For this image I used the same techniques that I used for "Demons" but this time the person was looking away from the shadows and there weren't as many shadows. I didn't make it as dark to show that there is always light on the road ahead. The idea of this image is to show that sometimes things can unexpectedly surprise you but there is always light and hope that can guide you through the difficult times that lie ahead. I linked this to Munch because the fame and success from his artwork was starting to be too much and he resorted to drinking alcohol to help with his mental health issues. He recognized this problem and checked himself into a sanitarium. When he was released, his style of artwork had changed. It went from dark and depressing depictions of life, to colorful and joyful landscapes.
