"What happened to you?!" I ask. I had just noticed that Gold's got a lot of band-aids on his hand, cheeks, and neck.

"You're worried for me?" Gold asks with surprise. He smirks. "Then you must la la love me!"

"Again," I say, getting kind of annoyed. "you're one of my best friends! So of course I'm going to worry about you! So what happened?"

"Being a breeder isn't easy."
"I thought the daycare people moved to some other region?" Gold told me that the daycare people moved regions when we were about to part ways.

"Yeah, but word's gotten around about me being a breeder and now everyone's asking me to hatch their Pokémon eggs." Gold being busy? That's surprising! I thought he would just be playing video games or gambling at the game corner during his free time. "But other than these things that have been happening, life's been fun! I just got $10 000 from the game corner!" I take that back! "What about you? You stressing over anything?"

"No," I say. "w-wait a sec! I do NOT stress over ANYTHING!"

"Everything then?" He gives me his signature smirk. I look away from him, hiding my soon-to-be flustered face. For some odd reason, his smirk causes me to go all pink in the cheeks. No, not because I love him!! "Do you la la like Silver?" He asks, his smirk being even more cocky and.... and cute! I look back at him.

"What makes you think that?!"

"I see the way you la la look at him!" Gosh, he says that before every word that starts with an "L"!! "Although, if you're going to date him... you've gotta be able to survive his attitude! He can't take a joke, he hates people who talk too much, yeah."

"I never said I liked Silver!" 

"Alright, Super Serious Gal!" I look away from him again. That nickname gets me every time! "Well, gotta go! I'm meeting up with the Kimono girls at Ecruteak City!" He runs off into the distance. I stand there, flustered.
