Ben's not scared of water contrary to popular belief. He's afraid of drowning again.

He can take showers and drink water just fine. Swimming makes him a bit nervous, but he'll still do it.

He also doesn't especially love water because Jeff wrecked his laptop by poring his water on it... if Jeff was still mortal, he would have died after that.
