AUTHOR'S POV

"Happy Birthday Cherry blossom " , Rex and Sara said storming in Sakura's room , "thank you both and perhaps can you guys not call me by the meaning of my name " , Sakura said brushing her hairs with a hair brush. " hey kura, are you gonna wear these for you birthday? ", Sara asked pointing at her clothes , she was wearing her casual outfit, " yeah what's wrong with it " , Sakura said looking at her clothes. Sara looked at Rex and he nodded . Rex blindfolded Sakura and both Sara and Rex guided her to her living room , They let go of her and she removed her blindfold , her eyes widen in shock when she saw a big box in front of her, they motioned her to open it and she does the same. Sakura fell on her knees with tears in her eyes, she was so shocked. Rex and sara hugged and whispered in her ear " we want our cherry blossom to look more beautiful today " .

It's not like sakura cries easily, she was overwhelmed with emotions because of the gift , "thanks you guys, thank you soo much you are the best ", they stayed like that for a couple minutes before Rex broke the group hug , " ok crybaby now go and change , we've got a lot to do " , he said mockingly , " hey I'm not a cry baby " , Sakura said jokingly hitting his shoulder , "yes you are ", Rex teased and got up to run, sakura followed him , this continued till Rex accidently bumped into Laura. " here you are you little brat " , sakura said grabbing Rex's arm, "sorry kura please forgive me" , he said showing his puppy eyes, he know this will melt Sakura's heart, " ok just this time, but don't dare to call me crybaby ever again " , she said letting go of him and smiling sheepishly , he turned to Laura and apologize for bumping in her, " oh hey Laura " , Sakura said now noticing her friend standing behind Rex , " hey, happy birthday Kura " , Laura said with her warm smile,"thank you " , said Sakura."umm actually I've got something for you " , Laura said handing the birthday girl a small box , Sakura opened it and took the beautiful necklace out of the box ,

" this is beautiful Laura , thank you soo much " , sakura said smiling warmly, " most wlcm , I'll be in the kitchen" , Laura said before walking away.

Sakura was now wearing the beautiful dress her friends gave her, She tied her hairs in a high ponytail, she wore her black flats and the necklace Laura gave her.

Sakura looked in the mirror one last time and went downstairs . " omg kura you're looking amazing , I mean you look beautiful all the time but this is just.. " Sara said , she can't find the perfect word to describe how beautiful her best friend is looking , " outstanding " , Rex completed her sentence. All three of them went to the dinning room to have breakfast. "he's not here, again " , Sakura sigh her brother is not here again , although he yells at her everytime and gets angry without any reason from the past week she still loves him and feels safe around him. She know there is some misunderstandings that need to be cleared. " Hey kura I have a good news " , Laura said comming in with their breakfast , " what is it?" , She asked curiously , " Your grandpa is out for some business for 4 days " , Laura said serving the food . Sakura smiled widely.

Time skip brought to you by the birthday girl....

Everything was done , the decoration , the food , everything , the only thing left was the cake. " ok guys I'm going to get the cake and the gift " , sakura said , " what gift Cherry blossom ?" , rex asked curiously , "I'm gonna get a pendant for my brother " , she said happily , "Oh ok " , rex replied and she left .

Sakura's pov

I got the cake and the Phoenix pendent I've ordered a few days ago.

I was walking back home happily when I felt someone following me. I truned back and saw a suspicious fat boy staring at me then I felt something hit my head and everything went black.

I woke up in an what looks like am abundant factory (I don't what's the name of the place) , my hands legs were tied by a thick rope, " we've got her boss " , I heard someone say I looked around and saw the same fat boy with another one with ginger hairs and Carlos , they were talking to someone who was standing in the dark (a/n : back facing them) so I could not see the face, " I knew it " , I murmured , " Trevor, show her whom she messed up with " , I immediately recognised the voice , " B-brother " , I said in an inaudible voice, he's the leader or I may say BOSS of the blade sharks and how could he do this.. , I felt something hit me hard in my face but I was to shocked to do anything, I can't believe it . The Trevor guy kept on hitting me everywhere but I did not respond. I felt like I was numb. "let me what do you know about the most powerful blade " , the Trevor guy asked more like demanded but I didn't answer so he hit me again .

This continue for a few more hits when I heard some say, " can't you just get the information out of a weak girl Trevor, what a shame ", I looked up and saw a very familiar boy waking towards us , I immediately looked down my hairs covering my face , thank god I have long hairs , the boy forcefully made me look up by pulling my hairs . His eyes widen in shock and he immediately let go of me, " S-s-sakura " , he said stepping back , I smiled at him, " hello stuart " , I said in a low voice. "let her go " , he yelled at carlos , "why should I listen to you your not our boss , and to remind you kai himself told us to get every information and make sure that this girl and her little team will never dare to come in our way " , carlos said with a smirk . I was feeling emotionless right now, I didn't know how to feel or react .

Author's pov

Stuart was really shocked to see Sakura sitting there tied and covered in bruises and blood , if kai will see her like this he will definitely kill all of us , he thought, little did he know that kai doesn't care about Sakura how he use to do before. He yelled at carlos to let her go but carlos didn't listen. " you don't know whom you're hurting ", stuart said with gritting his teeths , "oh is she you little girlfriend " , Casey said and this made him more angry. Sakura was like a little sister to him , he know her from when she was 4, he use to visit kai as an friend and that's how he met her. " No you moron she's ka-" , stuart was cut off by kai, " what the matter? Why are you idiots arguing " , kai said coldly. He could not see Sakura as she was behind the four boys. " I think the girl is Stuart's girlfriend " , Carlos said mockingly , "I've told you before also SHE. IS. NOT. MY. GIRLFRIEND. And kai I think you should see yourself who's the girl " , Stuart said pushing others aside and moving out of the way too.

Kai's eyes were the size of saucer when he saw the girl in front of him , no matter how much he hate her she's still his little sister and he cannot afford to see her like this , he thought they have mistaken her for someone else , Sakura can never do anything like leading a beyblade team. " are you sure she's the one " , Kai asked looking at Carlos with fire in his eyes, he's ready to kill all of them right now. Carlos nodded and said, "yes boss, she's the one I've told you about , her name is Sakura and -" , again kai cut him off and banged his , trevor's and casey's head in the nearest wall, " let her go " , he said and they untied her .

The three boys carlos, casey and trevor were confused as hell , " anyone knows what the hell just happened ? This man asked us to get her here and he commanded us to hit her and now he's mad at us for doing so " , trevor said pointing his index finger at kai who stood a few steps away from them hands crossed , Stuart sigh before saying, " he didn't know you'll bring her and
I'm glad he didn't kill any of us. " ,
" oh so she is his girlfriend " , carlos said gritting his teeths, stuart knelt down near the still shocked girl , " no you idiot, she's his sister and he cannot bear if she even gets a scratch and you guy's have hurt her really bad " , he finished , they all looked at kai shocked . Casey bent in front of sakura giving her the Phoenix pendant she brought for her brother , " I think this belongs to you, we're really sorry to hurt you miss " , he said placing the pendant in her hand.

Kai just stood there, his eyes closed and arms crossed , he was trying suppress the anger he's feeling right now , not that he's angry at the boy but on himself to let them torture his little sister . Right now he don't care about venom or anything , he only wanna go back in time and stop this from happening . " leave " , he said firmly, everyone except Sakura looked at him confused , " I said leave, now " , he said again rising his voice , they all nodded and went out. Kai exhaled deeply and punched the nearest wall with all his force , he kept on punching the wall till his hands started to bleed then hewalked towards Sakura, she haven't moved a muscle and this made him worry more , he knelt in front of her examining her now damaged body , he cupped her cheeks with his hands "I'm sorry sakura , I'm really sorry. I'm sorry for letting this all happen , I'm sorry for treating you badly , I'm sorry for not taking care of you " , he said with tears in his eyes , he didn't care at this movement if she's the reason for their father leaving them and their mother dying but little did he know that it was all a lie told to him so that he would hate her. He looked at her with sorrow and guilt , he picked her up and went to their house.

At home

The door of the house opened and everyone inside ran to the direction , their happiness just faded away as they saw kai carring Sakura covered in bruises and blood. Laura immediately ran to get the first aid kit while kai took Sakura to her room. She ran upstairs to Sakura's room , she was laying on her bed like a lifeless body, kai was sitting next to her looking at her and Sara and rex were standing near the bed clearly worried , Laura cleared her throat grabbing everyone attention , " if you don't mind Kai, Rex can you guys go out her wounds need to be treated " , they nodded and went out.

After the wounds were treated Sara took Sakura's hand in her and squeezed it gently, " what happened kura? Who did this to you " , she asked calmly. " Blade sharks " , was all she said . Sara's eyes widen in shock, " so now you know that your brother is the leader of blade sharks " , sara said and she nodded.

After Sara and Rex left Laura knocked on Kai's door and said , " the dinner is ready, please come down " , and she went to the kitchen . As kai entered the dinning room he looked around curiously , " she planned a ssurprise birthday party for you " , Laura said setting the plates on the table, Kai sat at his place and that's when she saw his hands , " omg your hands, they need to be treated ", Laura said looking at his knuckles , "I don't need it I'm alright " , he said "But-" , she tried to say but kai cut her, "I said I'm alright just leave " , he said firmly and she stepped away, " ok and by the way happy birthday " , she said before leaving.

Kai was laying on his bed trying to sleep but Sakura's shocked keeps on coming every time he close his eyes. He sigh and got up and walked to Sakura's room, he opened the door slowly expecting her to be sleeping but he was wrong she wasn't in her bed. He ran in and looked around only to find her in the balcony on her room , she was staring at the sky , he walked to her and stood next to her, " it's beautiful isn't it ", she said not looking away from the sky , somehow kai felt relived that atleast she spoke, " yeah it is " , he said looking at the beautiful night sky . They stood thier in silence for a while before kai decided to break it, " I'm really sorry Sakura " , he said looking at her, she turned her head in his direction and flashed a smile , " it's ok, I've heard it at first time when you apologized and I forgave you right then " , she said looking in his eyes, " then why didn't you say anything then " , he asked, " because I was shocked , I never expected you to be the leader of the evil group " , she said . Kai hugged her and said , " I promise I'll stop everything from now and will never let anyone hurt you ever again " , she smiled and hugged him back. After they broke the hug she saw his injured hands and took them in her's , " look at them, they need to get treated , come here " , she said worriedly and dragged him in her room, " sit " , she said gesturing towards the bed and went in her bathroom to get first aid kit. After she treated his hand she pulled out something from her drawer and handed it to Kai , " happy birthday brother " , she said smiling at him. He looked at the thing she just gave him, a beautiful pendant with a Phoenix, it looks just like dronzer , he smiled and just a second after hus smile faded, " I'm sorry kura I've not got anything for you " , he said sadly , " I got you back, that's the biggest gift I can ever get " , she said hugging him and he hugged her back .

After some time kai decided to go back in his room, he bid her good night and was about to exit the room when Sakura stopped him, " can you sleep with me tonight ?" , she asked innocently, he nodded and went back in . They laid down on the bed and she hugged him , " thank you brother " , she said happily , kai giggled at her cuteness , "anything for my cheery blossom " , he said kissing her forehead. Sakura was really happy that everything was back to normal, now they can live happily , BUT , little did she know it was just the beginning , real problems are waiting ahead for her.
