Third Person POV

Ella had woken up a bit excited. She hoped that Miki would notice her dress tonight. She texted Mae, "I wonder how tonight would turn out! It pretty much determines our school year!" She put her phone down and ran to the bathroom next to her room. Showered and got ready in some sweats and a t-shirt. She never wore tight clothing, that's why wearing a dress for the party was such a big change for her.

She picked up her phone and had a message from Mae. "Yes it will, we have to make sure not to do anything dumb. Are you coming over to get ready?" Ella started typing out her response.

"Yes I'll be on my way after lunch, I've already missed breakfast." She giggled to herself, already knowing the slick comments that her mother would pull out, and headed to the kitchen.

"Good afternoon sleepy head. Think you got enough sleep there?" Said her mother, Robyn.

"Good afternoon mom, I'm going to Mae's and I'm spending the weekend there since school starts monday." Robyn nodded.

"Ok sweety be safe love you." And she walked out of the kitchen. Ella finished her cereal and headed out to Mae's.

It was about an hour before the party and Mae was doing light makeup on Ella. Mae was so excited because any other time Ella would have never allowed her to get her this girly. She wanted to do so much, yet not too much where she'd never let her do it again.

"Not too much Mae, please.'' Mae giggled, already expecting that reaction.

"Stella, let me be, you look great and it isn't too much." They finished the last touches and turned to each other.

"Wow Mae, you look stunning! No wonder Teddy is all over you! Have fun tonight ok. I'll be okay, it isn't like I don't know anyone, you know." Mae looks at Ella.

"Yeah but if you need me you know I'll be there!" Ella nodded, knowing her friend would always be there for her. And she loved that so much about her.

"I know, new let's go, the girls are waiting." And they headed down to meet with the girls to go to the party.

On their way, Ella was nervous. She knew Miki would be there and then she also knew Red would be there since he was Teddy's best friend. But she didn't want him to overdo it. She knew he liked her but she never really liked him that way, or maybe it was the fact that she really liked Miki. She wasn't sure but Lyn hated her for Red liking her. That's someone else she had to stay clear from during that party.

They arrived at the party and as they were walking in, people were staring. Ella turned to the girls.

"Have some fun. I'm going to go get a drink." Mae nodded. But she knew Ella enough to know that she could barely hold any alcohol in her system. So she hoped she wouldn't drink too much. But she also knew the rest of them planned to as well.

"Don't drink too much, you know you can't hang." They laughed and Ella made her way to the kitchen for some punch. The spiked punch was pretty strong, She was drinking her first cup as she looked around. She noticed Red heading her way and sighed.

"Hey Ella, is that you?" Ella rolled her eyes in her head.

"Yes." She laughs awkwardly. She poured herself another cup, ignoring what Mae said. Thinking to herself that she could handle it. Knowing deep down that after that cup she shouldn't have any more. And before Red was able to speak, she said "I'm going for some air." Ella heads outside and tries looking for Miki.
