Prologue
Tonight you were sneaking outside to look at the stars after your parents went to bed, even though you weren't supposed to. You loved looking up at the night sky and wondering if there was life beyond Earth. Someday you wanted to join the Galaxy Garrison, but your parents wanted you to have a normal job. You knew that you would be in big trouble if your parents knew you were sneaking out at night; you were only ten, but you didn't care that you were breaking a rule. Sneaking out after your parents went to bed was always worth it; besides, you weren't doing anything wrong.
Once you got to your favorite spot and sat down, you looked up at all the stars in the sky. The moon was full which meant it gave off enough light to barely see anything outside, but it was enough for you to see your surroundings. The crickets chirped loudly and you could hear the sounds of an occasional car driving by. While you were sitting, you suddenly saw something enter Earth's atmosphere.
"What the-?" You asked out loud, seeing whatever it was landing on the ground.
The ship appeared to land behind a hill just outside the city limits, so you decided to go check it out. After a while of searching, you found a real alien ship. The door was open, but you knew better than to go in. You were about to go home when you suddenly felt afraid; you knew that if you were captured, you wouldn't be able to go home. As for the two Galra who were in the ship, they were sent on a mission to Earth.
"Well, look what we have here." Prorok sneered as he stood right behind you, a sinister grin appearing on his face.
You felt a cold sweat when you heard a deep voice behind you, automatically knowing that you were in trouble. You didn't know what to do, so you just stood perfectly still. Prorok was losing his patience, so he roughly picked you up, not caring how fragile you were. If he couldn't find the Blue Lion, he could bring a slave back to Galra Central Command.
"Hey, let me go!" You yelped as you felt him pick you up from the back of your shirt, trying to throw a punch but failing.
"I'm afraid not. Emperor Zarkon will be pleased that I brought back a prisoner." Prorok spoke proudly as he carried you into his ship, rolling his pupiless eyes.
"Let me go! Let me go!" You screamed in fear, breaking out in a nervous sweat and feeling as though you were going to cry.
Prorok ignored your screams as he carried you into his ship, knowing that you would need training. He dropped you into a metal cage, closed its door and locked it before he walked to the cockpit. You sat in the cage and cried as you felt the ship start up, too afraid to do anything else. You knew that you would probably never go home again and that you were probably going to get killed or something; little did you know that you were starting the adventure of a lifetime. For the time being though, you were in trouble.
