After a while Sam gave the pod controls to Ulaz so he could go to sleep. Ulaz had been taking a nap so that he could be well rested. You couldn't sleep, so you came out of the back of the pod and sat in the passenger seat. You just sat there and looked out the window.

"Something is on your mind." Ulaz said, glancing at you.

"I guess… I just can't believe that we're actually going to Earth. I've spent almost half of my life in space. It's funny, when I was younger I wanted to join the Galaxy Garrison and explore space. I never expected to be captured by aliens, get exposed to quintessence, get rescued and be apart of Team Voltron." You said, looking at him.

"I see. Do you regret what happened to you?" Ulaz asked you.

"The getting captured and tested on, yes. Meeting you, Thace and the Paladins, no." You said, smiling at him.

Ulaz smiled, happy that you didn't regret meeting him and Thace. You handed him a bag of the strange jerky, knowing that he would be hungry. As he flew through space you started to feel a bit sleepy. You ended up falling asleep after a while.

While Thace was flying the pod he entered the Milky way galaxy. After a while he saw a green and blue planet.

"Y/n, is that Earth?" Thace called from the front of the pod.

"Hold on, let me see- Yeah, that's Earth." You said, your eyes widening when you saw your home world.

Thace noticed how quiet you were as you sat in the passenger seat. As he flew into Earth's atmosphere the pod protected you all from burning up. The Galaxy Garrison's coordinates were already programmed into the pod's system. The pod shook a little as it finally entered Earth. You went to the back and Sam took your place in the passenger seat.

Thace went to the coordinates and found a landing strip. When some of the staff saw an unknown pod heading towards the Garrison they called Iverson and Sandra. As expected, there were a bunch of scientists and soldiers waiting. As soon as the pod opened up Sam stepped out.

"Commander Holt, what is the meaning of this?" Iverson asked Sam.

You, Thace and Ulaz came out, making everyone gasp in surprise. The soldiers pointed their guns right at Thace and Ulaz. You stood in front of them, shielding them from any attacks.

"Commander Holt, you came back here with aliens and an unauthorized person?" Sandra asked Sam.

"Yes, but I have a good reason." Sam said, trying to get Sandra to listen to him.

"Take them to be quarantined." Sandra ordered the scientists.

The scientists moved in and led you, Sam, Thace and Ulaz into the Garrison. You were separated from them and placed in a room that only had a bed in it. You were worried about what was going to happen. When a scientist came in with a doctor they had you lay on the bed so that they could run some tests on you. You knew that Thace and Ulaz were probably going through the same thing.

"Here’s what we know. Two years ago, during your Kerberos mission, our scans picked up an anomaly at your location. Minutes later, we lost contact with you and the rest of the crew. In the immediate aftermath, we intercepted a transmission." Iverson said as he stood in front of a screen in the meeting room.

"We found these primitive scientists. I don’t think they know anything useful." A random Galra Commander's voice said.

"Take them back to the main fleet for interrogation. The Druids will find out what they know." Zarkon's voice said.

"That last voice is Zarkon, the emperor of an advanced and mostly hostile alien race known as the Galra. Thace and Ulaz are Galra, but they are apart of a rebel group called the Blade of Marmora." Sam told everyone.

"And how do you know they’re hostile?" A Garrison officer asked Sam.

"Do you have the device I asked for? The one from my pod?" Sam asked Sandra.

"Bring it to him." Sandra ordered an officer.

"Before I left, I downloaded as much information as I could from the Castle of Lions. For ten thousand years, Zarkon has been expanding his empire, conquering vast swaths of the universe and harnessing its quintessence in order to survive and maintain power." Sam said, turning the device on and showing everyone some things he downloaded.

"Quintessence?" Sandra asked.

"It’s an energy generated by living beings." Sam explained.

"You mean certain alien beings?" Another officer asked Sam.

"No. Quintessence is within us all." Sam replied.

"Impossible. We’ve never come across anything like that." A scientist said, not believing anything Sam was saying.

"Maybe because this is beyond the realm of what you think you know. Have you ever traveled faster than the speed of light? Have you ever seen a living creature bio-hack nature? Have you ever come face to face with an alien warlord who’s older than the entirety of human civilization? Well, I have."

"And I assure you, it’s all real. Following our abduction, Shiro, Matt, and I were taken by Galra scouts to the main fleet where we were interrogated and met Y/n. After that, we were split up. I spent the next year at a remote outpost, working alongside other captive scientists researching and creating new technologies to be used by the Galra. I later learned that Shiro and Matt had been sent to fight in the gladiator pits. Matt would’ve been killed, but Shiro, he saved my son’s life."

"Later, Matt was rescued from a work camp by alien rebels. He now works alongside them, fighting back against the Galra Empire. During his time on Zarkon’s command ship, Shiro discovered that Zarkon was looking for a super weapon hidden on Earth. Ulaz helped Shiro escape to get the weapon first." Sam said seriously.

"That must be when Lieutenant Shirogane returned to Earth." Iverson stated, showing a video of when Shiro landed on Earth.

"That’s right." Sam said, confirming what Iverson just said.

"Following Garrison protocol, we placed Lieutenant Takeshi Shirogane under mandatory quarantine, but he managed to escape with the aid of several Garrison cadets. We later found out the one known as Pidge Gunderson was your daughter, Katie Holt, who had illegally enrolled in the cadet program under an assumed identity. The following day, the Blue Lion appeared on our radars. Long-range sensors tracked the UFO to the edge of our solar system traveling at speeds we’ve never achieved. It disappeared along with the ship. That was the last activity we had until your pod arrived on Earth a month ago." Iverson said, showing more videos.

"So that Blue Lion, that was the super weapon?" A third officer asked Sam.

"Part of it. The super weapon is known as Voltron. It’s made up of five mechanical lions. As fate would have it, when Shiro crashed on Earth, those same Garrison students that got him out of quarantine became the pilots, or Paladins, of the five lions of Voltron. The Paladins are doing everything they can to protect the universe from the Galra Empire. But we must begin to bolster Earth’s defenses now, or we do not stand a chance; war is coming. Thace and Ulaz have come to help." Sam said, showing a hologram of Voltron.

"So this Zarkon, you think he’ll attack Earth?" Iverson asked Sam.

"No. Zarkon is dead, but the Galra Empire is not stopping. There are factions fighting for control and looking to dominate their own sections of the universe. Without a clear leader, things are worse than before." Sam said, getting somewhere.

"So what do we do?" Iverson asked Sam curiously.

"We hold a conference and announce what we know to the world." Sam replied.

"Absolutely not." Sandra snapped.

"They need to know. And if we can bring the world’s top minds together, it might mean the difference-" Sam said, getting cut off by Sandra.

"If we told the world there was an imminent attack, we’d set off a global panic." Sandra said seriously.

"But there will be an attack." Sam said.

"When? How will the attack happen? Is there a plan to stop it? None of these things have been discussed. None of these things have been thought through, and until they are, we’re not going to be responsible for sending the world into disarray." Sandra said angrily.

"Thace and Ulaz spent years undercover in the Galra Empire, they can help prepare. If you would allow me to contact Katie and the Paladins right now, we could begin to answer those questions." Sam said, insisting that he should contact the Paladins.

"Very well." Sandra said, giving Sam a chance to contact the Paladins.

"This is Sam Holt calling the Paladins of Voltron. I’m on Earth. Please respond. Pidge, this is Dad. Come in." Sam said, trying to contact Pidge.

"Katie, it’s your mom. Are you there?" Colleen asked, coming over to stand next to her husband.

"The transmission’s not being received. There might be interference. We need to keep trying." Sam said, turning the communicator off.

"We can have someone send out regular transmissions around the clock until we hear from them. But in the meantime, we stay quiet." Sandra said, still giving it a chance.

"Very well, but we should at least begin preparations." Sam said.

"We already have." Iverson told Sam.

After spending a week in quarantine a Garrison officer led you out of the metal room you were being kept in. You were worried that something bad happened to Thace and Ulaz. The officer led you to a room and gave you a keycard before leaving. You used the keycard and the door opened. As soon as the door opened you saw the two people you loved most.

"Thace! Ulaz! You're alive! I missed you both so much!" You said as you ran over to them.

Thace and Ulaz knelt down and welcomed you in a group hug. You hugged them as tight as you could, not wanting to let go. Thace and Ulaz purred loudly and nuzzled you.

"We missed you too, Y/n." Thace purred.

"Are you hurt?" Ulaz asked you.

"I'm fine now. I was so lonely." You said, crying a little.

Thace and Ulaz nuzzled you more, hoping to cheer you up. The three of you sat there and hugged for a long time. They told you what happened to them and you told them what happened to you. After a long while the three of you stopped hugging. That evening, someone brought some food for the three of you to eat.
