When Martin returned to the van everyone was slowly getting up,
"Morning sir." Moaned Ollie, stretching on one of the back seats.
Martin took a step back in shock, "w-what?"
"I was just saying good morning." Laughed Ollie, sitting up.
"How the hell did you get there?" He breathed with wide eyes.
"I fell asleep here?" Ollie Replied, confused.
Martin immediately exited the van and ran for the bathrooms, Ollie wasn't there..
he looked to his arm, which was still bleeding.
He cursed in shock, leaning against the dusty white tile walls of the bathrooms.
"What is wrong with me..?" He breathed, "what the fuck is wrong with me..." he couldn't comprehend that he had just imagined a whole conversation with Ollie.
When he returned to the van the glove compartment was opened and Cloda was passing out paracetamol to everyone.
"You all hungover?" Laughed Martin, sitting down in the driver's seat, pulling on a pair of shoes and reaching his hand out to Cloda for a couple tablets.
"How's Miss Flynn?" Asked Ryan, "heard you speaking to her."
Martin took a gulp of water to wash down the tablets, "Yeah she's alright. Probably coming back tomorrow."
"You miss her already?" Chuckled Lucy,
"Shut up he's in love." Mocked Cloda, powdering her face.
Martin laughed putting in the clutch and turning the key.
"Steady on we've not even brushed our teeth yet!" Called Jemma, putting one hand on Martin's shoulder.
"Just want to see how much fuel we've got." He said, before the van suddenly jolted foreword, causing a couple yelps with surprise as the band tumbled against each other.
"Sorry- took the clutch out too quickly!" Said Martin, seeing their faces and laughing, "maybe I should leave it a bit before I drive, eh?"
The band giggled to each other before Lucy narrowed her eyes,
"Hey what's up with your arm?" She asked him.
Martin saw that his wrist was bleeding again,
"For god's sake." He moaned, opening his door and pouring water over his open wound, letting the pink water trickle into the grass, grinding his teeth as it stung. You're squirming, Martin.. that's not a fraction of the amount of pain that Martha felt. He thought to himself.
"Hey, sir." Called Ollie, taking out a bandage from the first aid kit and passing it to his teacher.
"T-thanks, mate." Martin replied, shakily wrapping the bandage around his arm.
"How'd you manage that?" Asked Ryan, using the rear view mirror to gel his hair.
"Dunno!" He concluded, drying his hands and stepping inside the door, sliding his sleeve down again and pulling a grey hoodie over himself.
Ollie sat down on the passenger seat while everyone got ready behind them.
"Are you okay?" Martin asked him, remembering Ollie's confession of being homeless last night.
"Oh- Yeah. Don't worry about me, I was just drunk out of my mind." He replied, forcing a laugh.
"Where are you gonna stay after you go home?" Martin asked,
"Well.." Ollie looked to Martin then looked down, "what kind of answer do you want? A good one or an honest one?"
"Preferably both?" Suggested Martin.
Ollie shook his head, "where I stay is where I want and deserve to stay."
"You don't deserve to be sleeping on the streets!" Insisted Martin,
"You don't understand, you don't know how I've been feeling." Ollie replied rather sternly.
Martin paused, "I don't understand?" He uttered, his eyes narrowing as he faced Ollie. "I don't understand?"
Lucy and Cloda climbed back in the van after washing their teeth in the bathrooms.
Martin turned on the engine and turned around,
"Sorry guys we've gotta leave now- I'll stop somewhere for breakfast, but honestly just take something out of the food bags. Man at the gate said if we're not out of here by eleven we've gotta pay another £40." Announced Martin.
"That's alright." Jemma replied from a couple seats behind, getting comfortable as she put her seatbelt on.
Martin looked in his wing mirrors before setting off,
"I didn't mean it like that.." Ollie sighed,
"You think you killed Ellie." Martin said, bluntly.
Ollie gave a gaze of self-loath to Martin, "of course I did. I let go of her hand.. it was my fucking fault."
"No it wasn't. Ollie.. Alex said it himself, it was deliberate." Martin responded.
"W-Why? Why would he do that? H-he wanted to get to you, how's killing my little sister going to get to you? Why did he even want to get to you in the first place? What did you do? What did you do to him?!" Ollie questioned, his face growing stern and almost afraid of Martin.
"Ollie we spoke about this yesterday." Reminded Martin, subtly trying to calm him down.
"Did you do something to him?!" Yelled Ollie,
"No!" Martin retaliated.
"Then why the fuck did he do this to all of us?! Why not just you? Why do we have to have our lives destroyed too?!"
"Your lives aren't destroyed you've still got a chance!"
"I'm fucking homeless!" Yelled Ollie before Cloda interrupted with a near scream.
"Would you two shut the fuck up and listen to yourselves! What the hell are you talking about?! Arguing about who's more depressed than the other?! Some wanker got jealous and that's why we're here! Everyone's depressed, everyone is suicidal!"
"Cloda you can't say anything! You don't know the half of what we've been through!" Shouted Ollie in rage,
"Ollie drop it." Uttered Ryan,
"No! Because you've got a fucking home! You live with two parents that love you and you don't care about them! You've never lost anybody in your life!"
"Yes I have." Defended Ryan, with a countenance of absolute disgust, "How fucking dare you, yes I have! My mother left me in the streets hundreds of miles away from my home when I was seven! I can't count the number of times I've been raped and attacked! I can't care for my parents because I don't trust them! Because I don't want them to feel bad when I die of this tumour in a couple years!"
Martin pulled over onto a side road, immediately switching off the engine and sitting still.
"Everyone just..." he took a breath, "just calm down."
