It starts with a Jet Black Hedgehog, named Shadow, who's seen walking through the sidewalk as his expression was solemn.

????:(voice over)"I can tell, you went through a rough time. But we all experience these things one way or another, so, you're not alone with being someone who has trauma"

Which the scene change to Shadow talking to a psychologist, as the two were in a room alone.

Shadow:"... I'm not sure if I can move on. I've been going through, a very rough time, for the last couple of years. And I've been working, too much to forget what happened years ago"

Singer:🎵Don't you know I'm no good for you?🎵

As a different scene showed Shadow who poured himself glass of iced Whiskey, while mixing it with rum, then took a sip of it

Singer:🎵I've learned to lose you can't afford to🎵

The Scene changes to Shadow who's in a living room, having a argument with his best friend: Rouge.

Shadow:(💢)"It's my decision! My damn decision, not the commander's! Not Sonic's! Not even yours, all mine!"

Then it changed to Shadow's face close up to Rouge's.

Shadow:"Team Dark, is no more. I'm done" which Rouge's face showed to be distressed after what he told her.

Singer:🎵Tore my shirt to stop you bleeding🎵

Then scene changes to the Restoration HQ as most of the teams are in the room, while discussing about Shadow.

Knuckles:"what if Shadow quitted?"

Sonic:"what do you mean?"

Knuckles:"he probably had enough, and decided to stop fighting"

Sonic:"that's not like Shadow"

Singer:🎵But nothing ever stops you leaving🎵

The Scene began to show Shadow and Sonic talking with each other.

Shadow:"it was me, Sonic. Not G.U.N. not Tower. Not Rouge, Not Eggman. It's all me"

Singer:🎵Quiet when I'm coming home and I'm on my own🎵

The Scene showed Eggman who's looking at the monitor, and saw what Shadow was going through.

Eggman:"... Guess, he had hit rock bottom"

Singer:🎵I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that🎵

The first scene showed Shadow drinking wine calmly while sitting by his dinner table in his apartment, but Tears was streaming down his face.

Then another scene showed Shadow sitting against a wall in the alleyway, crying softly out of sadness.

Another scene came and showed Shadow calmly lying down on a field of grass, while looking at the stars at night in the sky.

Singer:🎵I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that🎵

A different scene showed Shadow watching a old tape about his deceased sister figure: Maria, as he was crying while muffling his sobs.

Then another scene showed Shadow looking at videos of Team Dark as he was sobbing softly while realising that he misses his team, the scene changed as Shadow is seen in front of the Grave of Maria, which he smiles softly at it.

Shadow:(softly)"good to see you, Maria"

The Scene then changed Where Shadow is seen talking to a familiar Pink hedgehog: Amy.

Amy:"I get what you did was over the line, but it won't stop me and the others caring about you, cause we're a family"

Singer:🎵Don't you know too much already?🎵

Another Scene cuts back to where Shadow and Rouge Arguing.

Rouge:"seriously, Shadow. You need to let go of what happened back then"

Shadow:(💢)"that's exactly what I hate about you, Rouge. You always say that I should move on, but you have no idea of what that event has done to me! You insensitive Woman!"

Singer:🎵I'll only hurt you if you let me🎵

Then Scene changed back to Shadow talking to Amy.

Shadow:"Family? ....... You and the others are no Maria" which Amy's Expression shown to be hurt from what he said to her.

The Scene changes to Amy crying to Vanilla and Cream who comforted her from the conversation she had with Shadow.

Amy:(sobbing)"I don't know what I'm doing wrong!" As she continues sobbing.

Singer:🎵Call me friend, but keep me closer🎵

Another scene shows Rouge crying softly, as Knuckles was comforting her, after she had the argument with Shadow, then the scene changed back with Amy and the Rabbit Family.

Cream:"it's gonna be okay, Ms Amy"

Which Cream and Vanilla embraced Amy more as she was still crying, then the scene changed where Shadow was talking to his psychologist.

Shadow:"yeah, I don't think I'm ... Keeping the promise I made to Maria"

Singer:🎵And I'll call you when the party's over🎵

Then the Scene switched to where Shadow is seen sitting on his bed, while taking deep breaths.

Shadow:"I don't want to be seen as a Monster or a Weapon"

Singer:🎵Quiet when I'm coming home and I'm on my own🎵

Then the scene changes to where Shadow is standing in a empty room of his old Home: the Space Colony Ark.

Shadow:"... But I don't know who I am anymore..."

Then lots of scenes shown flashbacks of Shadow, protecting civilians, while also Destroying Badniks from Eggman, while also fighting side by side with either Team Dark or Others he teamed up in the past.

Singer:🎵I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that🎵

Psychologist:(voice over)"you'll always be the person, who saves people who couldn't protect themselves"

Then the scene cuts back with Shadow and the Psychologist.

Shadow:"what if I don't want to be that anymore.... What if I.... Just want to be someone who rests after being in so much pain"

Singer:🎵I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that🎵

A Different Scene then shows Shadow, who's sitting down as the others were around him, which he starts apologizing to them.

Shadow:"you've all always... Been there for me, and I've... Taken it for granted, I realised that now. even though I've keep pushing you all away, you continue being there for me.... And... I'm so sorry.... Am I not seen as family anymore?"

Singer:🎵But nothing is better, sometimes. Once we've both said our goodbyes🎵

Vanilla:"of course not, dear"

Espio:"we'll never abandon one another"

Singer:🎵Let's just let it go🎵

Sonic:"yeah, that's what family and friends are about, never leave anyone behind" which he smirks at him.

Singer:🎵Let me let you go🎵

Then a different scene shows Shadow sitting down in a field of grass, while holding his knees together.

Shadow:".... Everyone always leaves"

Then a Flashback began to show Shadow and Maria looking at the stars, as his Sister Figure was holding a love story book.

Shadow:"Maria. Even if I found where I can belong.... Will I find someone who would.... Love me for who I am?"

Singer:🎵Quiet when I'm coming home and I'm on my own🎵

Maria:"of course. I'm sure there will be someone who's bound to be your true love, Shadow"

The scene changes back to Shadow sitting in the Field of Grass, then he sensed someone raising their hand at him, as he looked up to see a Female Orange Echidna: Tikal. who's giving a kind gentle smile at him and was giving him a hand, which Shadow took her hand and stood up.

Singer:🎵I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that🎵"

The Scene immediately switched to Shadow and Tikal who were wearing Wedding Attires as they looked at each other lovingly.

Shadow:"Will you always be with me, Tikal?"

Singer:🎵I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that🎵"

Tikal:*smiles softly* "I always will, Shadow the Hedgehog"

Which they move their faces forward and had a loving kiss together.
