Run!
Reaching into her pocket, Olive grabbed a handful of loose change and dropped it there, right there by that lady as she leant down to check the lower shelves. The effect was tremendous. As the lady reached down to collect her change, her face scarlet with embarrassment, Olive ran. She ran faster than ever. Left. Right. Left. Left. Straight. She got there finally, just as the woman's screams echoed after her.
She was now hidden safely in the F section for the records of the village. Strange. She thought. The files go by first name. Slowly, she flicked through file after file. By the end, she had just one name. Felix; 7th Rose, Aston street. Thats where he would be next. But then, a scuffle, a noise. Following her instincts, Olive hid. She had a suprisingly good view from where she was, behind a pile of old boxes.
In the dingy light. Olive could just see something dark moving about where she had just been. It seemed to be looking for something, mirroring her previous movements. Then it saw the thing it wanted. No. Olive thought. The file he was looking for was the same file she had found moments before. It had to be him. It had to be. The man took one more look around before slinking out the building, Olive close behind.
Yes, it must be him. The same black car, and in the light, Olive could see more finer details. His crooked back, his slow yet hurried movements, his pale complexion. He drove off. So did Olive. He turned right. So did she. They soon arived at Felix's house. The man stepped out and crept round the side of the house. That was Olive's chance.
It was dark outside, and using that, Olive slipped into the backseat of the car used by the man. Once inside, she curled unto a ball and awaited the man's arrival.
