They didn't. In fact, they were going so slow it was if time had stopped. Throughout all my classes I couldn't stop thinking about Niall. It was amazing that he didn't even know me and yet he stood up for me!

"Justice."

Ugh he's so perfect. He's such a sweetie.

"Justice."

And he's gorgeous too!

"Justice!"

I snapped out of my thoughts and back into reality.

"Huh?"

"Justice I asked you a question."

The entire class was staring at me. I looked back up at my teacher.

"W- what?"

"What is the answer to the question on the board?"

"Ummm..."

I had no clue. The writing on the board looked alien to me. I had no idea what any of it even meant! When had we learned this? What class was I even in? French? Math? I didn't know.

"I don't know sir."

"The correct answer is ten over the square root of 32 x times five y. Next time pay attention and stop day dreaming in class."

"Yes sir."

I tried to pay attention for the rest of the class but I just couldn't. Niall kept coming up in my thoughts distracting me.

Finally, finally, the lunch bell rang. I tried to grab my books quickly and rush to lunch but being the klutz that I am, I promptly knocked them all to the floor. Ignoring the looks I was getting, I stuffed my books in my bag and rushed down to the lunch room.

As soon as I got there I immediately began looking for Niall but I couldn't find him anywhere! Maybe his class got out late. Or maybe he wasn't coming? Before I could think any farther than that, I heard a voice behind me.

"Hey!"

I whipped around nearly losing my balance. It was Niall.

"Hi."

He helped steady me.

"Whoa are you OK there?"

"Yeah i'm just a bit klutzy."

"Well let's get our lunch and find where Louis is before you hurt yourself."

I just smiled and followed him into the large cafeteria.

"Ugh!" I thought, "How can I be so clumsy? And in front of Niall too! He probably thinks I'm stupid or something!

We got our lunch (It being mystery meat as it was Monday) and I followed Niall to a table where nine people were sitting. I had never seen them before.

"Hi everyone!" Niall said, "This is Justice! I thoght she could sit with us. I hope thats ok."

"Of course!" exclaimed a girl to my right. She had long brown hair and she had a kind of punk look about her. She seemed like the most outgoing of the group. I sat down in between Niall and the brunette, across from a boy with feathery brown hair.

"So Justice," Niall began, "Let me introduce you to everyone."

He gestured to the girl on the left of the boy with feathery hair.

"That's Marissa. She's dating Lou," he said pointing to the boy across from me. Marissa waved at me and Lou smiled.

"Then that's Harry Styles who's dating Denise."

He kept going on down the line.

"Then it's Linzee, who's with Liam. Then on this side of the table it's Yazmin and Zayn who are also together, and then on your right-"

"Hi! I'm Cher Lloyd!"

I giggled. She's so exuberant!

"Hi Cher. Hi everyone! Wow that's a lot of names to remember! So how do you all know each other? Did you all just meet today?" I asked.

"No," Cher said before anyone else could get a word in, "We all used to go to Manchester."

"Oh! That's the school that closed isn't it?"

"Mhm. When it closed they moved us all here."

"Oh ok! So how do you all like it here so far?"

This time Marissa answered.

"It's great! Everyone seems so nice here!"

"Maybe to you," I mumbled to myself.

"What do you mean?" Louis asked.

"Well, I get bullied a lot here. I actually thought about switching to Manchester before it closed."

"That's horrible!" Marissa exclaimed, "But, you know, I know how you feel."

"You do?"

"Yeah I used to get bullied a lot too."

I just looked at her, shocked. How could anyone bully her? She was so pretty!

Before even Cher could get another word in, the end of lunch bell rang.

"See you later everyone! Hope to see you in some of my classes Justice!" Cher said before skipping off to class.

In fact, I did see Cher later. She was in my seventh hour gym class.

"Hey Cher! Looks like we've got gym together!"

"Hi Justice! That's awesome! I-"

But before Cher could finish her sentence our gym teacher blew her whistle and told everyone to pair up into teams for badminton. For once I had someone rush up to me and ask me to be their partner.

"Of course Cher! But let me warn you, I'm pretty clumsy."

"That's okay! I don't mind!"

Our first few games went OK. We even won two! But on our 4th game, in my haste to hit the birdie, I managed to trip over my own feet and fall flat on my face.

As Cher helped me up I heard someone laughing from across the gym.

"God Justice! You're such a klutz! What is that, the twelfth time you've tripped today? Or the thirteenth?"

Jackie. Can't she leave me alone for one minute?

"Leave her alone!" Cher yelled back, "It was my fault I was in her way."

Another person standing up for me? That makes two in one day! That's super weird. What's happening?

After gym was over I rushed home to call Megan before it got too late. I just had to talk to her!

"Hey Justice!"

"Hi Megan! I hope I'm not calling you too late!"

"No, it's OK it's only nine."

"Ok good! I just have to talk to you!"

"What's happened?"

"Well today at school Jackie and the rest of her posse were tormenting me as usual but then this boy named Niall came up and told them to leave me alone! He actually stood up for me! He didn't even know me! Then he asked me to sit with him at lunch and I met a bunch of his friends. Everyone was so nice!"

"Oh my gosh! Justice that's amazing! What else happened?"

"Well during gym I fell on my face during badminton and Jackie started to make fun of me but this girl, Cher, that I met at Niall's table told her to back off! Two people in one day stood up for me when no one else had in years!"

"Justice that's awesome! I'm so happy for you! Hey, I gotta go. My mom says it's getting too late. Keep me updated!"

"Bye!"

After I hung up the phone I flopped down on my bed. Things were going to get a lot better for me from now on. I could just feel it.
