Chapter 16

The next day at school was a hard one. I did my best to keep my ears and cheeks cool while standing anywhere near Marcus. But, that bastard seemed to find it funny to piss me off.

Everytime he saw me he'd do something to remind me of the day before, like sticking his tongue out or blowing me a kiss. He was getting on my nerves.

Why on earth do I love that jerk?

I got to my last class, sciene, and sighed. I had been trying so hard to ignore Marcus that I hadn't really been paying attention in class. I knew generally what we learned but, it wasn't specific.

I sat down and closed my eyes. "Hey! You're Eliot, right?" My eyes popped open and I turned sideways. There was a girl smiling at me. I raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, why?" I never got talked to.

She sighed in relief. "I'm Cally. I'm getting put as your new lab partner because your old one moved and transferred to a new school."

I frowned. I didn't know that. "Oh. Nice to meet you." I turned back and closed my eyes again.

"That's all? I'm supposed to be your partner for the rest of the year and that's all you say? 'Nice to meet you'?"

I frowned and glanced at her. "Well, I'm not used to meeting new people because I don't really have friends."

"No wonder." She sighed and held out her hand. "Let's start over. Hi, I'm Cally. What's your name?"

I took her hand and shook it. "Eliot."

She grinned. "Nice to meet you, Eliot. Hope we can be friends as well as partners!"

I couldn't help but, smile. "Me too. So, how good are you at biology? We're working on the human body."

She shrugged. "If you mean how much porn I've watched then I'm pretty sure I'll do well in this class."

I blushed and glared at her. She laughed. "You know, you're kinda cute. The red makes it even better."

I rolled my eyes and turned away rubbing my cheeks to cool them down. She sat down in the empty seat next to me and pulled out a book. I took a sideways peek at it and saw it was a comic book. "You read comics?"

She turned to me, looking almost offended. "This is not a comic book." I raised an eyebrow. "It's called manga. There is a big difference." She said.

I frowned. "How? You just read it backwards."

She let out an exasperated sigh. "What is wrong with the non-otaku part of the planet? Manga has a completely different type of art and speech. Its also made by the lovely Japanese people who know how to make a good yaoi book."

I tilted my head in confusion. "Yaoi?"

She stared at me then a huge smile crossed her face. "Meet me behind the school after class."

I was going to ask her why but, the teacher walked in and I had to turn back to the front and pay attention. I caught Cally glancing at me and giggling all through class and I started to get nervous.

Is this some prank that she's in on? Should I go?

In the end I still went. I stepped outside and walked around to the back. I wasn't going to meet up with Marcus anyways. He made me mad so he could suffer and day without me.

I poked my head around the back corner of the school and looked around. I didn't see Cally and I sighed. I was about to walk away when I heard her voice. "Eliot! Over here!"

I turned to where I'd heard her and saw the hyper girl sitting under a tree. I walked over and stood there awkwardly. "So, what did you want to talk about?"

She grinned. "Sit down! You'll kill your feet if you stand. I can be a chatter box."

I sighed and sat down. She waited for me to get settled before he grabbed her backpack and pulled out a book. "What is yaoi? This is yaoi!" She shoved the book into my face, open to a page.

I leaned back to see it and frowned. Then my face went red and I looked anywhere but, the book. "Oh..."

The book showed a couple of boys. Doing stuff. It was very embarrassing to look at and I coughed. "That's... interesting."

She smiled. "I love yaoi! It's the best thing in the whole world! The Japanese are amazing people for inventing my favorite thing ever!"

I nodded politely. "Oh. So, it's... gay people?"

She frowned. "No. Not 'people'. Boys! Gay boys! 'People' would be yaoi and yuri. This is just yaoi."

I was quiet while she continued to ramble on about whatever it was that made yaoi so great. I was trying not to listen. It was so explicit according to her book.

Someone please kill me...

"So, are you a yaoi boy?"

I frowned and glanced at her. "A what?"

She rolled her eyes. "A yaoi boy. Do you like boys or girls? I personally think gay boys are the cutest and I think you'd be really cute with a boyfriend."

I blushed and Marcus's face flashed through my head. "I'm not sure."

She made a look like she was thinking. Then she shrugged. "Do you have soneone you like?"

I looked down and smiled shyly. "Yeah..."

"Is it a boy or a girl?"

I hesitated. "It's a boy..."

She looked like she was a kid that was just given a lollypop. "You are a yaoi boy! I knew it! Have you told him?"

I shook my head. "I know he likes me back but, I'm not sure if I should tell him or not. He's asked me several times if I like him but, I always told him no."

She frowned. "Why?"

I shrugged. "I'm just not ready."

She thought for a moment. "To be honest, I've had love problems like yours before. I liked this guy and he liked me but, I never told him and found out after he had a girlfriend that he had liked me."

I looked up at her. "What did you do?"

"I told him. He didn't like me that way anymore and loved his girlfriend so I didn't really get my dream guy but, I was happy I got it off my chest. You never know when they'll dissappear and it's best to tell them while you still have the chance." She smiled. "Don't you think?"

I smiled back. "Yeah. Yeah, I do. Thanks, Cally. You helped alot."

She shrugged. "Thank the yaoi. It showed me what real love was."

I chuckled. "Okay, then. I should get going. I need to be home before 7:00pm."

She held out a slip of paper. "My phone number. If you ever need to talk give me a call." I smiled and thanked her.

We both stood up and I waved goodbye to Cally before heading home. I got there with about fifteen minutes to spare and went up to my room. I put my things away and sat down at my desk.

I pulled out a piece of paper and started writing. I frowned a few hours later and dropped my pencil down on my desk. It wasn't right.

I pulled out the paper with Cally's number and looked at it. Then I grabbed the only phone I was allowed to use and dialed the number. It rang for a few seconds before a cheery voice said, "Hello! This is Cally speaking."

"Hi. Cally? It's Eliot." I said. I heard her squeal. "Hi! What's up?"

"I need some advice. I was trying to write out how I feel towards the guy I like but, I can't seem to get it right." I sighed. "I don't know what to do."

She made a small hm. "Well, I think you should say it face to face. It means more if you say it to him directly. Don't worry. When you go to tell him you'll know what to say."

I was quiet. "You sure?"

"Absolutely. My mom is calling me to come eat dinner. Got to go! Bye!"

The call cut and I laughed a little. "Tell him myself?"

Then I froze. I had to make dinner before my parents woke up from their evening crash! I ran downstairs and started putting together dinner. I couldn't help smiling while I worked.

I'm going to tell him!

*******

Hey everyone! This is not the end! There is still plenty to come. To be honest, I had no idea what I was going to do for the end because I didn't have enough material. But, I figured it out today so I have the whole last half in my head. I'm so excited and relieved to have that done in my mind. Haha! Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
