Three years was a short time to wait compared to the definitive years of bliss that were to come. Dimitri reclined in the very chair his father once sat in as the new CEO. His eyes gazed upon the photo of his beautiful wife on his desk. 'Wife', who would have thought that he would one day willfully bestow that title on a woman that he was genuinely madly in love with?

Valarie-. No, it would be more fitting to address her by her new name. Mrs. Valarie Osbourne had been out the entire day running errands. If she was away for only a few minutes, he would miss her so of course it felt like eternity. Being parents themselves, Jake and his lover had somehow convinced them to babysit their child in order to at least give them a day off. Now his mind rendered worry for not one but two.

The phone rang and he picked up casually. The voice on the phone was frantic.

"Hey Dimitri! It's Ariel. Something happened."

His hairs stood on end. He could tell that something was wrong.

"It's Sebastien."

Dimitri immediately jumped to his feet.

"What! What happened to him? Is he okay?"

She panicked and paced the floor.

"Well ...Jake and I were bringing him to see you because Sophia wanted to go for a walk. I was watching him in his stroller and I turned around for one second to give Sophia her bottle and when I turned back around, Sebastien was gone. I am so sorry. I have been looking everywhere for him. Please don't kill me. I promise that I will find him."

Lava was coursing through his veins now. His heart was in his mouth and his stomach immediately became an empty pit. The thought of his son being in danger only awoken something deep within him and he went into total beast mode. His hand fisted as his side and he was seconds away from devouring Ariel when a knock was heard on the door.

The door creaked open and his mother walked in, holding Sebastien lovingly in her arms. His eyes widened and a wave of relief immediately swept over him.

"Hey don't worry about it, I found him" Dimitri said before hanging up the phone.

"Mom what are you doing here? Where did you find him?" he questioned walking briskly across to them.

"Well I was coming to see my son when I saw this little munchkin in his stroller in the lobby so I took him while that girl had her back turned."

"Mom! It was you who took him? God dammit you freaked the hell out of Ariel...and me. She was bringing him to see me."

"I told you that you should leave him with me. I would better protect him. What if it was some deranged psychopath that took him? I would personally whoop all of your asses if that happened."

"Mother stop thinking of such things. Next time would you lay off the proving a point, heart attack giving tactics?"

Irene was too busy smothering her lips into little Sebastian's chubby cheeks. Dimitri shook his head and smiled at the sight.

"And this is exactly why I would not keep him in your hands too often. You will most definitely spoil him."

She eyed him "Well you didn't complain about me spoiling you when you were little."

"Well maybe it's because I was too innocent to realise that you were."

A smile played across her face and she chuckled.

"Your father sent me here to summon you, your wife and this little one."

"What? To summon us?"

"Yes Hades have requested your presence for a family weekend of fun in his secret garden. We begged you guys not to be strangers and you two are practically becoming that."

"Mom! We were there just short of two weeks ago." Dimitri reminded.

Her brows jumped up. "Oh...Really? It felt like two months. Anyway, I can't stay long. Gotta do some grocery shopping. I expect to see you guys hopefully tonight or bright and early tomorrow. You can bring your friends along. Of course Kyle is always invited before he is" she joked.

Irene tucked her hands under Sebastian's arm and lifted him overhead. His little feet kicked eagerly in the air.

"I will see you again soon little man. You'll get your fill of kisses and presents."

She laid a kiss on his forehead and handed him over to Dimitri.

"Tell Valarie I said hi."

Her lips quirked up into a mischievous smile before leaving. Ariel and Jake were still in the lobby when she returned. Irene walked up to Ariel and pinched her on each side of her waist simultaneously. She jumped and spun around, her face still pale from the bomb scare.

"Rule number one honey, never ever turn your back on your kids. You just may not be lucky next time that I am the culprit who stole away my grandson."

Ariel's eyes widened. "It was you!"

Irene smiled. "Oops. Surprise! Forgive me. My methods of discipline are a little extreme."

"'A little?" Ariel questioned.

"I swear we both had almost gotten a heart attack the moment just before Dimitri informed us that he had been found." Jake ran his hands through his head.

"I would usually apologise but I am feeling a bit upbeat today. Quite a rebel. Must be the shoes" she highlighted, looking down at her black strapped up pumps.

"I came to invite you all to a nice family weekend at our home. Nikolai requested. I'll have two babies to love up" she said as she stooped down to pinch Sophia on her cheeks and kiss her.

She then stood up and smiled at the two. "Adorable isn't she? Just like you two."

Irene put her shades on and modelled out of the building, leaving them both with dropped jaws.

"Is it just me or does she seem a bit more...alive?" Ariel questioned.

"No, I see it too. It all came after her son tied the knots with the best person she could ever imagine having as a daughter-in-law. I guess that she is just happy that Valarie was able to tame him and create such a beautiful family. Dear Irene is just joy struck but boy have she gotten spicy with it."

"Spicy is an understatement." Ariel laughed.

Valarie came home to a house full of testosterone. Dimitri walked towards her with Sebastien in hand. She ran towards him and scooped her little boy into her arms.

"'Argh! Mummy missed you" she cuddled him.

It felt as though she had reconnected with the other half of herself. Dimitri smiled and leaned in to give her a small peck on her lips.

"How was your day?" he asked.

"Hectic but I am so happy that I got take care of so many things today. They were weeks' worth of chores. It was painful without him for so long though. I was so worried. How was your day?"

"Just the usual at work. My mother stopped by today to invite us home for the weekend."

"I know she called me" Valarie smiled.

"I am in no condition to go anywhere else tonight. We'll leave early tomorrow morning. Kyle will tag along with Jake and Ariel and they will follow behind us."

"Ahh well let's get him to bed and you to the shower and then bed."

"You aren't hungry? I'll go make dinner."

"Nah rest hun. We ate already. I cooked for us both earlier."

Valarie widened her eyes "Oh really you cooked? What did you make?"

Dimitri paused and a smile slowly crept over his face.

"Sliced bread with cheese, toasted perfectly over a hot pan...with ketchup at the side."

"Oh...wow...Your masterpiece was a simple grill cheese sandwich?"

"Hey it was not just any sandwich. The grilled marks on it was epic. It was good right Seb?"

Sebastien covered his eyes and leaned his head into Valarie's chest. She shook her head, smiled and headed up the stairs. Dimitri followed behind them closely.

It was an early road trip. They all headed over to the Osbourne's house to spend the weekend. Valarie and Ariel helped Irene in the kitchen with the food while the guys set up picnic table out back. Once rivals were now great friends, the guys were sipping beers side by side.

Kyle looked at Dimitri holding his son and smiled.

"Dimitri, seems like Valarie scared that tough side out of you" Kyle teased.

Dimitri raised an eyebrow and smirked "Oh don't test me."

"Just admit it. You are a softy now."

His eyes darkened to a deadly grey, his face tensed and his veins pushed sharply against his skin. "Are you a damn clown or are you deliberately trying to make yourself look stupid? I grew up here and this is still inevitably my home. I will cast you out of here triple the speed that you came in."

That familiar tone spat acid and brought an unwanted chill to the air. Kyle's face melted into fear and his eyes widened. It was amazing the immediate effect that darker side had on anyone that it was shown to.

Dimitri observed his features. "Would you prefer me to be like this?" he asked.

"Nope! Definitely not! Stick to the whole Valarie magic good side thing. It works for you."

The storm slowly calmed and his face returned to normal. Dimitri smirked. "Good. I was beginning to think that you were complaining there."

Jake chuckled and shook his head. "The both of you make me laugh."

The doorbell rang and Irene's ears stood up on cue. The three ladies furrowed their brows.

"Who could that be? I'll be right back" Irene said.

She walked over to the door to open it. Her eyes searched the features of the woman standing in front of her but she could not place the face. She definitely did not know her.

"Hello. How can I help you?" she asked.

"Well I was looking for someone" the lady responded.

"Who are you looking for?" Irene questioned.

"Is this the Osbourne's residence?"

"Yes, it is" she responded with furrowed brows.

"Does- Does Valarie live here? Valarie Lauryn. No sorry, Osbourne?"

"No she doesn't exactly live here but she is here at the moment. I will get her. Who are you though may I ask?"

"Just tell her a relative."

Irene went back inside to call Valarie.

"Valarie someone is here to see you."

"To see me? Who is it?"

"She said it's your relative."

"My relative?" Valarie's brows quizzed.

She walked skeptically towards the door and her eyes widened and skin heated as she saw who it was. Her fists clenched tightly at her sides and her face hardened. It was her aunt who had so willfully gone under the radar since the loan incident.

"You!" Valarie growled.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you."

"'How the hell did you find me?"

"Well your face is plastered everywhere now so you sort of found me."

"Well I don't want to see you. Now get out!" Valarie ordered.

"Oh Valarie please. I missed you."

Valarie raised her eyebrow. "Missed me? You freaking trapped me with your loan and forced me to pay it off. You hung up the phone on me a thousand times and you stopped answering my calls and now after so long you finally show up? You finally want to talk? Well I don't want to have anything to do with your lying dark heart and evil mind. Continue to pretend that I don't exist and get the hell out of my sight!"

"Valarie please. You are the only family I have left. We were apart for too long. I am so sorry for what I did. Please forgive me."

She rubbed her hands together and slowly dipped down until she fell on her knees. Valarie rolled her eyes at her little circus act. Her gesture only made her more annoyed. Irene approached from behind and placed her hands on Valarie's shoulders.

"Don't worry, I will get rid of her. Look, you can stop embarrassing yourself...and me. Get up go back to where you come from and continue to pretend that I don't exist."

"Valarie please. You are like my daughter."

"As much as I can remember, you told me that I wasn't your daughter. You said that you didn't even know me."

"Dear" Irene hushed her gently. She thought of the fact that this was literally the only strand of family that Valarie had left or at least the only member that she knew.

"Perhaps you should let her stay a bit. Even if it's just for today. Maybe you both can catch up or patch things up or-"

"There is nothing to catch up on. She ditched me and left me to struggle with that loan. I want nothing to do with her."

Irene turned her around and placed both hands on her cheeks. "Honey, I know that she hurt you and you are still upset. Quite frankly, I'm pissed, especially that she turned up here all of a sudden after what she did. However, don't you think that Sebastien should know both sides of his family? Don't you think that he should at least know her?"

"I would prefer him know no one than to know a witch" she responded.

Irene sighed and kissed her on her forehead.

"Your blood is just a bit heated right now. Maybe after you cool down you could see what I see."

She turned towards her aunt and invited her in. Valarie's eyes widened.

"Are you seriously?"

"Sorry dear, but I won't cast her out until she at least meets everyone."

Valarie's face hardened. She fisted both hands and stormed off towards the backyard. Irene and her aunt followed nervously behind.

Dimitri immediately noticed her demeanour.

"What's wrong?" he questioned.

She walked to his side and folded her arms in anger.

"Babe, what's wrong?" he questioned again.

Irene emerged with the woman who had come back to life. Everyone's attention turned to her and questions flooded their minds.

"Everyone, I would like you to meet-."

She turned towards the woman. "'Sorry I didn't catch your name."

"Beatrice" she answered.

"I would like you to meet Beatrice, Valarie's aunt."

All eyes widened. Dimitri immediately understood why Valarie was upset. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kept her close.

Nikolai walked towards her. "Hmm I had almost forgotten that Valarie even had an aunt. Where have you hatched from?"

"The witches' nest" Kyle suggested.

Mrs. Osbourne glared at him and tried to supress her smile.

"Well after all these years, my heart grew completely empty and I missed Valarie so much. I just had to find my baby again. I abandoned her for so long and I needed to have her back in my life. She is like my daughter" she explained.

Valarie rolled her eyes.

"I understand that you two have a rough past" Nikolai said.

"Yes but that is what it is, the past. I have come here to put everything behind and move on and change the way I have been and treat her the way she deserved to be treated in the first place. I want her back in my life."

"It doesn't work like that" Valarie said.

"I know it will take you a while to forgive me but I am begging you to just give me another chance." She looked on at Valarie pleadingly.

Not a single bone in Valarie's body could find it in them to accept her. This was too sudden and she needed time to harbour the idea of even thinking about talking to her again. She took her son from his father's arms and held her head up.

"If you will excuse me, I have pots on the fire to attend to."

With that, she puckered her lips and modelled off with swaying hips. Dimitri was pissed that her aunt showed up but Valarie's reaction was funny. He smiled as she walked off.

Valarie walked into the kitchen to a pleasant surprise. Mr. Pepper stood adjusting the ornaments on the table. His eyes shifted up to see her.

"Ahh Valarie!" he exclaimed.

"Pepper! You came back?"

"I guess Mrs. Osbourne failed to mention that fact but yes I did. I've grown too attached to the Osbourne's to go on my own."

"Well it is nice to have you back" Valarie smiled.

She pulled him into a hug and he pecked her on the cheek. Pepper helped her with the little she had left to do in the kitchen and they all gathered outside for a feast. The air between Valarie and Beatrice was obviously tense and everyone looked on at them awkwardly.

"So, it's nice to have us all here as one big family" Irene smiled and attempted to lighten the air.

Valarie's eyes shifted up to glare at her aunt who sat opposite to her. She tried to feign a smile and shifted closer to Dimitri for the comfort of his warmth. Dimitri held her close to him and laid soft frequent kisses on her cheeks to calm her. As unfitting as it seemed, his son would finally know the blood on his mother's side.

Beatrice deserved to be burnt on the cross for what she had done to Valarie but all else aside, one cannot forget the fact that she was the one who took Valarie in after her parents died. If she had left her to fall under the hands of the foster care system, who knows where Valarie would have been today. Inevitably he did thank her secretly for indirectly leading Valarie into his arms today.

Nikolai also attempted an ice breaker to keep the ball rolling.

"I have an idea; let us all say what accounts for our happy state today. I'll begin."

He looked at Dimitri "I am happy that my son walks in honour and that Valarie brought out the best in him. The company could not have been in better hands."

Irene: "I am happy that my son and his wife are happy and that they granted me a grandchild to curb my loneliness when I am alone in this house."

Kyle: "I am happy that our lives have been bitch free for the last few years and that our fashion sector have shown no sign of regressing."

Jake: "I am happy that my love came back to me and that we have started a beautiful family on our own."

Ariel: "I am happy to be back in the arms that I belong in and that my parents have finally accepted and approved of us as a couple."

Beatrice: "I am so very happy that I found Valarie again and that you all were so generous to let me into your home despite what I have done."

Mr. Pepper: "I am happy that you all have shown mercy on me and have treated me royalty after having suffered by the hands of the Chases for so many years."

Dimitri: "I am happy that I was able to let down my walls and allow my heart to feel. I couldn't be happier to have Valarie as my wife and my beautiful boy Sebastien."

Valarie: "I am happy for life and that all of you are in it. Each of you have impacted my life in so many ways and you are the fuel that keeps me going. I am happy for the great friends I have and that Dimitri have proven to be an amazing husband, despite the fact that he still annoys me at times haha. I am happy that I was blessed with the best in laws that I could ever ask for and that all of you made me feel nothing less than part of the family. I am happy that I was able to bear a child whose veins course the blood of the Osbournes and mine."

They all toasted and cheered to a happy life. The sweet air was disrupted by a sudden cry from Sophia. Ariel turned to the stroller to tend to her and make her stop but her cries only increased.

"Ahh I know what to do" she said standing to her feet.

"This is something really strange that I noticed the few times that I babysat them."

She walked over to Sebastian's stroller to pick him and walked over to Sophia again. Her hands gently laid Sebastien down next to her little girl. All eyes watched eagerly to see what will unfold. Sebastien's little eyes turned to look at Sophia whose face was now drenched in tears. His eyes pooled with tears and his face twisted into a prune. He turned his body towards her and stretched his hand over to rest on her face.

Sophia's cry ceased instantly. She busted into a high pitched crackled laughed and Sebastien's lips shifted into a smile as she pulled his little fingers into her mouth to nibble on them.

Dimitri furrowed his brows and glanced up at Jake who had the same expression on his face. Valarie tilted her head to the side in awe. Irene's entire face lit up.

"Now will you look at that!" she beamed.

They all looked on at the two dazed, as they relished in each other's innocent giggles. Even the littlest of them all proved that they were all Lego blocks that relied on each other for support to build or create something great. As long as life lived, there will be no death to the connection they had.

About the tittle of book, I did a head count and most of you suggested that I keep the original name so I will. However some of you suggested some great names that sparked ideas for new books and that would actually be suitable for two draft stories that I am working on that will soon be posted.

So I will just like to give a shout out to those of you who took the time to come up with some names. I really appreciate it.
