When Martin exited the shower he found Zoë sitting up in bed, her eyes quite red, her neck had swollen and had begun to bruise from George's harshness towards her.
He sat down beside her and wrapped his arms around her, his mind focused on the single fact that Bronagh Watson was dead.
"I'm gonna go to the hospital.. just to see her.." he told Zoë, keeping her close.
"Okay." She replied, blankly smiling at him.
"I'll be back in twenty minutes." He assured.
"Be careful." She begged,
"Zoe it's alright." He promised, knowing that everything was sinking in to her, by her incapability to keep still.
He took her hands and kissed them, looking straight up into her shaken eyes, "twenty minutes, Okay? I love you."
"Take as long as you like." She replied, lying back on the bed and staring up to the ceiling.
Martin stood up, not wanting to leave her alone in this state, but knowing he had to.
"You gonna be okay?" He asked her in a calming and caring tone.
She nodded and let him kiss her again, before the tears broke, and she told him to go.

Lucy sat on her hotel bed beside Cloda, the other three were in the other room adjacent.
"Did Ollie really snog you?" Asked Lucy, out of the blue.
Cloda laughed, "it was an accident."
"An accident." Impersonated Lucy, "what a fucking player."
Cloda and Lucy made eye contact, laughing. "Yeah.. he really does love Jemma though."
"Does she love him?" Asked Lucy, raising an eyebrow.
"I... think she wants to." Cloda replied, looking up to the ceiling.
"Cloda.." said Lucy, leaning over, "you don't fancy him do you?"
"No fucking way!" Cloda Insisted, "if I fancied him and he snogged me I'd be right in there like a snake!"
Lucy laughed at her, rolling back over, and lying on her back.
"So... you and Ryan are back together?" Cloda began, smirking.
Lucy smiled "piss off."
"Are you two..." Cloda faced Lucy and bit her tongue, "have you two.."
Lucy jokingly slapped Cloda, "shut up!"
"Oh my god you have?!"
"Shh!" Gasped Lucy, covering her mouth.
"What- you don't want the teachers to hear? Like you don't know exactly what they were doing at 4am this morning."
"Oh don't put images in my he-"
Ollie burst in the door to find the girls giggling on the bed.
"Ladies! Up!" He demanded, standing beside the bed.
"Where are we going?" Cloda asked,
"Nowhere until Mr McCafferson comes back." Ollie said, leaning against the wall.
"What? Where's he gone?" Asked Lucy,
"He didn't say- and Miss Flynn isn't saying anything either.. I think she's in the shower now."
Lucy and Cloda sat up and looked around, "there's so much we don't know about last night.." Sighed Cloda.
"At least one person has died.. they're not okay." Said Ollie.
Cloda plaited her red hair to the side before meeting Ollie's tired eyes in the mirror,
"You alright, Ollie?" She asked him, worriedly.
"Yeah, I... I need help with something, actually." He admitted.
"Yeah, of course. What do you need?" Offered Cloda, turning around as Lucy stood forwards to Ollie.
"I.. got an offer into.. well.. into one of the best universities for engineering in the world.. in Vancouver." He told them,
"What?! Oh my gosh that's amazing!" Exclaimed Lucy,
"Well bloody done, Ollie!" Congratulated Cloda.
"Yeah.. but.. they've given me a 24 hour deadline to accept or decline the offer.. if I accept I can't back out, I've gotta pay the money.. if I decline I can't change my mind.. and with this comes the band dilemma.. if we're gonna continue.."
Cloda bit her lip, knowing his predicament, "talk to Mr Martini about it."
"He'll only start looking at Miss Flynn for a snog or something. Those two are obsessed with each other." He sighed.
There was suddenly a knock on the door,
"Yeah?" Called Cloda,
"Ten minutes then we'll go?" Projected Martin's voice.
All three of them looked at each other in confusion, "Yeah alright." She replied back at him.

After ten minutes the band packed their bags and walked into the main room where Martin was standing up by the window, looking out to the city while on the phone to his lawyer.
"I know it looks awful- but what you were told was true." He was saying,
"So- the day after you were put into debt, the man who put you in that position is dead? You're saying that is a coincidence?" Asked Anne; his lawyer, who had been frequently contacted these last few months.
"No.. no of course it's not." Sighed Martin, lowering his voice as his students walked in. "Did you get the record from the police?"
"I didn't get a lot of context. Only that he was threatening a friend of yours and was shot dead after attempted murder, and one successful kidnap and murder." She said.
Martin took a deep breath, "look, I can't say now.. I'd rather we meet in person; but he admitted a lot.. about Martha too."
"Martin.." Anne began, "you'll get the money- as you're his biological next of kin. And I'll back you up, okay? Have you written a statement for the police yet?"
"I've made a rough start- they asked me questions in the car last night, but I'm just gonna reiterate them."
"Good.. good." Sighed Anne before asking, "Martin, you've been through hell these last few months; are you alright?"
Martin took a couple breaths, "Yeah.. thanks for all this." He responded.
"Anytime- I'll call or text you later on so I can book a face to face appointment with you."
"Alright, thanks Anne." He replied, hanging up and putting his phone in his pocket. He was completely shaken, but with the aid of a slight overdose on anti depressants and a couple of sterling cigarettes after he saw Bronagh's body in the mortuary, he felt almost normal.
"Alright guys- allons-y!" He exclaimed, faking excitement.
"What about Miss Flynn?" Asked Ryan,
"She's coming now, she just takes about a thousand years to pack." He replied, taking his keys out of his pocket and throwing them to Ryan. "Go and put your stuff in the boot, We'll be down soon."
"No rush." Said Ryan, giving him a sincere glance before they left the room.
Martin gave a big exhale after they left, and he walked back into the bedroom where Zoë sat on the bed, her bag completely packed beside her and her head resting in her hands as she tried to disguise her cries.
"Hey.." soothed Martin, sitting down beside her and pulling her into a warm embrace.
"I don't know if I can do this anymore." She wept, her head resting on his shoulder.
"Of course you can, Zoe. Of course you can." He assured her, holding her tight as she shook her head,
"I wish he just shot me! I wish he didn't miss!" She cried, making Martin's heart sink,
"N-no Zoe.." was about all he could utter in response, "y-your baby.."
She found herself panting for breath and Martin knelt down on the ground by her feet, holding her shaking hands.
"M-Martin I should have d-died, n-not Bronagh- it- it should've been me." She sobbed,
"Zoe, shh, you're having a panic attack, it's okay, it's all over."
She nodded, sniffing and wiping her tears before standing up and picking up her suitcase.
"Let's go." She uttered, sweeping the last tear away from her cheek as she walked towards the door and Martin followed close behind her, leaving the beautiful hotel with an uneasy countenance.
