Long Tag Thingy
I was tagged by MerryMonster for a super long tag thing that took me nearly three HOURS to do. Bro why?
Anyway, here it is, if you want to read it you can but you do not have too as I tend to ramble.
What author was your biggest inspiration as a kid? What about now?
My biggest inspiration as a kid? Oh goodness, well I was a huge fan of J.K Rowling, Harry Potter is literally my childhood so I guess she did. Another person was, and this is gonna sound nuts but my younger sister. She was always a really good writer and I liked writing ever since I was little and I guess it just grew from there.
Where does your writing inspiration come from?
Uhhhh.... Well fan fiction is always fun, especially with characters you love with all your heart, cause with fan fiction you can do whatever you want! I have written a few original stories as well, and most of those were mystery/scary a few realistic fiction but I'm pretty bad at those. XD Honestly, my inspiration comes from my friends and whatever crazy idea enters my brain! I really like writing crossovers, those are so fun! I'm writing a couple I might publish one day.
What is your earliest writing related memory?
Hmm, in first grade I think, I would write stories, it was like a mini series called: The Bunny and Puppy, Adventures of Kayla and Jake. Ahh, good times even though my art was terrible.
How would you describe your writing style?
Depends on my mood really, if I'm in the right mood I could write fluff and cute stuff, put me in a darker mood and I can write some gruesome death scenes >:) muhahahahahahaha
Heheh sorry... But yeah.
What's your favorite piece of work by you and why?
I'm very proud of my stories 'What About Me?' and 'When the Lights Go Out' those were SO much fun to write, even though they're quite dark, and the support I received on those stories were absolutely incredible and I couldn't thank my readers enough. I also just really love Derp Ssundee so maybe I'll write like an ongoing series with him and the gang one day, that'd be really fun! It could be like a TV show kinda book, I've read two of those and I enjoyed them so much. One of them is called Insanity by the beautiful Ripples10660 and the other was a supernatural crossover with youtubers called paranormal investigation by minecat check them out they're both amazing!
What type of writing do you prefer? (i.e. short stories, novels, poetry, etc.) Which genre is your favorite to write in?
Like I said before I'm a huge fan of mystery, scary, cutsie little adventure stuff (which I actually have a book of. Pixelmutant, if you wanna check it out. I wrote it in... 8th grade I think and it's pretty short but the concept is cute... Yet dark... Damn it. XD it's only the first book, I have to write the second one yet. So yeah!) I'm bad at poetry and am okay with everything else I think. Oh! Hate historical fiction, no.
How do you take constructive criticism? Are you sensitive to it, or do you generally just use it to learn from?
Constructive criticism is perfectly fine with me, I've just had a few times where I got some hate from some asshole, my sister told him off though :-D gosh I love her. But yeah, constructive criticism is fine on my channel!
How old were you when you wrote your first novel, short story, etc.? How many have you written since then?
Umm, does my Puppy and Bunny book count? Cause I was like 6 or 7. And how many have I written since then. A lot, too many to count.
Do you make your own covers?
Depends on the book, some I just used google images and added words to it (I can't art for my life... I barley passed with a D+), a few times I asked some readers to make their own covers and submit them (which is always fun) or my friend will help me make some. I love you couch!
How do you stay motivated to write, and how do you get yourself out of writer's' block?
What is this motivation you speak of...? XD jk.
The way I stay motivated is a couple ways. I like making my readers happy with an update, I always love seeing a book I love getting updated! So I want to share that love with the people who read my books! Also, I like seeing where I can go with my stories, it's so much fun coming up with stuff. Getting out of writer's block is hard, I try listening to music, researching maybe what I'm writing about, read stories of other people and I watch youtube. If you want really good writing music to write to, go subscribe to HDSounDI, they have amazing music. I love it so much! Go, go subscribe to them now.
Briefly describe your favorite characters that you've created and their role in your story/stories. What makes them your favorite?
Favorite OC... Plz don't make me chose one of my children... Wait it says stories! Okay that makes it easier, probably Rin from my story Ssundee in Slender and Ssundee in Slender 2. He is a beautiful little cupcake that needs hugs and snuggles. He is basically a kid in a full grown person's body, he is very innocent and a lot of stuff goes over his head but he's adorable so that makes up for it. He is one of the twin brothers in those stories who brought Ian and Mia to his world to help him save his family, who the only one alive is his brother as far as we know so yeah. I love him. He looks like this his brother is the one in green. I used rinmaru to make them, love that website.
Do your stories consist of more dialogue or detail, or is it a good balance?
I like trying to make it balanced but I think that it tends to do a bit more dialogue which I'm perfectly fine with because I like having characters react with each other. But detail is fun too... I love them both.
What do you think you do best with writing, and what do you want to improve on?
I'm not really sure what I'm best at... Molly! Hey Molly! What am I good at when it comes to writing? ...
She says I'm really good with my characterization, which I can't argue with, I love my characters. And she says I need to add a bit more humor into my stories -_- I've been doing better! Personally I think I need to improve my explaining the setting and surroundings but I guess this one is up to my readers.
Do you prefer to write in first person, second person, or third person?
Ohh... This one is hard... Second person is like when you use you right? I'm gonna go with that. Um, I don't hate second person but I'm not a huge fan. I like reading it but writing it is a bit hard. Third person and First person are sooo fun! I tend to write in First person but my friends are helping me learn the greatness that is writing in third person so I'm experimenting with it. But First person is my usual go to.
When you write, do you have any routines that help you (i.e. Any food/drinks you have during your session, music you listen to, etc)?
I REALLY love chocolate milk when writing! I also really enjoy music. In one of my questions above I mentioned a youtuber who makes incredible music! So I listen to that, and a lot of the time I just daydream about where I want the story to go, I will plan out different scenarios and see which one I like best.
At what time of the day do you prefer to write?
Whenever I can, honestly. A lot of people say at night really late, or the morning, I don't care. If I have the time and the motivation and the ideas I'll just go. At sleepovers with my friends they're all up and typing on their laptops and I'm always the first one asleep. ALWAYS! I try so hard... But I can't do it...
What other hobbies do you have besides writing?
Reading XD I also co-own a contest channel on wattpad which is super fun. Let's see... I like youtube, hanging with my friends and sister. They're a riot XD we have a lot of fun. I also have school and a job so yeah.
How long does it take you to write a story? Do you write one at a time, or do you switch between one at a time?
I'm sad to say this but it takes me a long time to write a story and part of that is because I write so many at one time which I have to stop doing, honestly it's slowly killing me. So once I finish some of the books I'm writing, I may not post something for awhile just to writing a bunch (maybe even a full story) and then update it during intervals or something... I'm rambling. Sorry. But it takes me awhile and I switch between.
Have you ever written inside a public place like Starbucks or Barnes and Noble? If so, how'd it go?
Yes actually and it was a blast! I took my friends and sister to a cafe in our town called roots where we all sat on a couch and table and wrote for dayz! It was a lot of fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Have you ever participated in a NaNoWriMo event?
... I don't know what this is. Someone please tell me.
What piece of advice could you give to another writer?
It's gonna be hard, but don't give up. Things and people might try to drag you down saying you can't but quoting our lovely Shia Labeouf; "Just do it! Make your dreams come true!" It will all be worth it in the end. Trust me.
What are your goals for views, comments, and votes on your story/stories this year?
I honestly have none. I just want the comments of people saying that my stories somehow made their day better, other than that I'm on here for really the fun and my own way to get my ideas out in the world. When I first started Wattpad my goal was to get big, but as I grew and read more and wrote more I discovered that that's not what I really want. I've met so many people through wattpad that I love with all my heart and love talking too, I wouldn't trade that for getting big. Good friends are way more worth than being popular. Nuff said.
Do you have any idea about what your next writing project might be? If so, can you tell us a little bit about it?
Should I? Yeah, I will. I have a couple projects but the one I'm most excited for is a crossover between the Lockdown Series by: Alexander Gordon Smith and Youtubers of the minecraft and gaming category. I'm a couple chapters in and I'm loving it! It's a five book series and it's going to have similarities and differences but I love that series so much and I thought maybe I could make a cool crossover fan fiction out of it. Now that won't be up for a long time, sorry guys but I want to finish other stuff on my page and then I'll post it :3
What do you want to have achieved by the end of 2016, writing wise?
I really want to have Ssundee in Slender 2 and Don't Go Resetting My Heart finished. They're so much fun and I'll be sad to finish them but good things have to end sometime. I also want to try to get some updates out for my other stories that I haven't updated in a long time. I have one for Cousin to Bro in the works and I know what the next chapter for Pain that Shows is going to be I just have to get off my ass and do it.
Oh my goodness this took me waaaaayyy to long. I'm not going to tag anyone because it took so long but if you want to do it go right ahead! Anyway I hope you learned a bit about me and I'm gonna go before my chromebook dies. Byyye my children!
