and she points her wand at them. "Elliandria where is he?" Harry steps out of line.

"Behind you." Snape turns back around.

"It seems despite your exhaustive defensive strategies you still have a bit of a security problem, headmaster." Harry says and the Order enters behind him. Ellie keeps her wand ready against the Carrows. "and I'm afraid it's rather extensive. You should really keep a better eye on your daughter."

"Elliandria how could you?!" Snape exclaims and Ellie shrugs.

"Tell them how it was that night." Harry says. "Tell them how you looked him in the eye, a man who trusted you... and killed him. Tell them!" Snape draws his wand and McGonagall pushes Harry to the side. Snape slightly lowers his wand in hesitation.

"Father!" Ellie exclaims. The Carrows and Order draw wands. Ellie keeps hers pointed at Carrows. McGonagall and Snape fight and Snape uses McGonagall's spell to take out the Carrows. Snape flies out. "Did he seriously just leave me here?!"

"How did you not get knocked out?"

"He purposely redirected your spell to hit them but not me." Ellie walks down to her house, eyed by her friends.

"Give me Harry Potter." Voldemort's voice rings out through the Great Hall "Do this and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter and I shall leave Hogwarts untouched. Give me Harry Potter and you will be rewarded."

     "What are you waiting for?" Pansy exclaims. "Someone grab him." Ellie hits Pansy upside the head before joining Ginny in protecting Harry.

     "You're really on our side?" Ginny questions.

     "I always have been." Ellie replies.

     "Students out of bed!" Filch yells as he runs in. "Students in the corridors!"

     "They're supposed to be out of bed, you blithering idiot!" McGonagall says.

     "Oh. Sorry, mum."

     "Wait! As it turns out, Mr. Filch, your arrival is most opportune. If you would, I'd like you to lead Miss Parkinson and the rest of Slytherin House from the Hall."

     "Professor?" Ellie questions.

     "Except Miss Andante." McGonagall adds.

     "Right away." Filch says. "Er, exactly where is it I'd be leadin' em to, mum?"

     "The dungeons should do."

     "Elliandria's not going?" Pansy asks. "But she's in love with Bellatrix Lestrange and is Headmaster Snape's daughter and is a Death Eater!"

     "I am all of those things." Ellie says. "But my loyalties have always truly lied with Harry." Tears fill her eyes. "I've made peace with the fact will be on the opposite side of my father and love. All of you are more important. I do have one condition. If anyone seriously injures or kills my father, Bellatrix, or the Malfoys, I will kill you myself. I would like to stay at only killing two people in my lifetime."

     "You?" Neville questions. "You've killed before?"

     "It's really the only way to earn the Dark Lord's trust. I only liked killing one of them."

     "Your mother?" Hermione asks.

     "Yes, she deserved it after everything she did to me."

"Nagini, Kill." Voldemort says. Nagini attacks Snape. Ellie's screams are covered by Snape's. Voldemort leaves the boat house and the trio and Ellie run in.

"No no no no." Ellie says. "I can't lose you." Snape looks at Ellie and a tear starts to fall down his face.

"Take them." Snape says. Harry and Ellie notice the tear glowing. "Take them please."

"Give me something!" Harry says. "Quickly! A flask anything" Hermione summons and gives him a flask. Harry catches the tear. Snape looks at Harry.

"They are the same. You have your mother's eyes." Snape looks at Ellie. "I love you Elliandria."

"No, no, no." Ellie whispers. Harry steps back and lets Ellie hold Snape. Voldemort's voice echos through everyone's head.

"You have fought valiantly... but in vain." Voldemort says. "I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. Harry Potter, I speak now directly to you. On this night you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no greater dishonor. Join me in the Forbidden Forest and confront your fate. Should you do so I give my word that no other life will be lost on this night. You have one hour. If, at the end of that time, you have not given yourself up, then I shall punish every last man, woman and child who tries to conceal you from me."

"We need to go Ellie." Harry says. Ellie nods and wipes her tears.

Ellie grabs Harry's arm before he leaves the Great Hall doorway after viewing Snape's memories. "Get there as soon as possible." Ellie says. "I'll see you there."

"Why will you be there?" Harry asks.

"I have to keep the facade up a little longer."

"Be careful."

"Where have you been, El?" Bellatrix asks as Ellie walks up to her in the forest. "I was starting to get worried."

"Keeping my cover." Ellie says. "They needed to believe I was on their side a little longer. He should be here soon."

"I don't need your help." Voldemort says as Bellatrix tries to help him up. Voldemort pushes Bellatrix away and Ellie helps her up.

"The boy?" Bellatrix says to Narcissa. "Is he dead?" Narcissa stands up from Harry's body.

"Dead." Narcissa says. Ellie hold back tears.

Ellie stands with the Death Eaters, in Bellatrix's arms.

     "Elliandria!" Neville exclaims. "What are you doing? You lied to us?"

     "You really are a traitor." Ron says and Ellie looks at her feet.

     "Now is the time to declare yourself." Voldemort says.

     "Draco..." Lucius says. "Draco don't be stupid."

     "Come Draco." Narcissa says and Draco walks over to the Death Eaters.

     "Not my daughter you bitch!" Molly Weasley says to Bellatrix after she almost kills Ginny. Bellatrix just laughs and Ellie smiles at her love. Ellie ducks as she almost misses a spell flying at her. Ellie notices Molly's spells are starting to get to Bellatrix so she runs in that direction. Bellatrix notices Ellie coming out of the corner of her eye and smirks. Sadly this also distracted Bellatrix long enough for Molly to get a hit in.

     "Bella!" Ellie yells. She dives in between Bellatrix and Molly and takes the hit herself. She lands on the ground in a ball.

     "No!" Bellatrix yells. "What did you do?" Bellatrix kneels next to Ellie. "El wake up. Ellie please." Bellatrix starts to cry as Ellie remains still. "Help her!" She yells at Molly. Bellatrix carefully picks Ellie up and carries her to the nearby corner. She puts a protection spell around them to keep them safe. She sits with her back in the corner and lays Ellie down on the floor.

     When the battle ends minutes later, Narcissa notices Bellatrix crying in the corner. "Ellie." She gasps out before running to Bellatrix. Narcissa walks through the protection spell and kneels next to Ellie. "What happened Bella?"

     "She took a hit for me." Bellatrix replies.

     "Stupid girl." Narcissa mutters as she looks for a pulse. "She's alive but barely."

     "I don't know what to do, how to help her. I don't know what she was hit with."

     "I can't help her if I don't know what she was hit with Bella. I'm sorry. Maybe someone else could help her."

     "They aren't going to help me."

     "You have to try." Bellatrix carefully picks up Ellie and stands. She walks over to the makeshift triage and the area goes silent. Some point their wands at her.

     "Help her." Bellatrix says with a crack in her voice.

     "Ellie!" Hermione exclaims as she runs over, the boys behind her. "What happened?"

     "She got between me and Molly." Bellatrix says.

     "May I?" Harry asks as he motions to take Ellie from Bellatrix. Bellatrix shakes her head and holds Ellie tighter. "Let's lay her down over here then." Harry leads Bellatrix to an empty cot. Bellatrix lays Ellie on the cot and sits on the floor next to her.

     "If anything happens to her I swear I will kill you all." Bellatrix says.

     "We know." Harry replies. "She would say the same. Mrs. Weasley!" Molly rushes over to see Ellie on the cot.

     "Poor girl." Molly says. "She probably saved Bellatrix's life."

     "Do you know what you hit her with, how to help her?" Molly nods.

     "Should we really help her?" Ron asks. "We don't know which side she was truly on."

     "Ronald Weasley!" Molly exclaims.

"She was with us Ron." Harry says. "Snape and her both were." Molly draws her wand and waves it over Ellie.

"I've done all I can. All we can do now is wait."

     "Come on El." Bellatrix whispers. "I can't lose you." Narcissa comes by a few minutes later with her family in tow.

     "How is she?" Narcissa asks.

     "They've done all they can for her." Bellatrix says. "We just have to wait and see if she wakes up."

     "How are you?"

     "Honestly, scared. I'm scared she won't wake up. I'm scared about what's going to happen to me."

     "What do you mean?"

     "Cissy I am an easy target right now. I'm honestly surprised no one has tried to arrest me yet. I don't want to hide. I want to be with her."

     "I don't know what will happen, but I'm here for both of you."

     Kingsley Shacklebolt walks over a few minutes later. "Bellatrix. I think you know why I'm here."

     "Please don't take me from her." Bellatrix says with tears in her eyes. "At least until she wakes up. Here." She takes out her wand and holds it out. "Please." Kingsley takes the wand and sighs.

     "Fine. Once she wakes up though we will need to take you in." Bellatrix nods.

     Finally, after an hour, Ellie stirs.

     "El?" Bellatrix whispers. Ellie groans in pain and slowly opens her eyes. "El!"

     "Ugh I feel like I got hit by a bus." Ellie mutters. Bellatrix leans over and hugs Ellie tightly. She pulls back from the hug and kisses Ellie. Ellie smiles into the kiss. "I take it you were worried."

     "Shut up!" Bellatrix says. "Never do that again! You almost left me." Ellie sits up, wincing in pain.

     "I will never leave you Bella. I love you."

     "I love you too. They're going to take me back to Azkaban. I got them to agree to let me stay until you woke up."

     "They can't take you back if you run and hide."

     "I gave them my wand El. I'm going back."

     "But-"

     "I'm sorry." Tears come to both of their eyes.

     "Don't be. We can get out of here before they can take you." Ellie tries to stand only to fall down and Bellatrix catches her.

"You're not going anywhere right now El." Ellie searches for her wand. She pulls it out and hands it to Bellatrix.

"Go. Leave me. Leave the country. Write me when you can."

"But El. I can't leave you. I love you."

     "I love you too but you have to go. Go!" Bellatrix nods and disapparates away.

     "And she's gone." Kingsley says as he walks over.

     "I'm sorry." Ellie says. "I couldn't let her go back to Azkaban."

     "We'll get her eventually."

     "I hope not."

     "Where's Bella?" Narcissa asks as she walks over.

     "Gone." Ellie says as she starts to cry.

     "Oh Ellie." Narcissa says as she sits on the cot next to Ellie.

     "I gave her my wand and told her to leave. I don't know if I'll ever see her again."

     "You will. I'm sure of it."

     "I've lost my father and now Bella."

     "Everything will be okay."

2 years later (Fall 2000)

     Ellie is walking down a side street in Hogsmeade when a cloaked person steps out of an alley behind her. The person follows Ellie down the street and into an alley. Ellie turns around and draws her wand. "Who are you and what do you want?"

     "Is that anyway to greet your love?" The cloaked person asks.

     "Bella?" Ellie questions quietly. The person lowers their hood. Ellie smiles brightly as she sees Bellatrix. "Bella!" Ellie runs forward and hugs Bellatrix tightly.

     "Come on." Bellatrix says. "We need to get you packed so you can come live with me." Ellie releases Bellatrix and frowns.

     "I can't just leave Bella. It's been two years. I have a job that I love, friends that I can't just leave, never mind Narcissa."

     "El it won't be long until people realize I am here. We need to go now."

     "I love you, I do, but I can't just drop everything and disappear with you."

     "I love you too." Bellatrix sighs. "I guess we have time for you to say goodbye to Cissy. I should probably see her before I disappear again anyways."

     "Good job Elliandria." A voice says from behind Bellatrix. Bellatrix turns to see Kingsley standing there. Another Auror steps out behind Ellie. Ellie grabs Bellatrix's wand from its holster before Bellatrix can.

     "What the hell are you doing El?" Bellatrix asks as she turns back around and tears fill Ellie's eyes.

     "Incarcerous." Kingsley casts and Bellatrix's hands are tied behind her back. The tears fall from Ellie's eyes.

      "The hardest thing I've had to do." Ellie says before Kingsley disapparates with Bellatrix. Ellie hands Bellatrix's wand to the other Auror and he disapparates too.

Ellie disapparates back to Hogwarts with tears falling. McGonagall is waiting for her at the front door. She wraps Ellie in a hug and guides her inside. "I take it you succeeded?" McGonagall asks.

"Yes." Ellie says. McGonagall leads Ellie up to the Headmaster's office. They sit down inside and Ellie lets out a sob.

"I know this must be difficult." McGonagall says. "If you want to take a few days off that can be arranged." Ellie shakes her head.

"If I take a few days off I will just wallow in my misery. I need to work."

"If that's what you think is best."

Ellie walks into the small room they are holding Bellatrix in at the Ministry. "El?" Bellatrix questions from her spot on the floor.

"Hey." Ellie replies as she crosses the small room to Bellatrix.

"You helped them arrest me instead of leaving with me." Ellie sighs as she kneels.

"I didn't have a choice."

"What?"

"It was part of the terms of my freedom. If you were to ever return, I was to help the Aurors arrest you. They would have put me and Narcissa in Azkaban if I didn't accept. They would have put Narcissa in Azkaban if I left with you."

"But Cissy never was a Death Eater."

"They didn't care. She supported the Dark Lord and that was enough for them. I had to do this. I couldn't let Draco lose his mother and as much as I don't like Lucius, I couldn't let him lose his wife."

"They didn't arrest Lucius?"

"He made a deal like I did. He agreed to help catch the other Death Eaters in exchange for freedom."

"What are you doing here anyways?"

"They said I could visit you before your trial and I wanted to. I didn't want you to go to Azkaban thinking I willingly gave you up."

"How did they even know I was back?"

"You were seen in Hogwarts by the portraits and Peeves. They told McGonagall who told the Ministry. Why would you risk going to Hogwarts?"

"I heard you worked there. I thought I could find you before I was found out but you were in different quarters than you were two years ago. Peeves saw me and started a commotion so I left." There is a knock on the door.

"I have to go. I love you."

"I love you too." Ellie leans forward and kisses Bellatrix before getting up.

Ellie sits in the stands with her friends, Draco, and Narcissa. Her friends and Draco sit on one side. Ellie sits close to Narcissa, almost sitting on her lap, on the other side and Narcissa holds her hands.

"They seem really close." Harry whispers to Hermione. "Closer than I thought they were."

"They do" Hermione replies.

"Well they both love Bella." Draco says.

"Yeah but it seems more than just Bellatrix." Harry says and Draco sighs.

"Don't tell anyone I told you this, but when Elliandria started seeing Bellatrix, she was also with my mother."

"Wait what?" Ron says with a shocked face.

"It ended for the most part when my father returned. They both say it was just physical but I think they both feel something more. Not enough to do anything about it but they are really close. That's why she lives at the manor in the summer." The trio just sit silently. "Yeah it traumatized me for a while."

"Her Amortentia." Hermione states. "The pleasant scents were your mother weren't they?"

"Yes."

The Aurors bring Bellatrix in, she walks calmly not fighting them. She looks over at Ellie and smiles. Her face is tear-stained like Ellie's. They lead her to a chair in the center of the room. She sits and is magically bound to it.

Tears stream down Ellie's face during the trial. Finally they reach a decision.

"Life in Azkaban!" Kingsley declares, Ellie sobs and cries into Narcissa's shoulder. Bellatrix just looks at her lap and focuses on not crying.

That night, Ellie lays in bed staring at the ceiling. She doesn't feel anything.

"You can't appeal a life sentence Elliandria." Kingsley says when Ellie goes to him the next morning.

"There has to be something I can do." Ellie says. "I won't let her rot there."

"She's unstable and unfit for a normal life."

"No she's not. She's gone the last year without harming anyone and I kept her from killing and torturing before that. I know how to control her. I can control her. The one time I let her kill and torture was the man that tried to kill me... and Greyback."

"The only reason she didn't harm anyone is because she was on the run. And what about what she did to Hermione?"

"No it was because she's changed. As for Hermione, I didn't have a choice in stopping her."

     "What about all the Muggle-borns you two were sent after?"

     "I kept her from doing anything more than pacifying them. I told her no torture."

"I seriously cannot believe I am doing this." Kingsley mutters to himself. "Look there is something I can do. Azkaban has become more like modern prisons since we got rid of the dementors. If she agrees to rehabilitation it is possible to get her released eventually. I cannot guarantee it will be soon or at all."

"Thank you Kingsley." Ellie smiles softy. "I'm sure she will agree. Will I be able to see her anytime soon?"

     "I'm not sure."

Ellie walks down a hall of Azkaban, escorted by Harry and Ron. "Are you sure this is okay?" Ellie asks. "Kingsley said he wasn't sure I'd be able to see her this soon."

"We cleared it with him first." Harry replies.

"He wasn't happy about it though." Ron adds.

"Not surprising." Ellie says. "He was reluctant to give Bella a second chance." Down the hall, in a cell, Bellatrix looks up from her lap as she hears Ellie's voice. They stop outside Bellatrix's cell and Bellatrix smiles softly. Ellie steps closer to the door. Bellatrix stands and walks across the small cell to her.

"El?" Bellatrix whispers. "You're really here?"

"Yes." Ellie replies. Bellatrix reaches through the bars and touches Ellie's face with a cold hand. She then cups Ellie's cheek and smiles softly.

"It's not a hallucination." Ellie frowns.

"Have you been hallucinating?"

"A little. Being back here, even with the dementors gone, it's not easy."

"I don't doubt it." Ellie puts her hand over Bellatrix's.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see you. I heard you accepted Kingsley's offer."

"I did."

"Good, good. Hopefully you'll get out eventually."

"I want out now."

"I know you do. I want you out now too. But it's not going to happen. Not until they can prove you've changed."

"I know and I'm trying."

     "You've changed. You know it, I know it. Now you just need the rest of the world to know it."

     "Did you know the Dark Lord was going to fall? Is that why you kept me from killing and torturing?"

     "I had an inkling. I knew what Harry and his friends were doing during 7th year. I knew there was a large possibility that he would fall."

     "You knew and didn't tell anyone?"

     "Bella, I was never on the Dark Lord's side. It was all an act."

     "You- you weren't?"

     "Neither was my father."

     "I figured your father but you..."

     "I did what I had to to survive. Falling for you made that very difficult. In the end I wasn't loyal to anyone but you and Harry. That's why I stayed with you at the battle even though every part of me was telling me to go to the light."

"I guess I remember Potter saying you and your father both were with him. While you were unconscious."

Ellie visits Bellatrix at every opportunity.

Fall 2004

     "It's time." Kingsley says as he approaches Ellie after dinner. "There are additional terms we need to go over with her but she can be released as early as tomorrow." Ellie smiles brightly. "One term is that she has to live with you, including at Hogwarts. That way she will be under the watch of McGonagall as well."

"She may not like that but I'm sure she'll suck it up for her freedom." Ellie says.

"If she does anything illegal or anything McGonagall does not approve of, she will go back to Azkaban, no more chances."

"Understood."

Ellie paces in the entrance courtyard. "I mean what if we've grown apart?" Ellie says to McGonagall.

"Ellie you visited her every chance you had." McGonagall says. "You have not grown apart." Ellie continues to spiral as she paces and McGonagall shakes her head. Ellie doesn't hear the pop of someone Apparating and McGonagall rolls her eyes. McGonagall spins Ellie around.

"What if-" Ellie is interrupted as she sees Bellatrix. "Bella." She says with a smile. They run to each other and hug tightly.

"It's so good to hold you again." Bellatrix whispers.

"Come on." Ellie says as she releases Bellatrix. She gently takes Bellatrix's hand.

"Remember, this is your final chance Bellatrix." Kingsley says.

"I know." Bellatrix says before walking with Ellie.
