Settling In

Things to Look Out For:

(F/N) - First Name
(L/N) - Last Name
(F/C) - Favorite Color
(H/C) - Hair Color
(E/C) - Eye Color

Here's just a small guide of things that will be used frequently in the book. As the book goes on, I will update the list!

It had been 14 years, since you were left abandoned, lost, and alone. You were only 4 when your father, drunk and mentally ill, left you in a forest, only to never return. You remembered the day like it was yesterday...

"I'll be back in a couple minutes, I'm gonna collect some... wood." your father slurred, as he lazily picked up an axe and wandered off. You were sitting on a log, paitently waiting for your father to return. You looked at your clock, and it had been an hour! Did he get lost?
"Daddy..." you whispered, "Are you near?" No reply. "Daddy?" you kept looking around the area, before it started turning dark. You never spent a night without daddy, even if it meant in a tent. You had always wondered why you didn't settle in a home, like other kids your age. I guess it was because of all the strange stuff your dad drank. Which you later found out was indeed alcohol.

Now, you were 18, a adult, and willing to reside in an actual village. A place you could cal home. You grabbed your small (F/C) backpack, and placed that in your inventory. You would use all the resources in it to build the house of your dreams. Your grabbed your iron sword, saving all diamonds for money instead of armor and weapons. You walked in a different direction, before finding yourself in a lovely village. The name of the village was Phoenix Drop, and then you saw a man in armor walk up to you. His face was completely covered by a helm.
"Hello, and welcome to Phoenix Drop. Are you here to visit, or here to talk to the Lord?"
"I would like to talk to the Lord, please." you answered, not completely sure of your response.
"Very well, I can guide you to her home. My name is Garroth. If you need anything, feel free to ask me or anyone else in this village. And, here we are. Bright I know. She got some... renovations done thanks to a citizen here." he knocked on the door, and a young woman answered.
"Good day Garroth! Are you here to see me?" the woman asked you.
   "Yes, I am." you replied.
"Ah, of course! Thank you Garroth! Now, do come in, miss." she opened her door a bit more, and you walked in. Garroth left, as she closed the door. You two went downstairs, and over to a small table next to a window. "Oh! How rude am I! I'm Aphmau, the Lord of Phoenix Drop, and who may you be?"
   "Oh! My name is (F/N)!"
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you (F/N). Now, how may I help you?" she smiled warmly.
"I'm looking for a village to call my home. I've never had a place to call home, and I thought it's time. Do you have any room for me to build a house, or to be a citizen here at Phoenix Drop?" you asked her, hoping she would say yes.
"Well of course we do! I can show you right now!" she cheerfully replied. You giggled at her bright attitude, and the both of you walked through the village, before she lead you to a small area with a few houses, but some room. "Here's a nice place to start! You can change the outside of the house if you'd like, there's also a second floor, if you want to decorate that or anything. Make yourself at home, and if you need anything, feel free to visit me anytime!"
"Oh, I don't know how I could thank you!"
"No need to thank me, and welcome to your new home, (F/N)." you hugged Aphmau, and she returned it. She smiled, waving goodbye. Then, she walked back to her home, as you turned back to the house. You looked around the neighborhood, and thought it would be cool to visit them. You instantly saw a pink and white house, and smiled. This seemed friendly enough. You walked over, entering the home, and saw that it was a cafe!
"Oh, hello! Kawaii-Chan was just getting done with... Kawaii-Chan hasn't seen you here before, are you new?"
"Oh, yes! I just moved across the street from here! I thought I would visit you and the other citizens here." you answered. You assumed her name was Kawaii-Chan, as she did speak in third person. You chose not to question it.
"Nice to meet you! Kawaii-Chan is thrilled to see a new face! Kawaii-Chan would like to know you name."
   "Oh! I'm (F/N)!" you smiled.
"Nice to meet you (F/N). Kawaii-Chan is trying out a new cake recipe. Would (F/N) like to try?"
"Sure!" you answered. Kawaii-Chan cut a slice, and explained,
"Kawaii-Chan made a peach cake! Kawaii-Chan needs to know if it's good, or needs something." you nodded, taking a bite from it. Your eyes widened, the flavor bursting in your mouth.
"This is amazing, Kawaii-Chan! At least I know where to go for breakfast!"
"Kawaii-Chan is glad (F/N) likes it!"
"I'd best be going, thanks for the wonderful cake!"
"Welcome!" she smiled. You smiled, walking out of the cafe. Soon, you found yourself in front of another home, which was the same as yours. You opened it, and found a girl with fire-like hair, sewing and fixing clothes.
   "Hello! Can I help you?"
"Hi!" you smiled, "I just moved into this village, and thought it would be best to meet my neighbors."
"How wonderful! Well, I'm Cadenza, and I make dresses, clothes, things like that! Do you need any clothes?"
"I'm (F/N). And while I do need some extra clothes, I wouldn't want to over-work you!"
"Oh, it's no problem! Plus, it wouldn't take that long! I work quickly! I just need to know what color you'd want your shirt, pants, and any other accessories."
"Just black shorts, and a (F/C) shirt will do for now. Thank you, Cadenza!"
"You're welcome! Think of this as a 'Welcome to Phoenix Drop' gift!" you smiled, as left the home, and walked to the last one in the area. By the looks of it, the home had a lot of books. You opened the door, to find a girl with black glasses reading.
"Hello. How can I help you?"
"Oh, I'm not here for anything. I just moved here, and thought it would be beneficial to introduce myself. So, I'm (F/N)." you reached a hand out. She shook it, and smiled,
"I'm Emmalyn. I'm kind of a bookworm. I normally don't go out much. But, if you need help settling in, just come over."
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind." you smiled warmly. You left the house, and smiled. The people here seemed nice, that was good. You walked back to your home, and opened the door. It was very roomy here in the home. Plenty of room to start placing simple things. It was getting dark, so you made a bed with (F/C) sheets, and slept in it for the night. As you were settling into your bed, you felt safe for once. You felt nice, now knowing you had a place you could call home.
