"I'm sorry."

"I know."

"Zach look at me."

He turned his head so he was looking at Skyler. His eyes were sad and regretful.

"I'm sorry." He said slowly, putting as much feeling into the two words as he possibly could.

Zach smiled and hugged him.

"I know." This time his tone wasn't ungrateful it was full of understanding and forgiveness.

"I'm sorry too.... About ruining the moment too by the way." Alec said and laughed quietly at the last part.

The white wolf growled, reminding the boys she was still here.

"What do we do about her?" Skyler asked, getting off the ground. He leaned back against the faded gray walls of Zach's house, pushing his weight onto his good leg.

"Well she hasn't disappeared so she obviously wants something." Alec said and looked at Zach.

As if on cue she began to walk towards Zach, her eyes calm and trusting. Before he knew what he was doing he walking over to her. He didn't even remember getting up.

The wolf stopped in front of him Zach hesitantly put his hand out, stoping as well. He wanted her to make the first move, he needed to know she trusted him before he could trust her. She walked forward, putting her head against his open hand. Her fur felt soft between his fingers and he let a small smile spread across his face.

"Not to ruin your bonding moment but how are two wolves, someone who has visions, and a useless human supposed to stop some really powerful superhuman organization?" Skyler broke the silence. The two boys turned to look at him, doubt lay within him and his arms were crossed in annoyance."No offense Zach."

"Yeah I know what you mean. It does look like we're kinda outnumbered. But we'll find more people like us, right Alec?"

"Umm, yeah sure. But the rest of what you said, it's not entirely true. I'm able to sense people like me. That's why I paused for a bit when I first saw Zach. I think you're different too, but I'm not certain. He might-"

There was a flash of white light and Zach clutched his head in pain. Images flashed through his mind. He saw the town of Sylvan and a... person. He seemed normal as he walked down the street with a friendly smile on his face, and his black hair messily brushed to the side, but his dark brown eyes were determined and he seemed on edge. It seemed like he was looking for something, someone. It gave Zach a bad feeling, butterflies filled his stomach and he grew nervous. He didn't understand, why did he get this feeling from a person walking down the street?

Then everything went dark. Zach could hear faint whispers, like someone was calling his name. They got louder and louder until it felt like someone was screaming. Their voice was anxious and  panicked.

His eyes snapped open. He was on the grass covered ground, cold sweat ran down his back and he couldn't seem to calm his panting breaths. He looked around, Skyler let out a relived sigh and pulled Zach up so he was sitting. Alec looked equally worried and his wolf sat beside him.

"Are you ok?" They asked, almost in unison.

"I- I don't know... what happened?"

"Well Alec was talking and you, kinda passed out. We tried waking you but, but you just laid there. You scared us."

"How long was I out?"

"Only 3 or 4 minutes." Alec answered. He kept stealing nervous glances at Zach's wolf, still shaken up from their fight, just minutes before.

"I saw something, someone. He didn't say his name but I knew it was Jace." He said and Alec ran into the house without any hesitation, leaving the boys wondering why he was so scared of him.
