Scene

(The dazzling rays of sun are coming through a crystal clear window of room. Room is well managed. Jane is sleeping and her sister comes and wakes her up.)

Bridget: Jane! Jane! (Shakes her shoulder)

Jane: yeah… (Half awaken and half asleep)

Bridget: Today is your farewell. Did you forget?

Jane: so what?

Bridget: look… what time is it?

Jane: (looks at clock) I’m late.

(Bridget goes out and Jane rushes towards her dressing room. She gets dressed up and goes out towards the Dining table)

Bridget: Jane are you ready to go... to U.K

Jane: yes (unhappily) 

Bridget: I know it’s difficult for you… but we have to shift”

Jane: I know (in a low volume)

Bridget: Mom said that she’s waiting keenly.

Jane: (smiles)

Bridget: Anyways.. Enjoy your last function with your friends

Jane: I hope I will.

Bridget: (smiles and pats her back)

(Door bell rings and Jane opens the door. She looks that Damon has arrived to take her. Jane goes with him by the car. After a period of ten minutes they were at the appointed location)

Jane:  why she is not there?

Damon: she’s always late

Jane: She’s supposed to be on time

Damon: you’re right

(They wait and look here and there. A girl wearing purple coloured shirt comes towards them.) 

Jane: at last you are here. Thank God.

Magenta: (giggles)

Jane: you are….

Damon: (interrupts) I think it’s the time to enjoy the function.

(They look at the skillfully decorated place. They enjoy music. They watch different performances by different students. They enjoy variety of appetizing items.)

Damon: Ohh God! I’m full now.

Jane: You are a dustbin…

Magenta: (quickly) but you are never going to full..

Damon: (gazes and then grin)

Magenta: (to Jane) Amm …This function was nice but its’ sad you are leaving.

Jane: (looks at her miserably)

Damon: We will surely miss you.

Magenta: But we will be friends (smiles)

Jane: yes… We will be best friends forever.

Magenta: don’t forget or else…

Jane: or else what? (Gazes)

Magenta: What am I suppose to do with my sweet friend?

(They watch Bridget coming towards them)

Jane: Bye

Magenta and Damon (together): Bye..

(Jane moves with her sister towards her house by Taxi. They start packing their luggage after arrival)

Bridget: Done? (Points at her bag)

Jane: Everything is done.

Bridget: hope you enjoyed

Jane: yeah... (Nods)

(They head for the Taxi. Jane sits on the Taxi seat. She looks out of the window. Her tears flow from her eyes. Her face is wearing a little strange smile.)
