╰ empty background

APPS USED IN THIS CHAPTER:
➡ ibisPaint X
➡ Phonto
➡ PicsArt
➡ PixelLab

I know the stuffs I'm posting here are too basic but I hope you look forward to those chapters under the tutorial section. I'd be happy if you request something for me to do a tutorial for like metallic text, double exposure or neon text which is what I'm working on right now.

Now, let's start. There are times when you need to make your book cover's title in Phonto and transfer it to another app, right? Instead of choosing a plain image as a background, why don't we get some help from our friend ibisPaint X?

🌙

[ibisPaint X]

1. Click the add (+) button at the bottom left.

🌙

2. Click 1:1 if you're going to use a square size but you can also choose other sizes or custom your own size by adjusting the white circles or by typing on the white rectangles.

🌙

3. Click the arrow (⬅) at the bottom right.

🌙

4. Click "Save as Transparent PNG"

You can also use PicsArt for your background, there are a few free fonts there as well if you're in a rush.

🌙

[PicsArt]

1. Click on the add (+) button at the bottom center.

🌙

2. Scroll down a bit until you see the “Color Backgrounds” section and click the first one.

🌙

3. Click the arrow (➡) at the top right.

🌙

4. Click the second option which is the “Gallery”.

_________________________________________________

If you have PixelLab, you can just use that one since it has an option for empty background.

🌙

[PixelLab]

1. Click the two overlapping squares icon.

🌙

2. Click “transparent”.

🌙

3. Click the save button and “save as image”.

🌙

4. Click “SAVE TO GALLERY” but make sure the format is png.

🌙

These will be useful in editing. You can save a square background only but in case you're wondering (obviously you're not), I always have empty backgrounds on my phone with different sizes: square for titles and most of the text I use, the size of my phone for wallpapers, twitter header size, wattpad book cover size and facebook header size. Yes, I have that many empty backgrounds. I get so irritated when I want to put the text in the center but ibisPaint doesn't have that option so I came up with that solution. For example, instead of using all my powers to measure if the text is at the center, I just use those backgrounds. I'll just show you, I'm bad at explaining.

Let's make a simple wallpaper.

🌙

I used my phone's size since I'm making a wallpaper.

🌙

Here's the preview for the text I typed in Phonto, I adjusted the position depending on the background and aligned it at the center.

🌙

Now, this is the outcome. See? It's perfectly placed at the center.

Of course, you can also use those backgrounds for other purposes, not just texts. This chapter may look like some basic trash but there may be editors out there that may find this useful at least.

With this chapter, you should be able to:
➡ Save texts with empty backgrounds.
➡ Place texts at the center of your photo in ibisPaint X.
