The Bonesmen
3rd Person POV
Morrigan was storming as she marched smartly away from the Wonderous Society. Fuming that Onstald stopped time and fled the scene when she exposed his lies! Unbelievable!
She stopped short as she realized too late that she had just entered a tricksy lane. A marked one, too! Well, it was only a pink alert, I should be fine.
Her body started moving toward the end of the lane. Ok, this should be easy. Breathe, stay calm, and retreat. But she couldn't retreat! It just kept dragging her to it, pulling her body towards the shadowy curtain at the end of the lane. Uh-oh. She kept on resisting, right to the end of the lane.
But as she passed through the curtain, her body stiffened and the breath was sucked out of her lungs. Her head started spinning, and with renewed vigor she fought to go back through the curtain. But she soon realized that she couldn't move. She started panicking, hyperventilating.
All of the sudden, it grew hotter, and she passed out. Bright light exploded beneath her eyelids, and she could breathe again.
But her body remained limp, and paralyzed, lying on the ground. At least, she thought she was on the ground.
As she got over her disorientation, she realized that she was not, in fact, lying in the ground, but moving, in the hard, cold, bony arms of some creature, which click-clacked as it moved. She was wishing she could see more as her mind skipped back to "bony". She almost passed out again. It couldn't possibly be the bones-men, right? Wrong. She was in the arms of the bones men, and in the hands of the evil auctioneers, and the evil buyers.
