Jin looked around the table and could tell the bottomless mimosas were starting to get to everybody. Jimin and Taehyung were laughing absurdly loud at one of Jin's awful dad jokes while Jungkook argued that it wasn't even that funny despite having giggled at it himself. Hoseok was feeding Yoongi random stuff off of his plate, some things edible while some things weren't. Yoongi had scolded and threatened him multiple times at that point but Hoseok just laughed it off and carried on.

Namjoon was leaning forward on one of his elbows slightly smiling at everyone else. He seemed so content. He usually looked so uptight but right now, he looked as if he'd never been more relaxed.

Everyone's food was practically done at this point so Namjoon signaled the waiter over to collect the check while the others were distracted. Whenever they got Namjoon to settle down and come out to eat with them he'd always cover the tab... he felt like he owed it to him. They were basically the air that kept him breathing after all.

It was around 1 o'clock when they finally left the restaurant and made their way back into the limo. They were still so lively and talkative the entire way back to the hotel. Yoongi pretended to hate it but everyone knew he enjoyed it.

When the limo pulled up in front of the hotel, the seven of them piled out and made their way into the lobby.

"Sorry to cut things short but Hoseok, Yoongi and I have some business to attend to. Feel free to enjoy the hotel's amenities with everyone else." Namjoon said while directing his gaze towards Jin. "So soon? Will we see you later?" Jin asked. "We'll be done around evening. Trust that you'll hear from me later on Seokjin." Namjoon said with a smile and turned to walk away with Yoongi and Hoseok trailing behind.

"We have the whole afternoon to ourselves. How about we hit the arcade? Or even the indoor pool? Or we could go to the theater?" Taehyung threw out a barrage of questions towards Jin and the others but his mood was immediately killed when he heard Namjoon calling for him.

"Sorry, we'll be need you too Taehyung."

Taehyung's face immediately dropped and it looked as if a million bricks fell on top of him. "But Hyung, you said I could have the afternoon off." Taehyung argued. "That was yesterday, this is today and I need you. You can hang out with them later." Namjoon answered back.

Taehyung slouched his shoulders and gave Jin and smile, quickly gave Jungkook a kiss on the cheek and let go of Jimin's hand who he'd been holding all this time.

"I'll catch up with you later." Taehyung said before catching up with Namjoon.

As disappointed as Taehyung looked, he knew he had a duty and he knew it was important for Namjoon to call him in so suddenly.

The four walked off leaving Jin, Jimin and Jungkook standing there pretty awkwardly. Jimin spoke up and suggested they visit the arcade like Taehyung had suggested.

Over time the tension eased and Jimin and Jungkook had eased up to Jin way more and vice versa.

Meanwhile elsewhere in the hotel:

"I know I've asked this a million times Taehyung, but are you positive it was one of our men?" Namjoon asked from across the room the long room.

"And for the millionth time yes. He gave me the signal. I know it's hard for you to believe Hyung, but I swear he gave me the signal indicating he was ours." Taehyung said with slight irritation. He knew his brother believed him and understood why he kept asking but he had told his story to Namjoon so many times and he was starting to get sick of it.

The room they were in was dimly lit with computers all aligned on the wall. In the center was a 10 chair conference table. Those in the room consisted of Namjoon, Taehyung, Hoseok, Yoongi and two techs, Kyujin and Suho. Ever since Namjoon got word from Taehyung that they had a traitor in their midst, he kept the news lowkey. Everyone in that room and Jimin and Jungkook knew of the potential traitor. Announcing it would only cause panic and may make the traitor act more drastically.

"I believe you Taehyung. It's just hard.. I expected better. But I want you to run the incident by me one more time because I know we're missing something." Namjoon said while taking a seat and picking up a pen.

"I know Hyung. As I've said before, when I went to the rendezvous point at 12 a.m as instructed. Hyori was there and we began exchanging information as planned. The meeting had been compromised at around 1:30 a.m when a watchman came back in and warned us about incoming cops. I left for my emergency route which was cleared by Kyujin weeks prior to the rendezvous. One of our men was stationed there to escort me and make sure the route was clear. When I made my way out, there he was waiting like I expected. He didn't have his face exposed but I didn't question it because he immediately gave me the signal to advance; the signal only our team knows. No outsider should know it. When I turned the next I was immediately attacked. I dodged and let down my guard in the back, which would be my mistake because that's when one of our so called men stabbed me the the side. I immediately pulled out my gun and shot the first attacker in the leg and threw the traitor over my shoulder. I used that chance to escape because I knew I didn't have the strength to properly gauge the situation. I limped my way over to the alley way, the alley where I met Jin." Taehyung recalls.

Everyone in the room listened intently, looking for something. They wanted to know badly who did this to Taehyung and who betrayed them.

The process would be going a lot smoother if there hadn't been a huge data breach. Multiple footmen had their data wiped and digital footprints erased. Obviously the two events were connected but who would go through such lengths to orchestrate all this.

They all pondered Taehyung's words until Hoseok spoke up.

"What if that whole thing was really a ploy?" Hoseok asked suspiciously. "What do you mean?" Namjoon asked curiously. "I mean what if both you and Hyori were both played. Taehyung answer me this, did you ever see the cops or hear the sirens?" Hoseok asked. "Well now that you mention it.. no." Taehyung answered. "We know for a fact cops were in the area, but that could've been from Taehyung's loud ass gun. We never truly looked into the cops movements at that time. I have a feeling you and Hyori were both set up. I think another organization has come into play to disrupt the power dynamic between us, Hyori's people. I know it might sound outlandish but it makes sense." Hoseok announced.

Namjoon took in Hoseok's words carefully and while it was definitely out there, his theory made sense in the scheme of things.

"Hey Hoseok, you remember that shipment of weapon parts that went missing a couple months back that almost cause a conflict between us and the inner circle? They were struggling against a war with the hive and needed or resources and in return we'd get their information networks. It was a stroke of luck that the shipment was found right before being tossed in the ocean but if it hadn't been, we would've been at war right now." Yoongi said as he stood up and walked towards Hoseok.

"I think I get where you're going with this.." Hoseok said observantly. "We don't fuck up on things like that. I don't fuck up on things like that. It had always felt suspicious but this confirms it. Hoseok just might be right. Someone wants war between us. They'll come in when we're at our weakest and knock us off the chess board." Yoongi said angrily.

"This is intriguing. My guess now is that Taehyung was either meant to be used as a bargaining chip for someone else or they meant to kill him and frame it on another group. They know we'll ride at dawn for our brethren." Namjoon responded.

"What's our next move boss?" Yoongi asked.

Namjoon began looking at the monitors around him when his eye caught a certain one that held security footage. He could see Jin smiling while playing ping pong with Jimin. He could feel the tension in him loosening up.

"For this moment forward. The red bullet has effective immediately begun to fight back."
