Chapter 24
I sat on one of the three couches in Cally's living room. We were watching one of Cally's animes and eating popcorn. "Oh! This is the best part!" She exclaimed and grabbed a handful of popcorn.
As I watched the TV I sunk lower and lower into my seat. A tall man in a suit, someone named Sebastian, was leaning over the yound boy. Ciel, I think it was.
The boy was asleep and the man was smiling at him, his eyes changing to a pinkish color and his pupils going to slits. He pulled the eyepatch from the boy's eye, revealing the weird symbol that resided under it and moved closer. "I thought you said this wasn't yaoi..." I mumbled.
"It's not. You'll see." Cally shushed me.
The screen went black and the man said, "Now then, young master." Then the anime ended and she jumped up, pulling out another case. "Wait, there's more?" I asked.
She grinned. "Yup!"
I mentally groaned. It wasn't that I disliked the anime, I actually found it quite interesting. I just found it odd that there was another season. I mean, it looked like it was supposed to end.
She was about to put in the next disk when the doorbell rang. I knew who it was and jumped up. "I'll get it!" I said, grabbing my crutches.
Cally chuckled and watched me hop out of the room. I pulled the door open and wrapped my good arm around Marcus. He laughed. "Is Cally torturing you that much?"
I nodded into his chest. "Yes."
"I am not!" Cally shouted from the living room.
We laughed and I pulled away to let Marcus inside. We walked back into the living room and the next disk was up and ready to get watched. Marcus slipped an arm around my waist. "You are not making my boyfriend watch that." He said.
I blushed at the notion of being his boyfriend and Cally grinned. She pulled out another case. "What about this one then?"
I read the title, immediately recognizing it and glaring at her, my face turnig a ripe tomato to shame. "Absolutely not."
She giggled. "Why? Is it too much for your young yaoi brain?"
I rolled my eyes and turned back to Marcus. "Ignore her."
He looked confused but, shrugged. "Fine with me. Wanna go to your room?"
I smiled and nodded. We told Cally not to follow us and headed for the stairs. I stepped up wth my good leg and pulled myself up. "Sorry if it takes me a little longer. I'm still not good at going up stairs."
Marcus frowned and watched me go slowly upward. Then he asked, "Do you trust me?"
I raised an eyebrow. "I suppose. Why do- Whoa!"
He swiftly picked me up and I wobbled around to gain my balance. He chuckled and took my crutches, holding them in one hand. His other arm wrapped around me, keeping me steady as he carried me up the stairs.
When we got to the top he set me down and handed me my crutches with a smile. "You okay? Hope it wasn't too bumpy."
I frowned. "I'm fine just warn a person next time."
He laughed. "I did warn you. I asked you if you trusted me and you said yes. I wouldn't hurt you."
I scoffed and hopped my way down the hall. We got to my room and I pushed the door open, going over and sitting on my bed.
"So. What have you been up to these past few days? I haven't seen you in like a week." I said.
He shrugged. "School. As much as I wish I could stay here with you, I am forced to go learn crap that I'll never use. A waste of time as far as I'm concerned."
I laughed. "Yeah. Then Satan said, 'Let's put the alphabet in math!'." We both started laughing. "You got that right." Marcus said through his laughter. "Who ever thought that was a good idea?"
I chuckled. "I just told you. Satan did. He was just disguised as a man."
We laughed for a while before calming down. Marcus smiled at me. "What about you? With your leg and arm broken you haven't been to school in a while."
I stared up at the ceiling. "It's kind of boring, to be honest. I'm alone until Cally gets home during school days and then when she does get home it's an hour or two before she's done with her homework."
He sat down next to me and put his arms around me loosely. "Aw! Is my baby lonely?" He asked.
I blushed at the pet name and turned away. "No. I'm absolutely fine. No need to get worried on my account."
He leaned towards me and put his lips by my ear. "Are you lonely? I can keep you company as long as you want." He whispered.
I shivered at the suggestion in his voice. "I'm fi-"
"Are you sure?" He purred cutting me off, his arms tightening around my waist. Suddenly, he flipped me on my back, hovering over me.
I swallowed nervously. He grinned and dipped down to kiss me, his hands running through my hair. I moaned into the kiss and closed my eyes. He'd kissed me several times since I had told him my feelings but, we'd yet to do anything more than that.
He pulled away and kissed up my neck. I was so distracted by his kisses I didn't hear Cally call us until I heard the stairs creak and started squirming frantically. "Marcus! We can't! Cally is still here!"
He shook his head into my neck and kept kissing me. "Just be quiet. She won't hear."
"But-" He kissed me again and I heard a nock on the door. "Hey, my mom wants to know what you guys want for lunch."
I tore away from the kiss. "Just a minute, Cally!" It turned back to Marcus and hissed. "Cut it out! She's gonna hear!"
He groaned and sat up, a pout on his face. I quickly fixed my hair and glanced in the mirror. My lips were a little swollen but, other than that I was okay.
I ran to the door and opened it. "Sorry, Cally. I was trying to," I glanced around for an excuse. "...find my pillow."
Cally raised an eyebrow and glanced at Marcus. He shrugged and I smiled to hide my embarrassment. "What did you need?"
She shook her head, grinning. "Sorry for interrupting. My mom was just asking if you wanted her to pick up any lunch on her way home."
I blushed, realizing she knew what had conspired in the last few minutes. "Um, anything is fine." I mumbled.
Marcus shrugged. "What he said."
She chuckled. "You guys are no help at all!" She put her phone to her ear and said a quick, "Just get Chick-fil-a." A pause. "Like three kids meals." Another pause. "Yeah, okay. Bye, mom!"
She hung up and turned back to us. "Okay, so do you guys want to play a borad game?"
Marcus was about to reply with no but, I cut him off. "Sure! What do you have?"
He frowned but, I ignored him. I knew what he wanted but, I wasn't ready for that and I'd keep making excuses until I was. I followed Cally out of the room and into the game room.
Marcus followed. He didn't look very happy. We decided to play Sorry! and quickly set it up. We laughed while we played but, I could feel Marcus wasn't all that interested in the game.
The sun went down and Marcus got a call from his mother, telling him he needed to come home. We went downstairs and Cally said goodbye before running to set up the TV for more anime.
I stood awkwardly by the door. "So, I'll see you soon?" I said, smiling.
He shrugged. "Yeah. I'm not busy tomorrow so if you want I could drop by."
I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I'd like that."
He smiled and leaned forward. I closed my eyes and felt his lips brush mine. "Goodnight." He said softly.
He pulled away and I suddenly felt cold. He started walking down the steps away from me and I frowned. It took me a split second to make up my mind and I ran forward. "Marcus, wait!"
I hugged his back and I felt him relax into me. I took a deep breath. "Can... Can you wait until I get my cast off?"
He tensed a little and I went on. "I know you're upset about it and I'm sorry but, I want you to wait just a little longer. Then I promise you can do it. Okay?"
He pulled me around to face him and I didn't think I'd ever seen him so happy before. "I'll wait a million years for you. You're the most wonderful thing in the world and I'd do anything to make you happy."
I couldn't help the smile that tugged on my lips. He pulled me into a hug and I relaxed completely. "Thank you."
