Chapter 2

You gave Reiner his check up. His heart rate was normal. Weight was perfectly fine. He grew an inch. And he was certainly taller than you were, 6' 1". Definitely taller. "So you have an appointment with Doctor Ackerman?"You ask. "That's right."

"Alright then. Just wait here and while I'll go get Doctor Ackerman."You inform. "Ah, I know."He says. You walk out of the patient's room and to the room that Doctor Ackerman was in. You politely knocked and heard a "come in". You go inside and see Doctor Ackerman sitting in a chair writing things down. You then see his patient.

The patient was also wearing a patient's dress. Seemed tall also. He had dark hair. He looks at you and gives you a smile. You return it with a small one. You walk over to Doctor Ackerman and look at the files. The patient's name was Bertolt Hoover.

As you went to take a closer look, Levi stops writing,"Nurse (l/n)?" "Yes, Doctor?" "How can I do my job if you're breathing on my neck?"He asks coldly. You back away realizing how close you were to him,"S-Sorry, Doctor..."You apologize as a tint of pink went across your cheeks.

"Tch."Was all he said as he continued to write. You look at Bertolt, he gives you a small smile. You return it. "Alright, Nurse (l/n) will give you your flu shot today and your next appointment would be in about 4 months. I'll see you then."Doctor Ackerman informs as he hands Bertolt his prescription.

You look on the patients file and see that their was his flu shot. You go to the sink and wash your hands. And when you finish, you dry them and go to get the syringe.

"Please forgive me if this hurts..."I say. "Don't worry about it. I get used to these."He says. You nod and you take steady breaths. You then stick the needle point into his arm. He kinda flinched then relaxed.

After that, you put the syringe into a safety bin. Put a bandage on the spot you gave him his flu shot. "Thank you, Doctor Ackerman. And thank you Nurse...?"He says almost asking your name.

"Oh, Nurse (l/n)."You say. Bertolt nods,"Thank you, Nurse (l/n)."He says as he smiled kindly. "Your welcome."You say smiling back. You two look at each other for while until Doctor Ackerman interrupts the two of you.

"Nurse. It's time to check on the next patient."Doctor Ackerman says. "R-Right."You say slightly blushing finding that the two of you were staring at each other for a few minutes.

"See you in 4 months."Bertolt says as you and Doctor Ackerman leave the room.

As soon you two close the door and walk down the hall,"Do you like Mr.Hoover?"Doctor Ackerman asks.

"What do you mean, Doctor?"You ask. "I mean do you like him in a way, dumbass."He says rather harshly. "Well, we did just meet. But I say I like him as a friend."You say.

"Right."He says almost sounding like he wasn't believing you one bit.

'Does he not believe me?' You ask yourself.

You two enter Reiner's room. And that's how it went. A regular check up.

{Time Skip}

Today was a long day. Following Doctor Ackerman as he went. Your legs were sore from all the walking all day. But, a nurse's work is never done.

All Doctor Ackerman had today was check ups. And now it was 11:46 P.M. It was time for you to go home. You go up to the front desk where Nurse Reiss was getting her things together.

"Goodnight, Nurse Reiss."You say. "You too, Nurse (L/n). Oh and by the way, how the first day?"She asks.

"Tiring."You say. Nurse Riess giggles,"Being a nurse can be tiring but after a while, you'll get used to it. Being a doctor is more tiring."She says.

"I bet."You say. Doctor Ackerman walks by heading out. "Have a goodnight, Doctor."You say. Doctor Ackerman looks at your direction and glares at you,"Tch."Was all he said and left.

"Um, Nurse Rie-"

"Just call me Krista."

"Oh okay, Krista. Is Doctor Ackerman always like this?"

"Usually. He can actually be harsh and mean, but he actually cares for what he does for a living. He goal is to make sure his patients are healthy and living."Krista says.

"But he seems so cold to me."You say.

"Yeah. He can be like that sometimes. Trust me, there were other nurses, before you, who worked besides Doctor Ackerman and barely made through a day because how mean he is."

"So what you're saying is that sooner or later I'm going to quit because how treats others?"

"Maybe. But they never really got to see how caring he could be. If there is a person here about to die from either sickness or from old age, he would actually stay in their patient's room until they passed. Even if their families were there also."

"Wow."You say amazed hearing on how caring Doctor Ackerman could be.

"Yeah. Just stick around a little longer and you'll see, (Y/n)."Krista says smiling,"Well, I have to get home before my girlfriend starts to worry about me."Krista says.

"Wait. You're a..."You say but didn't want to offend her. "Yeah. People aren't really that fond of that. People say it's a disgrace to be bisexual or gay."Krista says almost sadly,"Do you think it's wrong?"She asks.

"No! I respect those who love or like the same gender. I was just surprised to know you were bisexual. I never got to have a friend who was."You say.

"You consider me as a friend?"She asks smiling. "Yeah. People who think that being bisexual a disgrace, they can just go screw themselves."You say.

You and Krista smile. "We should hang out sometime, (Y/n)! I think you would like to meet my girlfriend."Krista says. "Yeah. I think so too. Well, better get going before your girlfriend worries."You say.

"You're right. Well, see you tomorrow, (Y/n)!"Krista says happily as she leaves.

"Bye."You say. You two get to your cars and drive off to your homes.

Today might have been tiring, but you were just happy you made a new friend.
