Zoe had to take the juniors. Martin hadn't shown his face all day since he ran off to the bathroom.
Zoe had to plan all the lessons; the first years were all eleven to twelve year olds, noisy and nosy. Zoe was still struggling with her hangover and exhaustion. Some of the kids in particular were driving her mad.
"Do you have a boyfriend miss?" Asked one of the blonde eleven year olds, and the rest of the class laughed.
"And what's that to do with ternary form?" Responded Miss Flynn, raising an eyebrow in lieu of getting angry.
"Is Mr McCafferson your boyfriend?" Asked another one,
"Can we please get back to important stuff?!" Moaned Zoë,
"Oh he is!" Chanted some of the annoying kids. Zoe took a step back in frustration before seeing Martin protrude from outside the door. The once grey sky was clearing and a blue hue lit the room as the sun seeped through.
Martin gave a brief smile, miming do you need help?
Zoe nodded with huge eyes before Martin barged through the door.
"What's up with you lot?!" He called, walking through the centre of the classroom.
"We thought you were off." Said someone,
"Well you thought wrong!" Repelled Mr McCafferson, making his way over to Zoe and patting her shoulder, laughing.
"See! They are together!" Laughed the kids as Martin walked towards his desk to take a drink of water.
"'Scuse me?!" Laughed Martin, looking over at Zoe and blushing, "is that what they're on about?!" He chuckled, "we met last week!"
"Love at first sight!" Interjected one of the girls, making Zoe roll her eyes, if they knew..
"They're totally together." Said someone else, before Martin's genius worked.
"Yeah.. we totally are!" He replied, "you wouldn't guess what we were up to last night!"
At that, the bell rang and the now-mortified students walked out of the classroom, giving concerned and anxious looks back at the teachers.
"Oh my gosh! Martin!" Laughed Zoe, putting her hands over her mouth, "they're twelve years old!"
Martin laughed as he sat down at his desk.
"I'm sorry for leaving you with them.." he said, looking up at Zoe who was still standing by the whiteboard.
"Feeling any better?" She asked,
"Meh.." Sighed Martin, reading some very good emails as Zoë sat down beside him.
"You don't look well, maybe you should go home." Offered Zoe, putting her hand on his shoulder.
"I think I lost half my body weight in the last two hours." He said, giving a mere chuckle.
"You look like it." Replied Zoë, looking to his stomach.
"Ey, watch where you're looking, Zo. People have been asking questions." Laughed Martin, before grabbing his coat, "it's lunch time- right? Wanna come out for a walk with me?" He asked,
"Sure." Said Zoe, taking hold of her long cream coat and a sandwich.
Zoe and Martin walked out of the classroom and out into the courtyard where they saw Ollie and Jemma sitting on a bench together.  The sky was bright blue and the air was warm, it was almost summertime. The green grass was illuminated by the sun.
"Ooh.." squeaked Zoë, trying not to be seen by them.
"Are they gonna kiss?!" Whispered Martin, looking at the two teenagers who sat very close together on the bench.

Ollie looked into Jemma's eyes,
"I like you Jem.." he said, nervously smiling at her.
"I like you too." She replied, smiling back and looking to his lips.
Ollie tentatively touched her cheek with one hand, and her back with the other as Jemma put a hand on his neck.
But just as Ollie was about to close his eyes, he saw, Out of the corner of his eye, Miss Flynn and Mr McCafferson leaning against the school wall behind them.
"For God's sake.." he laughed, breaking apart from what would have been their first kiss.
Jemma looked behind to see Zoe and Martin laughing at them both.
Martin gave a whistle at them, making Ollie and Jemma laugh. Jemma pulled a water bottle out of her blazer and handed it to Ollie before taking out another one for herself.
"Come on!" She giggled,
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Chuckled Ollie, unscrewing the lid before running at Martin and Zoe and splashing the water.
Zoe screamed with laughter, running out onto the grass as Martin took out his mug of coffee.
Martin laughed at Ollie as they threatened each other with water and coffee.
"You splash me with water you know that I'm gonna pour this coffee all over you." Laughed Martin,
"Oh you wouldn't." Teased Ollie,
"Oh I would!" Chuckled Martin.
"Oh would you?!" Asked Ollie, suddenly splashing Martin with the water and running away.
Laughing with surprise Martin ran after Ollie, his shirt drenched.
Zoe sat down on a bench beside Jemma who had now given up on trying to splash her teacher.
After a while of running, Martin gave up, laughing, he downed his coffee and leaned against the wall to catch his breath.
"He's too fast for me.." laughed Martin.
Ollie slowly, breathlessly, made his way over to Martin where he laughed, shaking his hand.
"Truce." He sighed, sitting down on the ground.
"Sorry for interrupting." Laughed Martin,
"Oh.. piss off." Laughed Ollie, nudging his teacher with his elbow.
"Didn't know you were a romantic." Martin chuckled, taking Ollie's water away from him and taking a sip.
"Well what were you and miss doing out here yourselves?"
"Having a walk." Insisted Marin,
"Having a walk?"
"Well I was hardly going to snog her in school!"
"So you're gonna snog her." Said Ollie, smirking,
"I didn't mean it like that..." laughed Martin, making eye contact with Ollie, who knew Martin's intentions, "God's sake, piss off."
"Is she single?" Asked Ollie,
"Yeah, only newly single though." Replied Martin, lowering his dynamic and giving a brief glance at Zoe who was talking to Jemma.
"Same as you, you're perfect." Said Ollie, before remembering Martin's dead wife, "-sorry."
"Nah it's alright. I can't believe I'm getting dating advice from a student."
"I can't believe I'm giving it to you." Laughed Ollie, sliding down the wall and onto the pavement.
Martin sat down beside him, "tomorrow morning, 8am, spread the word." He said.
"What?" Asked Ollie, looking up,
"We're going on tour." Replied Martin, trying to keep in his smile.
"Tomorrow?!" Asked Ollie, "b-but I've got exams... I.."
"Your band is amazing. I believe in you." Martins smile had already broken through.
Ollie was too shaken to speak,
"I've got six gigs organised so far." Informed Martin, "two in France, four in Italy.. and I'm organising a few more. I've sent samples to music companies. They love your band."
"A-are you joking..?" Asked Ollie, his mouth dropping.
"Actually, no. No I'm not. Now you better tell everyone."
"B-but Ryan?" Asked Ollie,
"He's coming."
"He is? But he's got epilepsy.."
"I've done a course."
"I need to sit down.."
"You are sitting down."
Ollie gave a mere laugh, looking out at the court yard before meeting Martin's eyes and shaking his head.
"Sorry for splashing you with water." He sighed, smiling,
"That's alright." Martin replied, joyed by Ollie's shock.
Ollie then, sinking in, broke into a huge grin, he patted Martin's shoulder before running over to Jemma.
"Jem we're going on tour tomorrow!" He called, taking her hands and spinning her around.
"Tomorrow?!" Jemma Asked.
Martin gave a glance at Zoe, smiling at her and winking. It was almost summer and they were about to get away from the world for a while.
