The Voltron show

Today Voltron was helping to install a few things at some hospital on some planet. Ulaz was dropping Regris off at the hospital for further testing after the young Blade came out of the healing pod. Kolivian would eventually pick him up once he was fully healed. Right now, you and your lovers were with the Paladins back stage because they were going to put on a play. Regris was sitting with all the other patients, waiting for the show to start.

"Everyone check your wrist devices, I've uploaded a script on them." Coran told the Paladins.

The Paladins checked the scripts on their wrist devices. You were happy that you weren't apart of the play they were putting on.

"What is this?" Hunk asked Coran.

"Yeah, there's barely anyone out there." Lance added.

"I scaled down the show so we can do it indoors for the patients. You know, to lift their spirits." Coran told the Paladins.

"This isn't even scientifically accurate." Pidge said, reading her script.

"Well this is the legend of Voltron. Not the documentary of Voltron. Speaking of which, Y/n, you'll be playing Keith." Coran said, looking at you and giving you a wrist device.

"What?! I don't look anything like Keith!" You said in shock, unable to believe your ears.

"The word of Keith leaving the team hasn't really spread yet, so I didn't want to confuse anyone. Besides, playing Keith is easy. Just act really moody." Coran told you.

You frowned and scoffed at Coran. You absolutely hated the idea of playing the angsty teen.

"There, you've done it! Now come on, everyone in positions. And follow the script." Coran said, walking to the front of the stage.

You and the Paladins groaned as you all got into position. Thace and Ulaz wished you all luck as they hid out of the way.

"Ladies and gentlealiens. Bear witness as the Paladins of Voltron attack Zarkon's base to save helpless Princess Allura!" Coran said as the spotlight turned on and the curtain was pulled back.

Shiro was nearly blinded as the spotlight was pointed directly at him. You were super nervous even though no one was looking at you yet. The patients looked up at Shiro, waiting for him to say something.

"Shiro, you're on." Coran whispered.

"Um, I will save the Princess, even if it means taking on the Galra Empire with my bare hand." Shiro said awkwardly, reading his script.

"You don't have to do it alone because you'll have me, Hunk." Hunk said as he walked into the spotlight.

"And me, Pidge." Pidge said, looking down at her script while walking into the light.

"And me, Lance. Holds Bayard dashingly- Oh." Lance said, realizing that he needed to actually hold his Bayard instead of saying it.

"And me, Keith." You said, a huge frown on your face as you walked into the spotlight.

"Thank you team, for always being by my side through thick or thin. Now come along, together we'll-" Shiro said, flipping to the next part of his script.

"Defeat Zarkon!" You and the Paladins said at the same time, Lance posing with his Bayard.

"My heros." Allura said as she walked out onto the stage, looking annoyed.

Just then, the regular lights came on and the spotlight was turned off. You were thankful that the play was finally over even though it was short. You looked at the crowd and saw that everyone was gone except for Regris, and he was asleep.

"Well that bombed." Hunk said in disappointment.

"Yeah, speaking of bombs, we need to get back to doing air shows with explosions and lasers, and bombs!" Lance said as he followed you and the other Paladins off of the stage.

After leaving the hospital and visiting another planet Coran called everyone to the observation deck for a meeting. You hoped that there weren't going to be any more plays.

"I'm really sorry about that." Coran said sadly.

"Coran, if we're going to expand the coalition in the short amount of time we have we can't afford these kind of mistakes." Shiro told Coran.

"That last show was pretty lame. I don't know if you're cut out to be managing this whole thing." Lance added.

"Just give me one more chance. I promise to turn it around." Coran said, wanting to make things better.

Everyone agreed to give Coran one more chance. You didn't like the idea of playing Keith again, but you wanted to help out. That night after everyone went to bed Thace and Ulaz cheered you up, if you know what I mean.

"Yeah, it's official. We've hit rock bottom." Pidge said the next day when Coran brought everyone back to the space mall.

"Yeah, I don't know if this is out to the widest audience." Shiro said, having a look around the mall.

"Oh my Primus, this is going to be embarrassing." You said, hiding your face with your hands.

"Shiro, baby. You're right. And I want what you want, man. But I've had some new ideas, some realizations. What we have to do is broadcast a show across an entire galaxy. We could reach the largest viewership in the history of intergalactic showbiz." Coran said, getting up in Shiro's personal space.

"Ah yeah!" Lance said happily.

"But we need to workshop some things before we can take it to the next level. You with me, kid?" Coran asked, moving over to Pidge.

"You seem different." Pidge scoffed.

"You mean better. Look, it's my mission to make sure our message really sings. Beautiful aliens from here to Vlexla will know your name. And your coalition will put Zarkon's armor to shame." Coran said proudly.

"Well, it rhymes. So it must be true." Hunk said.

"I guess we'll give it a try." Shiro said, not ready for another play.

Coran smiled as he led you and the other Paladins to the large stage. Thace and Ulaz went to get a few things for you. Thankfully, they were able to make it on time for the play to start.

"Okay, we've got their attention, which is great but we need to add the theatrical element to expand. If you follow my guidelines you'll be fine. Rule number one, never walk onto stage. Leap onto stage! Roll onto stage! I'm talking explode onto stage!" Coran said dramatically.

"Aw yeah!" Lance said happily.

Everyone got into position and Coran went to the side of the stage. You hoped this play would go better than the last.

"Oh no! A laser-eyed monster! We need the Paladins of Voltron!" Coran said, starting the play.

Some dramatic music began playing, making more people stop by. Everyone, including you, leapt onto the stage and posed for the crowd.

"Your times up, monster!" Lance said loudly.

The crowd cheered as Lance said his first line. You were shocked that they liked the show so far. Thace and Ulaz gave you a reassuring smile, letting you know that you were doing good. After the first scene Coran closed the curtains.

"Don't just say your lines, you got to shout your lines! Remember, louder is better!" Coran said before the play continued.

"Keith, I need your help!" Lance shouted as the play started up again.

"I'm on it!" You shouted back.

"It's firing lasers!" Hunk shouted.

The robot monster's light began flashing. You saw a kid in the front row of the crowd hide behind his mother. After the second scene ended Coran closed the curtains again.

"And finally, strike a pose after every movement! Everyone loves a pose!" Coran said before he went to reopen the curtains.

The Paladins began attacking the robot with their Bayards. You didn't have a Bayard, but Coran gave you some kind of paintball gun. After the robot was defeated you and the Paladins struck a team pose.

"Join the Voltron coalition, we need you!" Coran said from off stage.

"I would like to join the Voltron coalition!" An alien said enthusiastically.

The crowd began cheering and whistling. After a few moments you and the Paladins walked back stage. Thace and Ulaz went to meet up with you now that the show was done. Afterwards, they took you to do a little more shopping.

You were nervous for this show because it was Voltron on ice. You didn't get much experience ice skating. Ulaz reassured you that if you broke any bones that he and Thace would nurse you back to health.

"Hello Bi Bos and Bi Bo Bies! Tonight the Paladins of Voltron will take on Zarkon on ice!" Coran said loudly through his headset.

"Bi bo bi bos! Bi bi bi Paladins of Voltron bi bi bi Zarkon, bi boh!" Bi Boh Bi shouted through his headset.

"Oh no, it's Zarkon and the evil witch Haggar!" Coran said dramatically.

"Bi boh bi bi Zarkon. Bi boh boh bi Haggar!" Bi Boh Bi said to the crowd as a Bi boh bi version of Zarkon and Haggar appeared.

"It is I, the greatest force of evil this universe has ever seen!" Bi boh bi Zarkon said.

"Sire, soon you will defeat the Paladins and Voltron will be yours." Bi boh bi Haggar said.

"My suit is not that purple." Zarkon said from the place where he and Haggar were sitting, using opera glasses to see the show.

"Of course not, my husband." Haggar said, keeping her voice down so that no one would know that they were there on a date night.

"Not if I have some to say about it! Die Zarkon!" Hunk said as he skated out onto the ice, immediately slipped and falling down in between the bi boh bi Haggar and Zarkon.

The crowd began laughing as Hunk slid across the ice. You hoped that he wasn't injured.

"Look, it's Pidge!" Coran said as the spotlight moved to her.

"Don't worry Hunk, I have your back." Pidge said as she skated out onto the ice.

"She'll use her math and calculations to defeat Zarkon." Coran announced.

Bi boh bi said something as Pidge skated out to the center of the ice ring. Bi boh bi Haggar tossed a smoke bomb and streamers to stop Pidge. Pidge fell down onto the ice.

"Oh no! The witch's magic has counteracted Pidge's math! What are they going to do?" Coran said, winking at Bi Boh Bi.

Bi Boh Bi moved more spotlights over to you, Shiro and Lance as dramatic music began playing. Bi boh bi Haggar and Zarkon turned to face the three of you.

"We need teamwork! The only way to defeat Zarkon is with Voltron!" Shiro announced as he, Lance and you posed.

Hunk and Pidge got up and added to the team pose. The crowd cheered and lasers began shining. You and the Paladins put boxes that looked like the lions on and 'formed Voltron', making the crowd go wild.

"Does anybody feel kinda stupid right now?" Hunk quietly asked.

"Shut up Hunk, they're loving us." Lance said.

Hunk and Lance crawled over to the bi boh bi Zarkon and Haggar. You and Pidge opened your boxes's mouths and shot confetti out.

"I'll get you next time!" Bi boh bi Zarkon shouted as wires carried him and bi boh bi Haggar away.

The crowd cheered as the play ended. Once you and the Paladins got off of the ice Thace and Ulaz came to greet you. You were tired after the show, but at least you didn't break any bones.

"How many more shows do we have to put on?" Pidge asked Shiro.

"I know they seem humiliating, but Coran's ideas are working. Every performance draws more people to the cause." Shiro replied.

"Exactly, all that stuff." Lance said as he signed autographs to a bunch of bi boh bi girls before Coran pushed them out of the room.

"Okay, let's go. Come on, we've got business to discuss. First of all, great job. Tonight was a big success. Now we're back on track, better than ever. There's no doubt about it, you're stars. But to go supernova you gotta push it even further." Coran said with excitement.

"Isn't supernova an exploding star?" Pidge asked Coran.

"It's brighter than that! Here's the deal, I've worked up very specific personas for each of you. This is gonna help the audience connect with each of you on a deeper level with each team member. There's lover boy Lance." Coran said.

"Lover boy Lance? It's perfect because it's true." Lance said smoothly.

"You're science wiz Pidge. Woah, look out big brain. You're lone wolf Keith, that's you because you're Keith. And I'm thinking your catch phrase can be 'howl'." Coran said, moving to Pidge and then you.

You made a very angry sound, making Coran back off. Thace and Ulaz noticed your distress and growled at Coran.

"Uh, never mind. Hunk, from now on you'll be humorous Hunk. And last but not least, Shiro the hero!" Coran said, moving from you, to Hunk, to Shiro.

Pidge didn't like where this was going. Neither did Ulaz and Thace. You were getting tired of all these shows. Thankfully, Allura offered to take your place.

After the last show and the brain worm was removed by Bi Boh Bi there were no more shows. You and the other Paladins were glad that Coran was back to normal.

"I'm so sorry guys, I shouldn't have trusted that strange Unilu. Looking back it seems like an obviously bad idea." Coran said, apologizing to everyone.

"Yeah, worm pills, gross." Lance said with disgust.

"I didn't mean to take us this far off mission." Coran said.

"Well, believe it or not the plan worked. The coalition is bigger than ever." Shiro said, pulling up a map.

"What, really?" Hunk asked Shiro.

"That's great." You said happily.

"The more people who fight against Zarkon, the better." Thace said.
