Aftermath After Class

The mechanical hum of the monitoring room was the only sound left in the vacuum of the silence that followed. For a full, agonizing ten seconds, nobody breathed. The massive digital screens, casting a cold, flickering blue glow over the assembled prodigies of Class 1-A, displayed the wreckage of Ground Zero: a smoking labyrinth of collapsed drywall, shattered black ice spires, and a long, jagged trench carved into the concrete by Bakugo's unconscious body.

Izuku Midoriya stared at the screen, his emerald eyes wide, paralyzed in a state of absolute, existential shock. His fingers, which had been furiously scribbling notes just moments prior, had lost all their strength. The green leather-bound notebook slipped from his grasp, hitting the linoleum floor with a dull, echoing thud. He didn't even notice. To Izuku, who had spent his entire life studying the precise mechanics of Quirks, what he had just witnessed defied every law of combat he understood. It wasn't the manifestation of an innate power; it was the violent, beautiful rebellion of a baseline human body against a world that told him he didn't belong.

"He... he didn't counter the blast," Izuku whispered, his voice cracking, a solitary tear tracking through the dirt on his cheek. "He didn't absorb it. He just... he just took the brunt of a maximum-output Stun Grenade to keep the blast radius away from Weiss's blind spot... and then he kept moving. How is his body even holding together?!"

Beside him, Momo Yaoyorozu pressed both hands over her mouth, her aristocratic composure entirely failing her. Tears welled rapidly in her eyes, spilling over her flushed cheeks as she stared at the crumpled, blood-stained form of (Y/n) on the central monitor. As someone who understood the precise atomic structure of objects and the heavy toll creation took on her own body, she could instantly calculate the sheer, agonizing physical trauma (Y/n) had voluntarily subjected himself to.

"His muscles... the kinetic feedback alone from a titanium-alloy boot connecting at that velocity without an Aura to cushion the impact..." Momo choked out, her shoulders trembling violently. "It's suicide. He forced his body to perform at a meta-human level through pure, destructive leverage and spinal alignment. He didn't just fight Bakugo... he fought the very limitations of human anatomy."

Across the crowded room, the heavy-hitters of the multi-dimensional transfer program stood in various states of stunned paralysis. Rias Gremory, whose crimson hair usually flowed with an aura of absolute, demonic authority, had her hands tightly gripped around the guardrail, her knuckles turning stark white. Her peerage—Issei, Koneko, and Kiba—stood behind her, their usual boisterous banter completely silenced. Issei Hyoudou looked at his own glowing Sacred Gear, then back to the screen, a profound, uncomfortable lump forming in his throat. For all his complaints about his grueling training, he had a dragon inside him. (Y/n) had nothing but blood, bone, and iron.

"That wasn't a tactical retreat or a clever trick," Ryuko Matoi muttered, her hand resting heavily on the hilt of her Scissor Blade, her usual fierce, rebellious smirk entirely gone, replaced by a grim, deeply reverent expression. She spat a toothpick onto the floor, her eyes locked on the monitor. "That kid just walked into a literal hellfire with nothing but a pair of boosted boots and an attitude. I've seen guys with god-tier armor run away from less than that. He's got terrifying stakes in his head."

"It is the discipline of the unbroken," Satsuki Kiryuin spoke, her voice cutting through the ambient shock like a razor blade. She stood perfectly erect, her arms crossed over her chest, though the slight, almost imperceptible narrowing of her eyes betrayed her internal evaluation. "His father's words echo in every fracture of that concrete. Kurogane Tetsuya claims that innate gifts breed complacency. Today, his son proved that when a human discards the crutch of a superpower, the mind becomes the ultimate weapon. Look at Bakugo. He relied so heavily on the explosive trajectory of his Quirk that he never anticipated a martial artist who calculates gravity to the milliradian."

Down in the smoke-choked ruins of the first-floor corridor, the reality was far less philosophical. It smelled of ozone, burnt fabric, and the sharp, metallic tang of fresh blood.

"I've got you... you absolute, infuriating fool, I've got you," Weiss sobbed, her aristocratic composure completely shattered as she held him tightly, her fingers staining with his blood against the dark, scorched plates of his armor.

Her chest heaved with ragged, panicked breaths, her icy blue eyes wide and terrified as she frantically checked for a pulse against his neck. The regular, pristine persona of the Schnee heiress—the girl who demanded perfection, who carried herself with the icy dignity of Atlas royalty—was completely gone. She didn't care about the cameras hidden in the masonry; she didn't care about the monitoring room full of their peers watching her unravel; and she certainly didn't care about looking proper. The sheer, suffocating terror of losing him right there in the dust-choked rubble completely overwhelmed every other thought in her head. She could feel the staggering heat still radiating from his armor plates, the smell of his singed hair, and the terrifying, uneven shallow rattle of his chest.

"Stay with me, (Y/n)! Do you hear me?! That is an authoritative order from your teammate!" she shrieked, her voice breaking into a raw, uncharacteristic wail as she cradled his head against her chest, her white dress staining a deep, ruined crimson. "You don't get to pull off a stunt like that and just close your eyes! Open them! Look at me!"

Lie Ren dropped down from the upper structural ledge a second later, his calm, meditative demeanor entirely vanished. His magenta eyes widened in absolute shock as he took in the scorched, bleeding condition of the armored boy. The gentle, silent assassin of Team JNPR had seen his share of brutal battles in Remnant, but the sight of a boy with no Aura whatsoever taking a direct, localized explosion to the torso made his blood run cold.

"Get the recovery team on the horn right now!" Ren barked, his voice laced with a rare, panicked urgency that none of his classmates had ever heard before. He knelt instantly beside them, his movements blurred with adrenaline as he tore a wide, thick strip of fabric from his own green tunic, instantly pressing it firmly against the worst of the severe burns on (Y/n)'s lower back where the armor had warped under the heat. "His core temperature is fluctuating wildly, and traumatic shock is setting in! Weiss, pressure on the brachial artery, now! Move!"

"I-I'm trying!" Weiss gasped, her hands trembling so violently she could barely align her fingers against the torn seam of his undershirt. "He's too heavy... the armor is binding..."

Down the hall, the heavy, rhythmic thud of sandals echoed through the dust. Inuyasha jogged up, his silver hair dusted with white drywall powder, his distinct dog ears pressed flat against his head in discomfort from the lingering concussive noise. He stopped a few feet away, leaning slightly on the sheath of the Tessaiga, a grimace of raw, uncomfortable respect twisting his rough features. He looked down at the unconscious, heavily damaged boy, then turned his gaze down the corridor where the two shattered structural walls lay in ruins.

"Damn... the kid actually pulled it off," Inuyasha muttered, shaking his head as a low, gruff whistle escaped his teeth. "He knocked the sparky brat clean out. I smelled that blonde kid's ego from a mile away, and right now, it's buried under three tons of plaster. No magic, no demonic energy... just a solid, nasty piece of footwork. I didn't think a regular human had that kind of jaw-breaking power in 'em."

"Inuyasha, this isn't the time for a post-match commentary!" Ren snapped, his fingers already saturated with crimson as he maintained heavy pressure on the wound. "He needs a medical transport within the next sixty seconds or his lungs are going to collapse from the smoke inhalation and internal hemorrhaging!"

Upstairs in the observation theater, the heavy silence remained unbroken until a sudden, massive shifting sound drew everyone's attention. Eijiro Kirishima was vibrating with a terrifying mix of emotional pride and sheer, unadulterated panic. His hardened skin flaked slightly as he gripped the doorway.

"That's my brother!" Kirishima roared, tears streaming down his face as he slammed a hardened fist into the doorframe, leaving a visible dent. "Did you see that?! That's what true grit looks like! That's manliness in its purest form! He didn't back down for a single second! Professor All Might, let me down there! I can help carry him to the infirmary! He shouldn't be lying in the dirt like that!"

"Sit down, Kirishima," Aizawa's tired, gravelly voice cut through from the back of the room, though his own capture scarf was twitching slightly, his dark eyes locked on the vitals monitor of the (L/n) boy. "The medical drones are already on site. If you run down there, you'll only get in the way of Recovery Girl's staff. But... you're not wrong about his dedication. That was a calculated risk that ninety percent of licensed heroes wouldn't have the stomach to take."

At the front of the console, All Might slowly lowered his head. The massive, towering Symbol of Peace looked strangely small in that moment, his massive golden shoulders trembling slightly as a heavy, sorrowful sigh escaped his chest. He reached up, his oversized, white-gloved hand trembling with a profound emotion as he clicked the master microphone switch on the podium. He had spent decades telling the world that anyone could be a hero, but deep down, his philosophy had always been tied to the massive, roaring fire of One For All. Looking at (Y/n), he saw a boy who had built a fire out of nothing but flint, dry leaves, and his own stubborn spirit.

"Recovery Girl... medical team... secure the ground ground zero corridor immediately," All Might rasped into the microphone. His booming, theatrical voice—the one that usually brought comfort and thunderous joy to millions—lacked its usual cinematic cadence. It was replaced instead by a deep, humbled reverence that resonated through every speaker in the facility. "Match concluded. The villain team has been neutralized. The Hero Team... is victorious. May the heavens protect that boy's spirit."

As the mechanical siren blared its final, long whistle across the PA system, the automated medical bay doors at the end of the corridor slid open with a hiss. A swarm of white robotic drones, accompanied by a frantic Recovery Girl riding her motorized cart, hurried into the smoke.

But Weiss didn't loosen her grip. Even as the automated gurney aligned itself with (Y/n)'s shattered armor, she kept her tear-soaked face pressed against his shoulder, her fingers locked into the metal plates as if her very survival depended on keeping his baseline human heart beating against her own.

We skip to the next match as Ojiro was stretching his arms as he stood in front of the fake nuclear bomb, All Might having declared Team I of himself and Hagakure to be the villains to Team B's Shoji and Todoroki. A glove floated on screen, superimposed over Ojiro to show its closeness to the 'camera'. "Hey, Ojiro."

"Let's get serious," she said as Ojiro looked in her direction. She started pulling her gloves off. "I'm going to take off all my clothes and totally disappear."

Ojiro nodded. "Yeah, cool." He looked off to the side, scratching his head. 'Hagakure's using her quirk to our advantage, but it's kinda weird to know there's a naked girl standing by me.'

Hagakure was holding up her gloves and shoes, the only other sign that she was there being the floating earpiece radio. "Uh... just don't look, okay?" she asked, apparently just realizing what she'd just done.

"What's the difference?" Ojiro asked.

Shoji spread his tentacle-arms out at the sound of the buzzer, turning the tip from one of them into an ear. The show provided a shot of his masked face with his hair down in front, all stylized for his own Present Mic intro.

"Mezo Shoji, quirk: Dupli-Arms. He can replicate different body parts on the tips of his tentacles!" Mic announced as Todoroki walked into the building behind where Shoji silently stood, scouting. "Now that's super strange!"

The ear Shoji had formed morphed into a mouth. "One's in the hall on the north side on the fourth floor," the mouth told Todoroki. "And I think the other's on the same level somewhere. Both are barefoot." A second mouth came down from the tentacle tip above it. "I bet the invisible one plans to sneak up and surprise us."

Todoroki stepped past Shoji. "For your own safety, go outside. I'm sure our opponents intend to fight a defensive battle." He held up his right hand, frosty cold air starting to emanate from it as the water vapour around his hand froze. He placed his hand against the wall, ice beginning to form on it at his touch. The floor beneath his right foot also started to freeze. "But we've already won," Todoroki declared, standing confidently in the hall.

"Ow, ow ow!" Hagakure exclaimed as the show revealed the icy floor with two footprints in it, clearly where she was standing. "My feet are stuck!"

Ojiro's own legs were covered in ice from his boots up to his shins. "This quirk is insane!"

Ojiro raised his arms and tail in a fighting stance against the oncoming Todoroki, the dual-quirked boy coming on with a confident smirk that bordered on a sneer. The glowing red eyepiece he was wearing over his left eye in the centre of the amalgamation of ice that covered his left side just made him even more intimidating. "Pry yourself up if you want, but it might be hard to fight me with no skin on the bottom of your feet."

"It's not your fault," Todoroki said, left hand on the weapon and everything around them now wet and steaming as he sent out heat to melt and evaporate the ice. "We're just playing on different levels." The show zoomed in on the side profile of his face, giving Todoroki his own intro shot.

"Shoto Todoroki. Another of the four admitted to the hero course based on recommendations. Quirk: Half-Cold, Half-Hot! He freezes with his right side and burns up the charts with his left! The range of his abilities is unknown...!"

"Holy crap!" Sato exclaimed from the observation room as many of the class observed in awe.

Kaminari flinched. "That guy's kind of intimidating."

"He got in on a recommendation so he must be good," Asui reasoned.

The show focused on Bakugo, his face hidden from perspective as he twitched, All Might talking over to the class. "Moving on! Time to gather 'round for a review of the second match! After that, we'll jet on over to our next battle!"

"Yes, sir!"

Bakugo bit his lip, hissing as he looked down while the training montage drumbeat kicked in.

Homura, Crona, Jaune, Pyrrha, and Lotte stood outside the building.

"Where do you think the bomb will be?" Jaune asked.

"Well... it's got to be on either the fourth or fifth floor." Lotte said.

"Does it matter which floor it's in?" Ragnarok asked. "I just want to beat some idiots around!"

"Ragnarok..." Crona said. "You know this is just..."

"Oh don't worry, everyone has an aura, so there's no need to worry." Jaune said.

"Oh yeah, that's right, our clothing has those chips that projects an aura around us." Lotte said. "As long as the chips work, we should be fine."

"And begin!" Toshinori said on the speakers.

Homura's shield suddenly opened up and revealed a mechanism. The shield spins for a bit before everything stops moving. The flow of time had stopped. All was still. Homura began to move into the building. She reached into her shield and pulled out some explosives. She tapped them, arming them and tossed them into the halls. The explosives began to stop moving in midair. She went up the stairs and went up. She pressed the detonator and pushed a button on her shield.

The flow of time began to move, and the explosives she armed went off a second later.

Inuyasha and Blake got away from the explosions and began to look around. The ceiling began to crumble.

"Look out!" Inuyasha said before pushing Blake back.

The ceiling fell. Inuyasha rolled out of the way.

'What was that?!' Inuyasha thought.

"The path is clear, move forward." Homura said on the earpieces everyone had.

"H-Homura?! What—?!"

"I'll explain later, now move it." Homura said.

"What was that?!" Narancia asked.

"Explosives." Abbacchio said.

"But where's Homura?!" Uraraka asked. "What happened to her?!"

"Oh that's simple my dear Uraraka." Mami said, drinking her tea. "She stopped time and quite possibly made use of whatever she had on her to cause those explosions."

Everyone looked at Mami, including Toshinori.

"She... stopped time?" Ami asked. "As in she literally halted the flow of time and space itself?"

"That's correct." Mami said. "Her shield doesn't just serve as a means of defense. It's also her means to fight."

"Seriously?!" Everyone said.

"Wait! How the hell is that possible?!" Edward asked.

"Because of magic." Mami said.

"She has time magic?" Akko asked.

"That's so cool!" Luffy said.

"That's just like Jotaro-san's Star Platinum..." Koichi said.

"You're sure you want this?" Kaminari asked.

"Just zap me already!" Nora said.

"Oh..." Kaminari said.

His body shot a discharge of electricity into Nora's body. While there was pain at first, he began to hear her... laughing.

"Oh yeah! I feel it! The power! Oh it's flowing in me! More! I need more!" Nora said. "Hit me with everything you got you human taser!"

'First stun gun, now taser? What's next, rail gun?' Kaminari thought.

"I believe you can now stop." Penny said.

He stopped giving her electricity. Nora chuckled as she gripped her hammer tightly.

"Oh... Kaminari, we are going to have so much fun together..." Nora said. "Just watch..."

"Damn it, where the hell is everyone?" Zoro asked.

The wall suddenly breaks as Nora swung her hammer. Zoro quickly ducked and pulled his swords out. He blocked her next attack before backing away. She rushed at him with the battle equivalent of a sugar rush. He tried to block the attack head on, but the force was enough to break his guard. He was smacked around by the hammer.

'Where did this all come from?!' Zoro thought.

Ren tried to land a hit on Sanji, but his kicks redirected the attacks. Sanji got into a one hand handstand and quickly throws a kick to the ribs, knocking Ren to the side.

"Selle!" Sanji said.

With the momentum in his legs, he threw a kick to the lower back. Ren was spinning in midair as he was lifted off the ground. Sanji got on his two feet. His leg lit up.

"Diable Jambe..."

He jumps up and kicks downward, hitting Ren's side.

"Flambage Strike!" Sanji said.

Ren was knocked down. Yuna came in and delivered a powerful punch to Sanji's face. A cow like fairy was hovering around Yuna.

"Hero Punch!" Yuna said as she punched with all her might.

Sanji was knocked back and rolled over the floor before coming to a stop. Ren slowly got up.

"Watch for his kicks... they hurt like hell." Ren said.

"Got it!" Yuna said.

Sanji darted for Ren, kicking him in the face.

"Having a girl fight your own battles! You ought to be ashamed of yourself!" Sanji said.

"I didn't do anything..." Ren said before falling to the ground.

Kyoko got her spear at Sanji's neck. He quickly backed away.

"Sorry, I don't fight women." Sanji said. "A man should never hurt a woman, no matter what the reason."

Kyoko growled.

"Stubborn..." Kyoko said.

Red diamond like chains surrounded and held Sanji to the floor.

"This is fine. As long as I don't have to hurt a woman." Sanji said. "But just so you know, I won't let you pass."

"Then you leave me with no choice..." Kyoko said.

Copies of Kyoko suddenly began to appear one after the other. Kyoko took out a chocolate bar as her duplicates had their spears around his neck.

'Sayaka... that idiot. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have gotten over my regrets...' Kyoko thought. 'At least now I can use this again...'

"You think I'll give up because you're threatening me? I could break those weapons in an instant." Sanji said. "Not even cross dressing men could break me."

"Cross dressing men?" Kyoko asked. "Oh I get it..."

She snapped her fingers. All of a sudden, Sanji found himself surrounded by okama, men who dress like women.

"NO! NOT AGAIN! NO! NO! GET AWAY FROM ME! GET OFF! KEEP YOUR DISGUSTING HANDS OFF ME!" Sanji said.

"I'll make them leave if you tell us where the bomb is." Kyoko said.

"TORTURING ME ISN'T GOING TO HELP!" Sanji said.

"Ah... but you don't want to hurt girls, don't you?" Kyoko asked. "I guess I can't blame you."

She snapped her fingers and Sanji was now surrounded by multiple... sexy ladies.

"Hubba hubba!" Sanji said.

"All the ladies are yours if you tell us where the bomb is." Kyoko said.

"Deal!" Sanji said. "Third floor!"

The girls were suddenly gone. Kyoko smirked as Sanji looked in anger.

"BRING THE LADIES BACK!"

"Can't believe you fell for that." Kyoko said with a sinister smile. "Later."

"PLEASE! BRING THEM BACK!" Sanji said.

"NICE GOING, DUMBASS!" Zoro yelled.

"SHUT IT YOU IDIOT MARIMO!" Sanji yelled.

"DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING!" Kid yelled as he kept repeatedly shooting at the girls who quickly took cover.

"Ok... would anyone care to explain why he's gone off the edge?" Ussop asked.

"He hates anything that looks so symmetrical, yet has one tiny thing out of alignment like anything off to the left or to the right by a few centimeters." Satsuki said.

"Will you please calm the hell down?!" Sayaka asked. "We can work something out!"

"THEN FIX THAT GOD AWFUL HAIR OF YOURS!"

"HEY! MY HAIR IS NOT THAT BAD!" Sayaka said.

Later...

"Well students, that was quite a rousing round of battle trials." Toshinori said. "So now that we got through most of this, I think it's time we head on back to the classroom and get ready for your next classes."

"Yes..." Most is the class said.

And so the trials had ended before

The sterile, pressurized double doors of the Union Academy intensive care wing parted with a soft, clinical hiss. All Might stepped through the threshold first, his massive, towering frame cast in a long, somber shadow against the polished linoleum floor. The usual booming radiance that defined the Symbol of Peace was entirely absent; his broad shoulders were slightly hunched, and his iconic golden hair tufts seemed to droop under the immense, suffocating weight of the day's events. Behind him lounged Qrow Branwen, his tattered grey cloak swaying slightly with each heavy step. Qrow's bloodshot, weary eyes scanned the rows of medical machinery with a deeply ingrained skepticism, one hand subconsciously resting against the flask tucked into his belt, though he knew better than to drink in a room that smelled so heavily of antiseptic, ozone, and dried blood.

The interior of the infirmary was a symphony of rhythmic, mechanical noises—the steady, artificial hiss-click of a respirator, the sharp, synchronized beep... beep... beep of multiple cardiac monitors, and the low, comforting hum of medical stasis fields.

"They're too exhausted from his classes for my quirk," Recovery Girl fumed the moment All Might's large boots crossed into her immediate office space. The diminutive, elderly woman didn't even look up from her digital tablet at first, her fingers flying across the touch screen to stabilize the fluctuating vitals of half a dozen students. She turned around sharply, her cane smacking against the leg of her desk with a loud, echoing crack that made the towering hero flinch. "Look at them, Toshinori! Just look at what your 'foundational training' does to these children! They are brilliant, yes, but they are still growing boys and girls, not invincible chess pieces for you to throw into a meat grinder!"

She jabbed her finger aggressively toward the main recovery ward, where a line of clinical beds held the battered, broken vanguard of Class 1-A.

In the nearest bed lay Izuku Midoriya, his breathing shallow and uneven. His entire right arm was wrapped in thick, tightly bound orthopedic bandages, holding the shattered bones in place until his skeletal structure could naturally recover from the terrifying recoil of One For All. An intravenous line was hooked securely into his left forearm, dripping a specialized nutrient fluid into his bloodstream to combat the sheer, bone-deep fatigue that had left his skin a pale, sickly green.

Two beds over, Ruby Rose lay flat on her back, her usual high-energy demeanor completely deflated. Her chest heaved with heavy, ragged pants even in her deep sleep, her small hands twitching against the pristine white sheets as if she were still trying to swing Crescent Rose against the overwhelming physical pressure of the multi-dimensional simulation. Next to her, Natsu Dragneel was uncharacteristically quiet, his iconic pink hair damp with sweat, his massive dragon-slayer appetite entirely dormant as his internal ethernano reserves slowly refilled from absolute zero.

Further down the line, Usagi Tsukino looked entirely drained, her signature twin odangos messy and tangled against the pillow, while Akko Kagari lay beyond exhausted in the final bed, her hands lightly blistered from trying to force uncooperative magical energy through her wand until her spirit simply gave out from the strain.

"I can't treat their injuries all at once," Recovery Girl continued, her voice dropping into a low, gravelly tone laced with profound frustration. She walked over to the central monitoring station, looking up at the complex physiological readouts of the final, most critically damaged patient in the room. "I did some emergency first aid, but after the IV fluid is completely finished, we will have to wait for their bodies to heal naturally overnight. My quirk accelerates natural healing by drawing directly from the patient's own stamina. If I kissed any of these children right now to force a full recovery, the sheer metabolic drain would literally stop their hearts. They have absolutely nothing left in the tank."

She paused, her sharp eyes softening with a mixture of anger and deep, protective sorrow as she gestured toward the bed tucked into the far corner of the intensive care unit.

There lay (Y/n) (L/n).

The contrast between him and the rest of the superpowered prodigies was staggering. A heavy, clear plastic respiratory mask was strapped tightly over his face, fogging up rhythmically with every shallow, strained breath his lungs managed to draw. His upper body was entirely bare, revealing a horrifying, intricate patchwork of thick, sterile medical bandages that completely covered his back, shoulders, and the sides of his torso. The underlying skin that was visible was a bruised, mottled purple, stained with the residual carbon marking of a point-blank nitro-explosive blast. The smell of singed flesh and melted synthetic armor fabric still clung faintly to the air around his bed, despite the powerful ventilation system humming overhead.

"And (L/n) is exceptionally lucky," Recovery Girl rasped, her hand trembling slightly as she adjusted the oxygen flow rate on his respiratory unit. She looked up at All Might, her expression grimmer than the hero had seen it in years. "Son Gohan rushed down to the arena floor immediately after the match concluded and managed to slip a senzu bean past his lips before his throat completely swelled shut from the smoke inhalation. Toshinori... if not for that mystical bean stabilizing his cellular structure in those first critical seconds, something tells me this boy would have permanently lost his ability to walk... or his very life right there in the dirt."

All Might flinched, his massive hands curling into tight, helpless fists. "Is the damage truly that severe, Chiyo? He was wearing the Jundo Senryoku reinforced armor..."

"The armor is the only reason he didn't leave the arena in pieces!" Recovery Girl snapped, her voice cutting through the steady beep of the heart monitors. "He took a maximum-output, localized explosion directly to his spine. Even with the mechanical shock absorption built into those pneumatic boots and his backplates, the concussive force alone was enough to instantly shatter a normal man's vertebrae and rupture every internal organ in his thoracic cavity. The boy is a baseline human, Toshinori! He doesn't have an Aura to cushion the blow like young Rose, he doesn't have a dragon's scales like Dragneel, and he doesn't have a Quirk to harden his skin! He forced himself through a literal hellfire using nothing but sheer, stubborn muscle and a titanium boot!"

Qrow Branwen slowly walked over to the foot of (Y/n)'s bed, leaning heavily against the structural metal frame. He stared down at the unconscious boy, his eyes tracking the uneven rise and fall of the chest beneath the oxygen mask. A heavy, uncharacteristic sigh escaped Qrow's lips, the smell of cheap whiskey faintly coloring the sterile air as he shook his head.

"The kid's got the same look my old team used to get," Qrow muttered, his voice low and gravelly, stripped of its usual sarcastic edge. "That look where you realize the world doesn't care how hard you trained, it's just going to keep throwing monsters at you until you break. But there's a difference between being a Huntsman with a Semblance and whatever the hell this kid is doing. He's fighting a war with a wooden sword, All Might. And the worst part is, he's actually winning the damn matches."

"He did not fight like an ordinary human, Qrow-san," All Might said, his voice dropping into a deep, somber register that vibrated through the floorboards. He stepped closer to the bedside, looking down at the heavy bandages covering (Y/n)'s back. "He calculated the exact kinetic trajectory required to shatter young Bakugo's defense. He used the environment, gravity, and the weight of his own gear as multipliers. It was a beautiful, terrifying display of tactical perfection. But the cost... the cost is far too high for a child to bear."

"Tell that to his father," Qrow said dryly, pulling his hand away from the bedpost and crossing his arms over his chest. "Kurogane Tetsuya doesn't build kids; he builds weapons. I've seen the public reports on Jundo Senryoku. They think superpowers are a disease that makes humanity weak. If Kurogane saw his youngest son lying in this bed right now, he wouldn't be crying over the burns. He'd be analyzing the structural integrity of the armor plates and telling the kid his stance was two inches off when he took the blast......and then, he'd sue us for what happened to him!"

"Kurogane-san's philosophy is harsh, but today... his son proved that there is a terrifying truth hidden within it," All Might admitted softly, his blue eyes clouded with a profound, internal conflict. "When a human being entirely discards the concept of a shortcut—when they accept that there is no magical energy or genetic gift coming to save them—the mind is forced to evolve into something entirely unprecedented. Young (Y/n) didn't just defeat an elite student today. He challenged the very foundation of how this Academy measures strength."

"Yeah, well, challenging the foundation gets you a one-way ticket to a pine box if you aren't careful," Qrow spat, turning his head to look out the narrow window of the infirmary toward the distant training grounds. "Look at the rest of them. Midoriya's arm is practically turned to chalk again. The Rose kid looks like she ran a marathon through a meat grinder. These kids are pushing themselves to the absolute brink because they're terrified of looking weak in front of each other. It's an ideological arms race, and right now, the kid with zero powers is setting the pace. That's a dangerous place to be."

Recovery Girl walked over, her small hands gently adjusting the blankets around Usagi and Akko's beds, ensuring the automated warmth fields were operating at optimal efficiency to combat the deep, magical exhaustion. She looked back at the two men, her expression strict.

"If you two are quite finished philosophizing over the bodies of my patients, I suggest you take your discussion elsewhere," she said, her voice sharp but laced with an undeniable undercurrent of motherly care. "They need absolute silence. The IV fluids will take another three hours to fully cycle through their systems, and after that, the natural cellular regeneration will begin. I've restricted all student visitations until tomorrow morning. Miss Schnee tried to refuse to leave, but I had to personally threaten her with suspension just to get her to go wash the blood off her uniform."

All Might bowed his head respectfully to the elderly doctor. "Thank you, Chiyo. Your care is, as always, the true salvation of this school."

"Just make sure your next lesson involves a textbook and a desk, Toshinori," she muttered, turning her back to return to her terminal. "Because if I see that boy brought in here in that condition again, I won't just lecture you. I'll call his mother myself. And from what I hear about Harumi (L/n), not even the Symbol of Peace wants to be in the room when she loses her temper."

Qrow let out a brief, dark chuckle at that, pushing himself away from the wall and heading toward the exit. "She's right, blondie. Let's go. Let the kids sleep. They've earned at least one night without us staring at them like worried parents."

All Might cast one final, lingering look at (Y/n). Through the clear plastic of the respiratory mask, the boy's features were entirely still, his brow no longer furrowed in the intense, desperate calculation of battle. For the first time since he had arrived at Union Academy, the powerless boy who fought like a comet of iron looked entirely at peace, protected by the very walls he had broken his body to defend.

Turn around slowly, All Might followed Qrow out into the dimly lit corridor, the heavy doors closing behind them with a definitive, mechanical seal, leaving the wounded heroes to the quiet healing of the night.

The heavy, industrial doors of Class 1-A's lecture hall parted with a low, mechanical hiss that felt entirely too loud in the quiet, late-evening atmosphere of the main academy building. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the sprawling campus of Union Academy was bathed in the warm, bleeding gold and deep amber hues of a cinematic sunset. The long shadows of the towering architectural arches stretched across the polished linoleum floors like dark fingers, casting a serene, almost deceptive calm over a school that had, just twenty-four hours prior, witnessed a localized tactical war zone.

Standing at the threshold, the six battered survivors of the foundational combat trials looked like an infantry squad returning from a prolonged, brutal campaign.

In the vanguard was Izuku Midoriya, his frame hunched slightly forward to protect his center of gravity. His right arm was entirely encased in thick, medical-grade fiberglass and immobilizing splints, held tightly against his chest by a stark white orthopedic sling that looked incredibly stark against his torn green hero costume. Behind him, Ruby Rose leaned heavily against the doorframe, her silver eyes drooping with an existential fatigue that even a night of deep sleep couldn't entirely wash away. Her iconic red cloak was frayed at the edges, and her small shoulders rose and fell with slow, deliberate breaths.

Beside her, Natsu Dragneel walked with an uncharacteristic, heavy-footed drag, his standard boisterous swagger replaced by a quiet, protective posture as his internal magic reserves slowly stabilized. Akko Kagari was practically hanging onto Usagi Tsukino's shoulder; both girls looked utterly drained, their complex spiritual and magical channels still tingling with the residual ache of overexertion.

And then there was (Y/n) (L/n).

He walked among them with his teeth gritted, his jaw locked in a tight, unyielding line to prevent a single groan of pain from escaping his lips. He was still wearing the mangled, scorched remains of his Jundo Senryoku tactical suit. The heavy titanium-carbide chest plates were warped, the matte-black paint scorched away in jagged, bubbling gray rings where Bakugo's point-blank explosions had tested the absolute limits of human metallurgy. Thick, sterile white bandages peeked out from the torn seams of his collar and the shredded fabric of his shoulders, a constant, physical reminder of the heavy price his baseline human body had paid to secure the word Victory on All Might's display terminal.

The moment the door fully retracted, the low, ambient murmur of the classroom ceased instantly.

Eijiro Kirishima, who had been sitting backwards on his desk while spinning a heavy, hardened fist against his palm, snapped his head around at the sound. His crimson eyes widened, and a massive, radiating grin split across his face, his sharp, shark-like teeth gleaming in the evening light.

"Hey! There they are!" Kirishima roared, his booming voice shattering the quiet like a concussive wave. He didn't just stand up; he practically launched himself over his desk, his heavy boots slamming against the floor as he sprinted toward the door. "Good to see you back, supers! We were about to stage a break-in at the medical bay if Recovery Girl kept us locked out for another hour!"

In a matter of seconds, the quiet classroom erupted into a chaotic, swirling vortex of multi-dimensional peers. The heavy hitters, the tactical geniuses, the magical icons, and the aspiring heroes all converged on the doorway like a tidal wave of solidarity, completely surrounding the six injured students in a tight, suffocating circle of support.

Mina Ashido was the first to bridge the gap, excitedly bouncing on the balls of her feet beside Kirishima, her pink skin glowing vibrantly in the sunset. Her yellow horns twitched with pure, unadulterated hype as she leaned directly into Midoriya's personal space, her hands waving wildly through the air.

"Ha! Man, I don't know what you were saying during that match, Midoriya, but you were all fired up, huh?!" Mina cheered, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "We could hear you screaming all the way through the monitoring room speakers! It was like watching a total movie hero! The way you just went whoosh and then bam against the wall!"

Izuku gasped, his green eyes widening into giant saucers as his face instantly flushed a violent, theatrical crimson. He stammered, his left hand coming up to frantically wave in front of his face as he tried to look anywhere but directly at the crowd of legendary figures surrounding him. "I-I—uh, thank you! It was just—the calculations were tight, and I didn't want to let the team down, and—!"

"Aw, don't be so modest, Midoriya!" Denki Kaminari chimed in, slinging a casual arm over the boy's uninjured shoulder, though he carefully avoided putting any pressure near the sling. "You literally broke the air with your bare fists! Meanwhile, I got turned into a literal extension cord for a girl with a giant hammer! You guys stole the whole show!"

While Midoriya was being playfully overwhelmed by the MHA contingent, a larger, more intense crowd was quietly shifting its focus toward the center of the group, where (Y/n) stood like an unyielding statue of iron and bandages.

Monkey D. Luffy stepped forward, his straw hat tilted back on his head, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. He didn't say anything at first. He just stared at the melted plates of (Y/n)'s armor, his dark eyes wide with a profound, primitive understanding of combat. He sniffed the air, smelling the lingering scent of burnt titanium and willpower. A massive, toothy grin slowly spread across Luffy's face, and he raised a single clenched fist into the air.

"You're a funny guy, Armor-boy!" Luffy laughed boisterously, his voice echoing off the concrete walls. "You don't have any mystery juice or weird fruit powers, but you kicked that angry explosion guy right through a wall! That was awesome! You eat a lot of meat, right? You gotta eat a ton of meat tonight or your bones won't grow back right!"

"He's right, you know," Vinsmoke Sanji said, stepping up behind Luffy, a freshly lit cigarette resting between his lips as he exhaled a thin, perfect stream of gray smoke toward the high ceiling. His sharp eyes looked over (Y/n)'s defensive posture, noting the slight, almost invisible tremor in the boy's knees. Sanji's expression was a mix of professional evaluation and deep, begrudging respect. "A body that operates at peak human limits without the cushion of energy reserves requires massive amounts of lipids and proteins to rebuild muscle tissue. I'm preparing a specialized high-calorie layout for the cafeteria tonight. You'd better show up, kid. I don't cook for people who waste their potential by starving themselves."

"Hmph. It was a reckless display," Satsuki Kiryuin's voice cut through the noise like an absolute razor blade, causing several of the louder students to instinctively quiet down. She stepped out from the crowd, her arms crossed over her chest, the long white sheath of her Bakuzan clicking softly against her boot. Her cold, sapphire eyes locked onto (Y/n)'s respiratory-reddened face. "You allowed your tactical parameters to be dictated by your opponent's aggression. You took a direct concussive blast to your spinal column simply because your lateral movement was a millisecond too slow."

She paused, the harshness of her words hanging in the air for a long, heavy second before her expression softened into an imperceptible nod of validation. "However... your execution of the kinetic transfer during the final strike was flawless. You demonstrated that a human mind, when honed by absolute discipline, can dismantle the arrogance of an innate gift. Do not let this victory make you complacent, (L/n). The next opponents will not leave you such a wide opening."

(Y/n) swallowed hard, the dry ache in his throat a lingering reminder of the smoke he had inhaled. He looked around the circle, his low self-esteem—the heavy, psychological weight of years spent being called 'useless' and 'powerless' by the elites of society—making him feel incredibly out of place amidst these legends. Yet, looking into the eyes of Luffy, Sanji, Satsuki, and Kirishima, he didn't see pity. He didn't see the condescending look people usually gave the 'quirkless kid.' He saw genuine, hard-earned respect.

"I... I won't," (Y/n) muttered, his voice gravelly but steady, his hand coming up to touch the scorched emblem of his father's company on his chest. "I calculated the risk. It wasn't... it wasn't perfect. But it was the only way to clear Weiss's line of sight."

At the mention of her name, the crowd naturally parted slightly, revealing Weiss Schnee standing near the back row of desks. She had changed out of her blood-stained combat uniform into the standard, pristine Union Academy blazer, her long white hair tied back into its signature asymmetrical ponytail. Her arms were tightly crossed over her chest, her icy blue eyes fixed entirely on (Y/n)'s bandaged frame. She looked furious, her cheeks slightly flushed, but her fingers were trembling against her own sleeves.

"It was completely idiotic," Weiss said, her voice high and sharp, though it lacked any real venom. She walked forward with slow, measured steps, the heels of her boots clicking rhythmically against the floor until she was standing directly in front of him. She looked up into his dark hair and intense red eyes, her breath catching slightly as she took in the sheer amount of gauze under his suit. "You are an absolute, insufferable fool, (Y/n). If you ever throw yourself into a localized explosion like that again just to manage my blind spots, I will personally use my Myrtenaster to freeze you to the floor before the match even begins."

Before (Y/n) could apologize, Weiss reached out, her small hand moving with a sudden, rare gentleness as her fingers lightly brushed against the edge of the titanium plate near his shoulder. Her voice dropped into a soft, private whisper that only he could hear through the surrounding noise. "But... thank you. You actually kept your word."

"Woah, hold on! Look at Natsu!" Akko Kagari's loud, dramatic whine suddenly broke the tension from the side of the room. She was pointing a finger at the pink-haired Dragon Slayer, who had literally slumped over a front-row desk, his face pressed flat against the wood as a tiny comic bubble of sleep drifted from his nose. "He's already asleep again! How can anyone sleep when the whole classroom is having a victory party?!"

"Let him rest, Akko," Lotte Jansson said softly, adjusting her glasses as she walked over with a small thermos of herbal tea. "He used up all his fire magic during the simulation. He's going to be like that until dinner."

Gon Freecss and Killua Zoldyck leaned against the chalkboard near the front podium, both of them watching the massive assembly of peers with bright, analytical interest. Gon was smiling widely, his hands behind his head. "Hey, Killua, did you see how (Y/n) adjusted his weight right before the kick? It looked just like the physical enhancement training we did with Biscuit, but he did it completely naturally!"

"Yeah, I saw," Killua replied, popping a chocolate ball into his mouth, a sharp, calculating glint in his eyes as he studied the structural design of (Y/n)'s pneumatic boots. "His nervous system must have been screaming from the adrenaline. To maintain that level of muscle precision while your skin is literally burning... that kid's got a screw loose. My family would love him."

The classroom was alive, a brilliant, roaring tapestry of different worlds, philosophies, and power structures all bleeding together under the golden evening light of Union Academy. For the first time in his entire life, (Y/n) (L/n) didn't feel like an anomaly hiding in the long shadow of the extraordinary. He stood right in the center of it, his body broken, his armor ruined, but his place among the gods of Class 1-A permanently, undeniably secured.

The collective response hung in the warm, gold-tinted air of the classroom, thick and undeniable.

(Y/n) shifted his weight slightly, a sharp, white-hot spike of agony flaring up from his lower back where the concrete impact had bruised his muscles to the bone. He winced, his fingers instinctively curling into his palms, but the physical pain was nothing compared to the sudden, disorienting shock of what he was hearing. He blinked, his glowing red eyes wide as he looked across the dense circle of multi-dimensional legends, heroes, and gods surrounding his scorched armor.

"Y-you guys were... worried about me?" (Y/n) stammered, his gravelly voice dropping an octave, completely stripping away the tactical authority he usually maintained during combat analysis.

The question came out so fragile, so laced with a raw, deeply rooted disbelief, that it caused an immediate, collective pause to ripple through the crowded room. For a split second, the boisterous laughter and the high-energy chatter died down. The students of Class 1-A exchanged confused, almost startled glances with one another. To them, the answer was as natural as breathing. But to a boy who had spent his entire childhood being shoved into lockers, overlooked by teachers, and labeled a genetic dead-end by a society obsessed with supernatural supremacy, the concept of people losing sleep over his safety was entirely alien.

Eijiro Kirishima's wide, shark-toothed grin faltered for just a moment, replaced by an expression of profound, fiercely protective gravity. He stepped forward, his heavy, hardened hand coming down firmly but carefully onto (Y/n)'s uninjured shoulder blade, his crimson eyes locking onto his friend's face with absolute, unwavering sincerity.

"Why wouldn't we be?!" Kirishima said, his voice ringing out clearly across the lecture hall, carrying the weight of a guy who valued loyalty above everything else. "We're your friends, right?!"

"Yeah! What kind of crazy question is that?!" Mina Ashido chimed in, her pink face puckering into a dramatic pout as she crossed her arms. "We watched you take a literal nitro-blast to the spine! I was practically tearing my hair out in the monitoring room! You're a part of Class 1-A now, (Y/n)! That means your fights are our fights, and your bruises make us mad!"

"Exactly," Izuku Midoriya said softly from beside him. Izuku adjusted his right arm within its white sling, his green eyes shimmering with a deep, empathetic understanding of exactly what was running through (Y/n)'s mind. Izuku knew what it felt like to be the quirkless outcast standing in a room full of giants. He knew the secondary trauma of expecting rejection even when you won. "When you collapsed down there... we didn't just see a tactical victory, (Y/n). We saw a classmate, a teammate... someone we care about, breaking his own limits to keep us safe. You don't have to carry that weight all by yourself anymore."

"Did you think we only value people who can shoot lasers out of their eyes?" Ryuko Matoi muttered, stepping forward and resting her hand on her hip, her single visible eye softening beneath her messy black bangs. She let out a short, rough chuckle. "Listen, kid. I've dealt with plenty of elite, stuck-up jerks who think their bloodline or their fancy gear makes them special. But heart? Pure, stupid, stubborn grit? You've got more of that than half the superpowered freaks I've ever run into. If anyone in this school looks down on you for not having a Quirk, they'll have to answer to my Scissor Blade first."

Even the younger students from the other dimensions were nodding along with a fierce, unbreakable solidarity. Gon Freecss smiled brightly, his hands locked behind his head as he stepped closer to the edge of the desk. "Back where I'm from, the strongest people aren't the ones who are born with natural gifts—it's the ones who train until their hands bleed to protect the people they love. You're exactly like that, (Y/n). Of course we're your friends!"

(Y/n) felt a sudden, tight lump form in the back of his throat. He looked from Kirishima's solid grip, to Mina's energetic nodding, to Midoriya's understanding smile, and finally back to Weiss, who was still standing a few paces away. The Schnee heiress hadn't joined in the loud, boisterous shouting, but she was looking at him with a quiet, fierce intensity that spoke louder than any cheer. She gave a small, elegant nod, her icy blue eyes softening just enough to let him know that she, too, considered him a vital, irreplaceable part of her world.

For seventeen years, (Y/n) (L/n) had believed that the only way to earn a spot in a society of gods was to become an unyielding, emotionless weapon of sheer willpower. He had expected to be feared, or perhaps respected for his utility, but never wanted. Never protected. Never mourned.

As the realization slowly washed over him—that he wasn't an isolated anomaly fighting a solitary war anymore, but a member of a fiercely loyal, universe-spanning family—the heavy, defensive armor around his heart finally cracked. The low self-esteem that had dictated his teenage years didn't vanish instantly, but the cold, suffocating shadow of his past felt a little lighter under the warm, golden light of the Class 1-A classroom.

The raw sincerity of Class 1-A hit (Y/n) harder than any concussive nitro-blast Bakugo could ever conjure. For a long, breathless moment, the tactical prodigy who could calculate structural stress points and kinetic trajectory down to the exact milliradian found himself completely defenseless. His breath caught in his throat, a sharp, ragged gasp slipping past his lips as the sheer emotional weight of their acceptance crashed through the high, reinforced walls he had spent seventeen years building around his heart.

A single tear spilled over his lower eyelid, reflecting the amber hues of the fading evening light, tracing a clean path through the soot and dried sweat covering his cheek. Then another followed. Before he could stop them, a silent, heavy sob shook his entire frame, forcing him to bow his head as his dark hair fell forward, casting his crimson eyes into shadow.

"I... I've never..." (Y/n) choked out, his voice cracking, thick with a lifetime of hidden rejection and isolation. He squeezed his eyes shut, his hands trembling violently at his sides as the heavy, scorched titanium armor on his chest rose and fell with his uneven breaths. "I've never actually had genuine friends before Union. Not a single one."

The quiet confession was dropped into the room like a heavy stone into a still pond, the ripples instantly freezing the high-energy atmosphere into a state of profound, collective heartbreak.

To these multi-dimensional legends, the statement was almost impossible to process. They looked at his fiercely disciplined form—a guy who could fight gods using pure human grit—and realized that beneath the terrifying tactical mind and the reinforced alloy suit, there was just a lonely, profoundly scarred boy who had spent his entire childhood walking through the world completely unseen. They realized that every grueling mile he ran, every martial arts form he practiced until his knuckles bled, and every sleepless night he spent studying combat footage hadn't just been driven by a desire to be a hero. It had been driven by a desperate, crushing need to prove that he deserved to exist in a world that treated him like a shadow.

Kirishima's grip on his shoulder tightened instantly, the hardened, rock-like skin of his palm providing an unyielding anchor of pure, masculine solidarity. Kirishima's own eyes went wide and glassy, a fierce, protective heat rising in his chest as he glared at the floor, wishing he could personally hunt down every single person who had ever made his friend feel like an outcast.

"Those absolute bastards," Kirishima hissed through his teeth, his shark-like grin completely replaced by a grim, fiercely loyal snarl. He looked up, his crimson eyes blazing as he looked directly at (Y/n). "Listen to me, man. I don't care what kind of elitist, arrogant jerks you had to deal with back home. They didn't see you. They were too blind to see what a real, true hero looks like. But we see you. You hear me? We're right here."

"Yeah! Those people sound completely awful!" Usagi Tsukino cried out, her deep exhaustion completely forgotten as she pushed her way to the front of the crowd. Tears were already welling up in her large blue eyes, her twin odangos shaking as she stamped her foot against the linoleum. "How could anyone look at you and not want to be your friend?! You're kind, you're brave, and you literally risked your life today to protect Weiss! If anyone ever tries to bully you again, I'll... I'll punish them in the name of the moon! And I'll get the other girls to help too!"

"They were fools who relied on the crutch of their genetics to measure worth," Satsuki Kiryuin spoke, her authoritative voice lower than usual, carrying a cold, dangerous edge that vibrated through the lecture hall. She stood perfectly still, her hands resting heavily on the hilt of her blade, but her sapphire eyes were fixed on the tears tracking through the soot on (Y/n)'s face. "They mistook an innate gift for superiority, and in doing so, they blinded themselves to the ultimate discipline. You have forged your own strength from nothing, (L/n). That makes you more dangerous—and more worthy—than any prodigy who was handed their power at birth."

Beside her, Ryuko Matoi let out a sharp, aggressive scoff, crossing her arms tightly as a dangerous, competitive smirk returned to her face. "Yeah, what she said. Plus, look around this room, kid. You think a bunch of pirates, magical girls, and devil kings are gonna let you stay lonely? You're stuck with us now. If you try to slide back into that 'powerless outcast' mindset, I'll personally drag you out of bed by your ears."

Mina Ashido didn't even use words. She simply lunged forward, throwing her arms around (Y/n)'s armored waist and burying her face against his scorched chest plate, completely ignoring the smell of soot and burnt metal. "We've got you, (Y/n)! We're your family now! You're never going back to that quiet place again!"

Izuku Midoriya stood just a foot away, his left hand coming up to wipe a stray tear from his own eye. He let out a soft, emotional laugh, his chest aching with a profound, mirror-like recognition of (Y/n)'s pain. "We really are, (Y/n). When I was quirkless, I thought I had to walk that path entirely alone too. But Class 1-A... we don't care about what you were born with. We care about who you are right now. And right now, you're our friend. Nothing will ever change that."

(Y/n) pulled his arm across his face, trying frantically to wipe away the tears that kept coming, but the overwhelming wave of genuine, unconditional affection from these legends was too powerful to fight. For the first time in his life, he didn't feel the need to be a weapon. He didn't feel the need to calculate the variables or analyze the threats. Under the warm, protective gaze of Class 1-A, the boy who had been born with absolutely nothing finally realized that he had just inherited the entire universe.

The cool evening breeze of the high-altitude courtyard swept through the open windows of Union Academy, but inside the third-floor corridor, the air had turned entirely stagnant, heavy with a suffocating, reality-shattering revelation.

"Kacchan!" Izuku Midoriya yelled down below, his voice echoing off the concrete walls of the courtyard as he sprinted past the heavy stone pillars. His throat was raw, his green curls plastered to his forehead with sweat, and his frame still hunched slightly to protect his freshly bandaged arm. Back in the lecture hall, his classmates had told him that Katsuki Bakugo had already packed up his gauntlets and stormed out for the day, choosing to skip the post-match medical brief entirely just to linger and sulk in the long, bleeding shadows of the school's open courtyard.

Katsuki stopped dead in his tracks several yards away, his broad shoulders tensed up to his ears, his fists clenched so tightly inside his pockets that the fabric groaned under the strain. He didn't turn around immediately. The low, orange sun caught the sharp, jagged edges of his explosive blonde hair, casting a long, imposing shadow across the stone pavers like a dark, jagged blade.

"What do you want, Deku?" Katsuki grumbled, his tone a low, dangerous growl dripping with a volatile mix of humiliation and absolute venom. Unbeknownst to either of the childhood rivals, high up in the dense canopy of an ancient oak tree framing the courtyard, a small, subtle technical surveillance wire—the detached tactical scout piece of (Y/n)'s micro-drones—shifted silently behind the rustling leaves, capturing every single breath of the conversation.

"...Today was really something, huh?" Izuku said down below, trying to force a small, encouraging smile onto his face, though his entire body was practically screaming from the lingering, bone-deep fatigue of One For All. He clutched his left fist against his chest, stepping a few paces closer into Katsuki's space. "Even though the matches were amazing, you did a great job too! Your reaction time under that kind of pressure—you're still incredible, you know?"

"Shut up," Katsuki growled, a low, animalistic hiss rising from the back of his throat. He whirled around violently, his face twisted into a snarl of raw, unadulterated fury, his crimson eyes bloodshot and trembling with pure, unmitigated spite. "I don't need your fucking pity, especially not from you! I lost to that Powerless bastard, and he had me on the ropes without even breaking a sweat! So stop standing there looking down on me!"

Up on the third floor of the main academy building, a completely different kind of panic was brewing behind a row of polished glass windows overlooking the courtyard.

"Wow, what a glowing review Bakugou's giving of you," Eijiro Kirishima deadpanned, his crimson eyes blinking as he leaned his head against the stone sill. (Y/n) was standing next to him, his hands holding a small tactical tablet that displayed the audio feed from his micro-drones hidden down in the trees. He focused entirely on the sensory data being fed directly back to the screen, translating the conversation for the small group huddled in the corridor.

The heavy clicking of uniform boots echoed down the hall, and the group turned to see Momo Yaoyorozu, Kyoka Jiro, Tenya Iida, Ochaco Uraraka,Maka Albarns, soul Evans,Asuka,Ruby Rose and Yuki Yuna walking quickly toward them.

Maka and soul had waited up after the dismissal bell specifically to talk to Ochaco about their respective aerial maneuvers from the previous matches, and the trio had evidently hit it off pretty well outside of class, laughing together until they noticed the dark, intense atmosphere hovering over the windowsill. "What the hell are they doing?" Soul said staring at the quartet.

"(Y/n)? Weiss? Sucy? Kirishima? What are you four still doing here?" Momo said, her brow furrowing with immediate concern as she took in (Y/n)'s stiff, defensive posture. Kyoka Jiro let out a sudden, muffled sigh, her headphone jacks twitching violently as she stared directly at the blinking tactical device. "I thought you all had to leave."

"We're listening in on and looking at Midoriya's and Bakugo's conversation outside," (Y/n) said, pointing out the window that showed them a distance away.

"Why?" Kyoka asked. Ochaco frowned deeply at the implication that (Y/n), Weiss, and Sucy thought that Izuku was lying about his Quirk like Katsuki claimed.

"Indeed! Snooping around private conversations is very unheroic!" Tenya said, shocked by (Y/n) invading Izuku's privacy like that.

"What you guys said earlier about him being Quirkless until recently was... suspicious to me. I mean, I know basically the ins and outs of Quirklessness since I was born, and Quirks that manifest later in life are incredibly rare. And something about this conversation feels like it could be important..." (Y/n) muttered.

Sucy Manbavaran merely leaned against the opposite wall, a small, glass vial of bubbling purple fluid turning over lazily between her pale fingers. A faint, cynical smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth beneath her long bangs. "Let the boy dig, Iida. Secrets always smell far more interesting than whatever Aizawa is teaching us tomorrow anyway."

"MIDORIYA GOT HIS QUIRK FROM SOMEONE ELSE?!" Weiss blurted out, completely losing her typical aristocratic composure as the tablet speaker cracked with clear audio.

"What!?" everyone else shouted, with only (Y/n) trying to remain silent.

"Sssh! Quiet! We can't let him know we're here!" (Y/n) said, putting his finger up to his mouth. That certainly wasn't something he expected to hear from Izuku though.

Down in the courtyard, the emotional dam had completely broken.

"But you really are, Kacchan!" Izuku said, clutching his newly healed fist. "Even though the odds were against you, you still charged head on to fight! That's... that's really incredible you know! I always admired that about you!"

"Shut up! God, shut up!" Katsuki cried, baring his teeth. "I don't need to be reminded that I lost! And that there are plenty of other Quirks just as, if not better than mine! And you! You keep lying about how your Quirk manifested late! That's almost unheard of anywhere! At least that quirkless bastard's honest!"

"I'm not lying, Kacchan!" Izuku cried. "I... I got my Quirk from someone else!"

".... What?" Katsuki said, a vein threatening to pop on his head.

"Someone... someone else give me their Quirk, which is why it manifested late," Izuku said, realizing that he blurted out the truth about his Quirk. He hadn't even told his mom about One For All yet. "I... can't say who gave it to me, but it's why my body just breaks when I use it. But I'm gonna make it mine, and when I do, I'll be just as, if not better, a hero like you!"

Katsuki gritted his teeth. "Bullshit! A Quirk that can be passed down!? Nothing like that exists! But whatever! You think you can beat me!? Well, I'm gonna beat everyone else in this class! I'll be the best fucking hero here, and not even that quirkless bastard can stop me! You won't even stand a chance against me by then!"

He stormed off, but before Izuku could say anything else, All Might ran past him, and stood in front of Katsuki, hands on his shoulders.

"Young Bakugo! That sort of self-respect and ambition is great for a hero, whether pro or in-training!" All Might said, apparently having caught the tail end of what Katsuki had said. "So take heed, young man, and apply what-"

"Shut up!" Katsuki said, tearing up. "You're the one I need to beat the most, and I'll be even greater than you!"

"This boy's will certainly be an impressive hero, if only he didn't have that attitude," All Might thought, as Katsuki walked off. He turned to Izuku, and looked at his apprentice. "So what is it that you two talked about, Young Midoriya?"

"Oh, I, um... I told him that I got my Quirk from someone else," Izuku admitted. While All Might was smiling, the shock was clear on his face.

"You told him about One for All?" he asked.

"I-I-I didn't tell him I got it from you!" Izuku clarified. "And he just... seemed to write it off as another lie, too."

"Hm, while I'm not happy that you told him that it exists at all, at least he didn't buy it," All Might said, his hand on his chin in thought. "But you can't tell people about One for All. It's a Quirk that bears a heavy responsibility, and-"

All Might and Izuku heard an unnatural ruffling in a nearby tree. It didn't seem like it was a bird. All Might took a peek into the tree, his sharp eyes instantly identifying the subtle optical lens of a high-grade Jundo Senryoku micro-drone tucked neatly inside a cluster of leaves.

"It can't be-"

Up on the third floor, the tactical feedback layout instantly flashed red on (Y/n)'s screen.

"We gotta GO!" (Y/n) said, his tactical instincts taking over as he slammed the tablet shut. "All Might's the one who gave Midoriya his Quirk, and he just found my surveillance drone!"

"What!?" Kirishima said. "Call them back!"

"I'll leave them! I can construct a new feed later—run!" (Y/n) barked, his voice tight.

The group of teens began to rush out, realizing how big of a secret that they all had stumbled into. (Y/n) swung the double doors of the central lobby open, his boots skidding across the polished marble, only to stop dead in his tracks. Weiss almost crashed directly into his backplate, her breath catching as her icy blue eyes widened in shock.

Standing right there in the center of the lobby, bathed in the long, dramatic red beams of the setting sun, was All Might. He held the deactivated Jundo Senryoku micro-drone in his massive palm, his signature grin completely strained, tight, and dangerously upset. Izuku trailed behind him, staring at them in horror as he saw the gathered crowd of his classmates.

"All Might! Um, fancy meeting you here! And with my missing gear too, I was wondering where it went!" (Y/n) said, his voice steady but a bead of sweat tracing down his neck. All Might's smile remained fixed, though it was incredibly clear it was strained and a bit upset.

"How much did you hear?" he asked, bluntly.

"If we say 'nothing at all', would you believe us?" (Y/n) asked, meeting the Symbol of Peace's eyes. All Might stared back at him with an overwhelming, silent pressure. "I'll take that as a no..."

This was certainly not how they thought their first ACTUAL Day at Union would end.

The massive secret of One For All has been exposed to a core group of Class 1-A students, creating an intense tactical and political deadlock.

The heavy, soundproofed door of the faculty breakroom clicked shut with a solid, definitive snap, sealing the thirteen students away from the rest of Union Academy. The room was bathed in the clinical, overhead hum of fluorescent tubes, casting a sharp contrast against the dramatic red and amber hues of the sunset fading outside the frosted glass windows.

The atmosphere inside was thick, suffocating, and completely deadlocked.

The sprawling roster of Class 1-A sat in a tense, uneven semicircle. Eijiro Kirishima, Momo Yaoyorozu, Kyoka Jiro, Ochaco Uraraka, and Ruby Rose had crowded onto the long, synthetic leather couch, their bodies tense and unyielding. Weiss Schnee sat perfectly erect in a nearby plastic chair, her hands folded tightly in her lap, her pale face resembling carved marble. Sucy Manbavaran, Maka Albarn, Soul Evans, Asuka, and Yuna Yuki had taken up whatever matching seats they could find, while Tenya Iida sat rigidly on the very edge of his cushion, his glasses reflecting the harsh overhead lights as he stared down at his knees in profound, structured discomfort.

Only (Y/n) (L/n) had opted to remain standing.

He planted his feet firmly behind the center of the couch, his posture stiff and military-precise despite the sharp, white-hot flares of pain still radiating from the thick medical bandages wrapped beneath his scorched Jundo Senryoku uniform. His intense, glowing red eyes were locked entirely on Toshinori Yagi.

Directly opposite the teenagers, All Might sat heavily in a reinforced wooden chair. His massive, Herculean shoulders were slouched forward, his large, white-gloved hands resting flat against his knees. The legendary Symbol of Peace looked completely uncharacteristic—his vibrant, cinematic smile was entirely absent, replaced by a deep, troubled furrow in his brow as his mind violently spun through the catastrophic geopolitical and academic variables of what had just occurred. He was trying to figure out what to do, what to say, and how to contain a secret that had survived for generations in the shadows.

"...I'm very displeased about all of this," he finally said, letting the words escape his mouth in a low, gravelly rumble that lacked its usual theatrical thunder. He looked up, his deep-set blue eyes scanning the faces of the children before him. "I had zero intentions of letting anyone else know about this secret beyond Young Midoriya and a few trusted others, and yet—"

"L-look! If you want to blame anyone, blame ME!" (Y/n) barked out, cutting the legendary hero off without a second thought as he stepped aggressively forward, throwing his entire weight into the defense of his classmates. His tactical mind was already calculating the worst-case scenarios—expulsion, blacklisting, or corporate retaliation from his father's faction—and he refused to let anyone else take the fall for his operational curiosity. "I'm the one who got suspicious of Midoriya saying that he thought he was Quirkless until recently! I'm the one who designed the micro-drones, I deployed the surveillance wire, and I was the one who wanted to find out more about it! Everyone else has absolutely nothing to do with this!"

"It's not entirely his fault," Kirishima interjected instantly, his skin hardening slightly in a display of fierce, masculine solidarity as he leaned forward off the couch.

"Sucy and I willingly spied on Midoriya's and Bakugo's conversation, too," the sharp-toothed martial artist declared, crossing his arms tightly.

"In fact, the only ones that aren't at fault here are Weiss, Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Iida, Ochaco, Maka, Soul, Asuka, Ruby, and Yuna," Sucy added, her voice dropping its usual eccentric, chaotic cadence as she looked around at the rest of the room. She bit her lower lip, a rare, uncharacteristic flicker of genuine guilt crossing her features beneath her long bangs. "They just happened to come across us while we were listening in to the tablet feed, and Weiss only stepped in after she heard what Midoriya blurted out. So if you need to punish anyone for breaking the academy rules, punish the three of us. Not them. Please."

Izuku Midoriya sat in the far corner of the room, his bandaged right arm resting heavily in its stark white sling. He looked completely small, his emerald eyes watering as he deliberately averted his gaze from Ochaco and the others, thoroughly ashamed of the fact that he had been living a massive, systemic lie right in front of the people who had welcomed him as a friend.

"Easy there... I don't intend on punishing any of you," All Might said softly, his deep voice carrying a wave of profound exhaustion that instantly caused a collective sigh of relief to ripple through the teenagers. He rubbed the bridge of his nose, his shoulders dropping even lower. "I just... I have absolutely no idea how to talk about this to an entire classroom of different worlds."

Click.

The electronic lock on the breakroom door disengaged, and the heavy panel slid open with a smooth, pressurized hiss.

"Then why don't we talk to them together, All Might?"

The cheerful, high-pitched voice cut through the stagnant tension like a razor. Principal Nezu stepped into the room, his pristine white fur catching the light, his small paws tucked neatly behind his back. Behind him filed the absolute peak of the multi-dimensional academic hierarchy: Professor Ozpin, holding his cane with a practiced, elegant neutrality; the legendary shinobi master Hanzō, his eyes sharp and analytical; Lord Death, his massive, cartoonish foam hands swaying gently but carrying an undeniable cosmic pressure; Headmistress Miranda; and Sirzechs Lucifer, his crimson hair radiating a faint, stabilizing demonic aura. The rest of the Union Headmasters moved into the room, instantly transforming the humble teacher's breakroom into an administrative tribunal.

"Headmasters?" (Y/n) muttered, his red eyes widening as his tactical mind instantly scrambled to re-evaluate the power balance in the room. He gripped the back of the couch tightly. "You... you knew about this?"

"Yes, along with a few others! I was actively checking the courtyard security cameras, and judging from the highly unusual, panicked way everyone was sprinting through the central lobby, I guessed exactly what had transpired!" Principal Nezu said, letting out a small, bright laugh that felt entirely surreal given the gravity of the situation. He hopped up onto the edge of a nearby counter, looking over at the towering hero. "So why don't you relax, All Might? We can tell them everything now, since they've managed to get themselves this far into the labyrinth anyway."

"I... you're right," All Might sighed, his large frame physically deflating as he gave into the collective authority of the administration.

FUSHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Without warning, a massive, explosive torrent of white, pressurized steam erupted from All Might's body, expanding outward in a concussive wave of heat and displaced air. The sheer velocity of the sudden wind forced every single student to shield their faces, their eyes snapping shut as the white cloud completely obscured the center of the room. Ruby's cloak whipped violently, and Tenya instinctively held his glasses in place against the localized gale.

When the dense steam finally dissipated into the ceiling vents, the heroic, seven-foot-tall Herculean god of peace was entirely gone.

Sitting in the exact same wooden chair was a shockingly emaciated, skeletal figure of a man. His oversized clothes hung loosely off a frame that looked like nothing but sharp bones and sunken skin, his long, jagged golden bangs falling limply around a hollow, shadowed face. His deep-set, sunken eyes gleamed like two tiny, bright stars out of absolute darkness, staring back at the stunned, paralyzed silence of the thirteen students who had just witnessed the god of their world completely shatter into a mortal man.

Sighing heavily, All Might raised his trembling, skeletal left hand and gently hooked his thumb under the hem of his oversized white undershirt. With a slow, deliberate movement, he lifted the fabric to expose the left side of his emaciated torso.

The thirteen students collectively gasped, a few of them shifting uncomfortably in their seats. Embedded deep into his sunken ribcage was a horrifying, massive, star-shaped scar. The skin was violently puckered, webbed with thick, discolored keloid tissue that radiated outward like a grotesque blast radius, looking as though a part of his very soul had been violently torn away.

"Five years ago, I sustained a catastrophic injury fighting a villain so vile, so uniquely malicious, that my body completely withered away into what you see standing before you now," Toshinori Yagi explained, his voice now a hollow, raspy wheeze that lacked even a fraction of the booming resonance he possessed just moments prior. He let the shirt drop back down, his gaunt face sinking further into the shadows. "Most of my respiratory system was destroyed, and my stomach was removed entirely. My muscular, heroic form is simply me putting every single ounce of whatever dwindling power I have left into my physical frame, forcefully inflating my muscles to mimic my previous state. I can only maintain that illusion for about three hours a day now—a limit that grows shorter with every setting sun. That, my young friends, is one of the primary reasons I accepted the call to teach here at Union."

"It was entirely my suggestion that he did so," Principal Nezu added from his perch on the counter. The chimera tilted his head, his black, bead-like eyes reflecting the clinical hum of the breakroom lights as he adjusted his tiny waistcoat. "An academic position provided the perfect public cover to explain why the world's Symbol of Peace was suddenly performing far less active hero work. More importantly, it granted him a secure perimeter to search for a potential successor among the multi-dimensional elite. Though, as destiny would have it, he found young Mr. Midoriya long before he ever set foot on this faculty floor."

Asuka leaned forward, her blue eyes wide as she gripped the armrest of her chair, her brow furrowed in deep, confusion. "So... why him? Out of all the people in the universe—out of all the prodigies, magical girls, and elite fighters across multiple dimensions—why choose a boy who had absolutely nothing?"

"Well, I met Young Midoriya on the very day of the infamous Sludge Villain incident," All Might began to explain, his sunken eyes drifting toward the floorboards as if watching the memory play out in the polished wood.

Behind the couch, (Y/n)'s tactical mind instantly fired, cross-referencing the keyword with the massive archive of local and meta-human combat data he had spent his entire childhood obsessively cataloging. His intense red eyes narrowed as a specific public broadcast file from a year ago snapped into perfect, crystalline focus. He took another long, analytical look at Izuku's trembling, bandaged frame, and the final piece of the structural puzzle violently clicked into place.

"That's right!" (Y/n) said, his voice dropping into a sharp, stunned realization that caused Weiss and Kirishima to glance back at him. "There was a viral news report about a major villain lockdown in the commercial district. A green-haired middle schooler bypassed the pro-hero barricades and ran straight into a burning alleyway to try and claw a hostage out from inside a liquid-mass sludge quirk. And I guess that hostage was Bakugo, since the news footage showed localized nitro-explosions tearing up the street, right? I do remember reading the translated police logs mentioning the boy was legally Quirkless... I just don't know why my brain didn't connect the dots until this exact second."

"Yeah," Izuku said, finally breaking his agonizing silence. His voice was incredibly small, cracked, and heavy with a profound, systemic shame that made him look completely deflated in his oversized hero uniform. He clutched his healed left fist tighter against his chest, his eyes glued to his own knees. "It was... it was entirely my fault that the villain was even loose in the city to begin with. All Might had already captured him. He had sealed him inside two plastic soda bottles, but I... I was so desperate. I lunged forward and grabbed All Might by the leg just as he was jumping across the skyline. The sudden drag and wind resistance knocked the bottles clean out of his pockets, and they broke on the streets below because I was being a reckless, selfish idiot who just wanted to ask him a single question..."

"Which was?" Maka Albarn asked softly, her green eyes fixed on Izuku with a deep, unyielding empathy, while Soul Evans silently rested a supportive hand on her shoulder.

"If I could be a hero... without a Quirk," Izuku whispered, the confession hanging in the clinical air of the room like a physical weight. He looked directly at (Y/n) as he said it, a silent, mutual understanding passing between the two boys. Izuku had spent sixteen years enduring the exact same suffocating, societal isolation that (Y/n) had fought his entire life to escape.

"And at that specific point in my life, I had grown blind," All Might explained, his raspy voice dropping into a tone of deep, devastating regret that shocked every single student in the room. To hear the legendary All Might—the man who smiled in the face of death and told the world that anyone could achieve greatness—admit to crushing a powerless child's dream was a reality-shattering revelation for the teenagers. "I was entirely consumed by the agonizing pain of my own wound, terrified of the dark shadows growing in the corners of the world, and completely forgotten what the true, raw essence of being a hero actually meant. I looked at that quirkless boy, and I told him no. I told him to be realistic. A decision that I will regret for the rest of my days."

The breakroom fell into a heavy, breathless silence, the students staring at the skeletal god of peace, realizing for the first time that even icons could bleed, and even symbols could falter.

"I trust that you of all people understand, Mr. (L/n)?" Principal Nezu said, his sharp, dark eyes fixing directly on the black-haired teen standing behind the couch.

(Y/n) nodded slowly, his analytical mind quietly working through the data. He looked at Izuku again, noticing the raw, familiar tension in the boy's shoulders. It seemed like true heroism just naturally ran in the blood of the Powerless, forcing them to run toward danger while everyone else calculated the odds.

"And it was on that very day, after witnessing his unmatched bravery, that I entrusted my Quirk to him—the sacred power known as One For All," All Might said, his skeletal frame casting a long, jagged shadow across the floor tiles. "It is a dynamic power passed down from one generation to the next, with each user polishing it, refining it, and strengthening its core. I was the eighth torchbearer, and young Izuku here is the ninth."

"Wait, there were more before you?!" Kyoka Jiro said, her eyes widening in absolute shock as her headphone jacks twitched against her neck.

"Indeed. I would even go so far as to say that this is one of the very first Quirks to ever exist in human history," All Might answered, his sunken eyes flashing with a grave solemnity.

"I... I can't believe this!" Tenya Iida said, slamming both hands against his temples, his rigid posture completely fracturing under the sheer weight of the revelation. "This... this is just so much history to absorb all at once! A foundational secret of this magnitude!"

"Yeah, I... I certainly didn't expect to learn about any of this today," Momo Yaoyorozu said, taking in a deep, stabilizing breath as she tried to process the logistical and societal implications of a transferable superpower.

"So you chose Midoriya to inherit your power, huh?" (Y/n) said, shifting his gaze downward to look at his own calloused hands. His knuckles were still bruised from the grueling martial arts training he forced himself through every single day. "I... I can understand that choice. He had the spirit before he ever had the muscle."

"But why keep it a total secret?" Ruby Rose asked, leaning forward on the couch, her silver eyes filled with genuine confusion. "If it's such an amazing power for heroes, shouldn't the world know?"

"It's probably because of the people who would want to violently take it by force, right?" Sucy Manbavaran said, resting her chin in her hand with a lazy, cynical tilt of her head. "Think about it. The legendary Quirk of the Number One Hero can be completely inherited? Every black-market syndicate and rogue faction in the world would be hunting him like a prize."

"Indeed, One For All can only be known by a trusted few," All Might confirmed, giving Sucy a nod of grim validation. "The power it stockpiles over time will only become greater and more volatile, and there are many dark forces who would actively seek to make it their own. Not to mention the absolute chaos the world would be thrown into if the public learned that the Symbol of Peace didn't possess a natural-born Quirk."

"So... is that why you constantly break your own bones, Deku?" Ochaco Uraraka asked, her voice dropping into a soft, aching whisper as she turned her head to look directly at Izuku.

"Yeah, I guess so..." Izuku said softly, his voice trembling as he stared at his splinted, bandaged right arm. "I still don't fully understand how exactly One For All operates within my body, even after working out my physical frame for ten grueling months just to contain its raw baseline. It's still not enough. My limbs and fingers just violently shatter because the output is too massive for a human vessel to control."

(Y/n) crossed his arms tightly in deep thought, beginning to pace a small, calculated circle in place behind the couch. His tactical mind was already breaking down the kinetic feedback loop of Midoriya's power.

"How did you expect to keep this a complete secret for so long, though?" Weiss Schnee asked, her sharp, aristocratic voice cutting through the ambient hum of the room. Every eye instantly turned to her as she sat perfectly erect in her chair. "There are telepathic types of powers across our dimensions, and there are plenty of abilities that let intelligence networks spy on targets with ease. Don't you think there are already a handful of dangerous people who know the truth?"

"Luckily, over my decades of operational service, I've learned many psychological tricks to prevent those with telepathic Quirks from reading my mind perfectly," All Might said, scratching the back of his neck with a sudden, sheepish grin. "Which I have not yet taught Young Midoriya—dang it, I knew I was forgetting a crucial part of his curriculum... And that's in addition to needing to help him break his severe muttering habit... Usually, I am far more careful when discussing One For All, but I suppose in my haste to check on young Bakugo, I had entirely neglected to make sure that the courtyard perimeter was secure."

"Regardless, I hope you all understand the absolute necessity of why myself and Young Midoriya kept this a lifelong secret," the skeletal hero added, his expression hardening as he looked across the semicircle of teenagers. "You absolutely cannot tell a single soul about what you've stumbled into today. This is... this is a matter of global security."

"Yeah, no worries," (Y/n) said, stepping out from behind the couch and instantly catching All Might's attention. "Your secret is completely safe with me."

All Might blinked, his hollow eyes widening slightly. "Really, Young (L/n)?"

"Yeah. Are you worried that I'd run off and tell people just because of who my dad is?" (Y/n) asked, a faint, knowing smirk playing on his lips as he referenced Kurogane's fierce battle organization, his father doesn't hate metahuman abilities. He just wants humanity to stop acting like they're all that matters because in the end, what really makes a difference is what a person can do,not their powers!

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply—"

"It's fine, I get the structural concern. But you don't need to be worried," (Y/n) said, walking entirely around the couch to face the emaciated Symbol of Peace directly. "This is your secret, and it's Midoriya's. I told the entire academy about my lack of powers because that choice was mine to make. This? This isn't my story to tell. I'm an honest guy, All Might, but I can certainly keep a secret when lives are on the line."

"Yeah!" Kirishima roared, jumping up from the cushions of the couch to slam a supportive hand against (Y/n)'s shoulder plate. "You don't need to worry about me either, Professor! Us guys have gotta stick together through the thick of it! This is super important, top-secret hero stuff, so we won't let a single word slip to the rest of the school, right, Sucy?"

"Of course," Sucy replied in her usual deadpan cadence, sliding off her seat to join her friends. "It's still a massive amount of weird biological data that I need to process, but I think I can manage it... especially if it means I can help out Midoriya with training his Quirk using some of my specialized testing irritants." She let out a low, ominous cackle that made Izuku shiver.

"...While it genuinely pains my orderly nature to be burdened with an unrecorded secret, all great heroes must carry their own hidden crosses, and they are no less heroic for doing so, right?" Tenya Iida said, forcefully pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose before throwing his left arm into a rigid, respectful salute. "You can place your absolute trust in me with this information, Midoriya! All Might!"

"Me too!" Ruby added, nodding her head up and down so fast her red-tipped hair became a blur. "We're a team now!"

"I guess I'll have to keep it close to the chest, too, since you're handing us your absolute trust," Kyoka Jiro shrugged, though a soft, supportive smile tugged at her lips. "I certainly didn't expect to stumble into a multi-generational legacy today, but hey, a lot of wild things happened that I didn't anticipate."

"It wouldn't be right if I said no, especially after learning the terrifying structural weight of this power," Momo Yaoyorozu said, offering a warm, reassuring smile to the skeletal teacher. "I will do my absolute part to ensure this secret remains strictly limited to this room."

(Y/n) and the rest of the students slowly turned their attention to Ochaco, who was still sitting quietly on the center of the couch, her hands clasped tightly together.

"I'm sorry," she said softly, her shoulders trembling slightly as she looked up. "I'm just... I always thought Bakugo was just being an arrogant jerk and lying about Deku's past. But to hear that the rumors were true in a way... it just kinda hurts to learn. Like... he didn't tell me because... he didn't trust me enough to handle it."

Izuku immediately looked away, a sharp, suffocating spike of guilt crushing his chest. He realized that by guarding the secret of his legacy, he had inadvertently deeply wounded a friend who had been by his side since the entrance exam. It wasn't like he ever intended to push her away, but the reality of the deception was still causing real pain.

"Don't be upset with Young Midoriya, Young Uraraka," All Might said, rising from his chair with a slow, creaking effort to step forward and place a gentle, reassuring white-gloved hand on her shoulder. "That entire burden of secrecy should be placed squarely on my shoulders. I am the one who explicitly asked him to bury his past to protect the peace."

"...Right," Ochaco said, drawing a deep breath and perking her head up, a familiar spark of determination returning to her brown eyes. "I don't blame you for keeping the secret either, All Might. But now that I'm finally in the loop, I'm going to give it my absolute all to support Deku!"

"I've been meaning to ask, though... why exactly are you calling Midoriya 'Deku' anyway? Doesn't that literally translate to someone who is entirely useless?" Asuka asked, raising an eyebrow in genuine confusion as she looked between the two. "That's a bit mean for a hero name, isn't it?"

"It's... a degrading nickname that Kacchan—I mean, Bakugo—gave me when we were kids to remind me of what I was," Izuku explained, rubbing his back nervously.

"But I just think it has a really great, unyielding 'I can do it!' feel to it, you know?" Ochaco said, smiling brightly as she defended the name.

"Heh, I guess it really does," (Y/n) said, a genuine smile breaking through the lingering exhaustion on his face.

He walked directly up to Izuku's corporate-mangled uniform, stepping past the headmasters, and held his right hand out in a firm, unyielding position for a fist bump.

"Since you're still trying to get the absolute hang of utilizing One For All without breaking yourself apart, we're all going to help you train with it, brainstorm tactical applications, and map out your physical limits, alright? That way, you can give it your absolute all to become the hero you want to be!"

Izuku stared at (Y/n)'s extended hand, his mouth slightly agape as his green eyes began to well with fresh, heavy tears. "You're... you're not even a little bit jealous of me?" he stammered. "That I... that I actually got a Quirk when I was born completely Quirkless?"

"No way, I'm actually pretty damn happy for you!" (Y/n) said, his voice ringing with absolute sincerity as he gestured to the room around them. "It proves to the world that I'm not the only Powerless guy who's out here trying to rewrite his own destiny. You and I are just two incredibly lucky Powerless guys in a crazy world, both on a massive journey to become true Heroes! So we've gotta help each other out through the worst of it, right?"

(Y/n) pointed a thumb over his shoulder at the massive, smiling lineup behind him. "Look at the room, Midoriya. You've got a whole damn team of friends now who are ready to carry that weight with you."

Momo, Weiss, Kirishima, Ruby, and the rest of the thirteen students gave a synchronized, affirmative nod, their smiles bright under the faculty room lights. Izuku stared at the incredible display of unconditional solidarity before finally bringing his left hand up, slamming his fist against (Y/n)'s in a full-hearted, emotional fist bump as tears violently flowed down his flushed cheeks.

"I-I-I'm so incredibly sorry, everyone! It's just—I—thank you so much! I was so terrified of how you'd all react to the lie, and I... I just—"

BONK!

With lightning-fast precision, (Y/n) brought his knuckles down in a sharp, comical knock right against the top of Izuku's green curls.

Izuku winced, his dramatic crying instantly cutting off as he blinked through his tears in total shock.

"Dude..." (Y/n) deadpanned, his red eyes dropping into a flat, exhausted expression. "Shut the hell up."

A collective wave of bright, roaring laughter instantly shattered the lingering tension of the breakroom, the headmasters smiling from the doorway as the two boys, one Powerless and the other formerly Powerless stood side-by-side, ready to take on the world.
